  • is ... awesome =D

  • 2:19 Victory! 2:21 *Explodes*

  • Best Ending Ever!!!

  • you are a god.

  • First thing when 2049 comes I will play this game

  • 3... 2... 1...

    BRUSH!!1!1!!1!

  • Like a f***ing boss...

  • Till this day it's my favorite racing game and will be till 2049.

  • Lol Nice ending, survive a hole track of death traps, smash blocks, and lava just to get smacked 2 on a tip of a wall in the end XD

  • Those were the days. Miss the crazy arcade style games. Now all we got is uber realistic crap and ganster street racing crap. What happened to battle modes, stunt modes, crash modes, unrealistic maps with loop da loops, custom built cars like lego racers... now everything just sucks.

  • Looks a lot like nitronic rush...

  • @ShadowBlackGamer Rush 2049 clearly is copying

  • that was trippy....

  • I remember when I used to play this game with my friends :) those were good times.

they should make another Rush game.

  • Holy shit, the wings that popped out of the car,

This was one of my favorite games as a kid.

  • I love the physics system in this game. Just a small bump can send a 3100 pound car flying 150 feet.

  • The game had a very nice atmosphere. I wish they continued with it's style. Sort of sad.

  • cars with wings!

  • awesomesauce ending to go along with that great run:)

  • i always got stuck at 1:05, that shit always sucked! good racing son

  • @LOGIC42369 Hell, I didn't even know you could do that without the wings! I always tried to flip the car sideways, and even then it didn't work unless the alignment was perfect. Pain in the ass with the Crusher.

  • @LastStar007 haha yea right? i always thought u needed the wings too and that would fuck me up

  • This is my favorite car/racing game . I hate this crap they are coming out with. Even the Burnout Paradise couldnt compare to this..and that was the best of the time. Ha ha ha

  • how do u get that?

  • Amazing race :O

  • Now do it in the Dreamcast version, there is a gang screen where the 2049 logo is at on the upper back behind the chequered flag on this version. I loved this game so much that I went to San Francisco and found it to be very similarly laid out, the driving in the real one is worse though (no cellphones in the game).

  • obstacle course in 1:31.518 TAS: watch?v=btc3eraip4g

  • This game series really took a turn for the worst. It seems to be happening with all the old series these days

  • nice finish lol

  • Hahaha. Awesome. I was never able to do it in a single pass. Those open loops at the end always crashed me, and that one triple ramp part into the triple opening. That music is killer too. Has that old Rush D&B feel with trance overtones. Dig it.

  • thumbs up if you replayed this 5+ times

  • i have this game emulated , buti cant get the sound to work on the amulator on my wii , i seroiusly love this game

  • Comment removed

  • yeah it's funny but the N64 version is actually the best version of the game. I can'y believe I did this back in the day. I spent a day or two of practice and did a victory dance around the house when I pulled it off.

  • What do i have to do to get this track?

  • What bums me out is I have a N64 without an expansion pack and no card to save my stuff (i do have one, but it is conveniently broken even though it must likely broke due to the fact we left around for several years)

  • this game fuckin sucks

  • @MegaRMan97 you suck

  • I swear I thought Jesus was playing.

No one in the world could possibly kick that much ass.

  • Rush 2049

    9 - 4 - 2 = 3

This is technically Rush 3 :P

  • ROFL 2:19

  • 1:54 aw fuck! lol

  • God I remember how many trials and errors it took for me to do it perfectly. Was that really so many years ago.. jeez I'm old lol.

  • why is there 2 blow up marks near the end?

  • i cant find my rush 2049 (n64) and the my n64 with the expansion pack and my memory card for it so life is boring right now

  • that track is possible in dreamcas?

  • Someone should upload a video of battle mode gameplay. I haven't seen a video of that yet.

  • dam nice!!

  • i miss this game so much

  • i wish that they would releases this game for ds and psp

  • o_O. Nice driving. Kudos' for you. :)

  • good job! yeah how do u get the car?

  • I just recently got the Dreamcast version (Well, for the PS2 but same version), and apparently you can't customize the colors of the cars nearly as much as you can in the N64 version. In the N64 version you can customize any of the colors, add stripes, etc. Kinda bums me out its not in the other versions. Anyway, thats the 8-Ball car you should have by default, just customized in a way not possible on the Dreamcast version.

  • okay thanks! :)

  • i still play this game today its a fun game! but you are right about the obstacle course its heck uh hard!

  • @RedTopProductions N64 is god!

  • @RedTopProductions how u use the wings

  • very good. very hard indeed.

  • nice driving! I remember how hard it was to control land properly

  • I never finished that race, it was hard as hell

  • Damn, wish I had this game for my 64, spend alot of time playing it.

  • Good for you son, but I never claimed to be the best

  • liar, post proofs

  • this game needs to be on for ipod touch games

  • damn i never got THAT car! and sheesh ur good. i had this for the dreamcast

  • guys i bought a game called midway games arcade 3 and it has rush 2049 and rush the rock dont believe me? search it

  • the wings were the best.... no other racing game has it

  • soooo lucky at 1:07

  • best game ever

  • i need rush 2 back... i remember renting games like these at videostores... good times

  • how do you unlock that?

  • damn, that's wicked. i miss N64 as a whole :(

  • I need to start pu my N64 again...Maybe I'll play the first Rush first...

  • wow that game was what year? and its now almost 2010 and there arent any good games like this!!

  • my records 2:04 :)

  • How did you get the black/white paint job? It's not a paint option on the Dreamcast. Is it only available on N64?

  • Someone else mentioned that too... I've never played the Dreamcast version but in the N64 version you can paint any car any color you want, add stripes, change the rims, etc. just like Rush 2 and the original San Francisco Rush

  • The original SFRush didn't let you change rims or add stripes or any of that.

  • Good call, think you're right... I haven't played that one in ages. Think I will when I get home now!

  • How do you unlock the Obstacle course?? Please tell me soon. Thanks

  • 1000000 stunt points

  • @sagar429 Get 1 Million Stunt Points (Might take You Weeks)

  • Funny Ending

  • Wow! This brings me back... now I remember why I liked this game so much.

  • great driving

  • AWESOME

  • Ending Fail

  • How do you get the obstacle? I dont have it on mines...and its the n64 version

  • You have to unlock it by accumulating 1,000,000 points in the stunt courses. It takes a while, but you get pretty good at stunts and preps you for the infamous obstacle course!

  • So awesome. This game rulz all.

  • Man, this game brings back so many memories...

  • @jamespweb i was just trying to explain to one of my friends just how sick this game was esp the stunt tracks.,and hell yeah the memories!!

they should remake this or reissue it for the Arcade

  • Did a nice job and everything, but some things are inconsistent.

First off the wings. Please tell me if I;m wrong, but the N64 version had no wings correct?

Secondly, don;t know about paint jobs, but the 8 ball can;t go white (I;m assuming that it can in the N64 version so I won;t make too big deal about it).

Finally, how did you make it through the slit in the wall without going sideways? (1:06 ish)

ANd you got VERY lucky at times with the timing of the obstacles.

    Still, bravo!!

  • First: Yes, the N64 version has wings.

Second: Yes, you can paint the 8-ball any color in the n64 version

    Third: lots of tries!

And a lot of it I intentionally timed that way, thats why I cant get a faster time, I cant get a good rhythm with a faster car :(

  • lol same, but I've managed to get to 2:18.

Not bad, but there are a hell of a lotbetter times!

  • wow.. the only reason I beat it was because i used the "respawn where you die" cheat

  • Dude, rush was the shit man.

    This is intense.

  • @bartzis I know. The game was the coolest racing game there was, until brunout then it was the thing of thr past.

  • is this 2 players? if so then i want it on vc ^^

  • The obstacle course isn't... although that would be awesome if it were! Only things you can do in multiplayer are races, stunt tracks, and battle (obviously)

  • Apparently some assholes bought the rights for this game, so it will never be released on VC :(

  • VC?

  • I wish.

  • I wish they would remake this game along with the first two, not like L.A. Rush but like Rush 4 or something... like the originals but with all of the original tracks, cars and physics but with better graphics and GUI..

  • There's been some issue with Atari and Midway lately, so it's far from happening.

But since atari's been making some real shit burgers for the Wii, It might happen...

  • man, I hope so, they really made a mistake with that L.A. rush, people know about SF:Rush, Rush2 and 2049 but not L.A.

If they don't wise up, I don't know, if I get good at programming then I'll make it.

  • this should've been remade for ds

  • oh my god this game was the shit, btw nice job makin that map?? i wish they woulda made a rush 2049 for the 360, i would buy thata game in a heartbeat!

  • google project64 and rush 2049 rom (because you have the n64 and rush 2049 for the n64)

    have fun :)

  • How you get that?

  • If you mean the game itself, I actually plugged in my old N64 to my computer and just captured it directly... I didn't think my graphics card at the time could handle an emulator and screen capture software at the same time. Plus I bet it would be very hard to play this track with the keyboard, since I don't have any good PC game controllers.

  • Gotta say, I always loved the stunt/obstacle theme.

  • thats hard

  • Ha i saw it...second try...short before the end,you were crashin'...but this part of the track fucked me up,too...

  • nice how do you save your games?

mine cant save i have a memery card but idk how to save

  • Should save automatically whenver you finish a circuit race or collect coins or anything. You have to have a profile though, cant do just the "quick race" or whatever.

  • HEY! i HAD the same problem! my game never EVER saved either, ontill, one day when i dicide to play it again, its starts to save it, i know how you feel

  • I'm soo confused after the arrows of doom

  • Yeah as far as I'm concerned thats the hardest part of the level :(

  • Wow. When I finished it I only had like 5 seconds left. The very end is SO hard. The Obstacle Course is sweet tho.

  • Man, I still can't jump that god damn lava pit.

  • I beat this a few times on the Dreamcast.

    Its tricky as hell, though.

  • wats that car

  • I used the 8-Ball car, although thats with virtually no unlockable equipment, so the time could be a lot faster. I accidently formatted my memory card before this video and never did re-earn all the cars and parts.

  • the attempted sequel to this sucked. they should just go back to the basics

  • That's what I hear, haven't played it myself... sucks because it was such a good series of games, ahead of their time. I played Rush 2 religiously. Got every single key, mountain dew can, and won first on every circuit.

  • like nowdays TrackMania

  • i liked rush 2 better only because the cheat codes were hella easy

  • yah just push buttons

  • The Cheat Codes were awesome! Just mash the controller over and over until the cheat unlocked. Best games ever (for their time).

  • Back in the day this was the best racing game hands down

  • WOW I was never able to pass the part at the end where you had to flip upside down inside the loops. This game was the shizz.

  • Its anything but easy...never did pass it. I hope they remake it the way its suppose to be now with the new graphical campabilities...I wonder what the theme should be this time....not like LA rush I hope :)

    Good job man

    2049 RUSH for LIFE!!!

  • Wow. I was never able to beat that...

  • my gosh I never played this game But, I wish I had played it I loved Rush 1 an 2 though

  • Yeah Rush 1 was cool, and Rush 2 was one of my favorites... I loved finding the Mountain Dew cans and the stunt course. I grew to like Rush 2049 more though, a lot more to it. I wanted to try L.A. Rush for PS2, but I didn't hear good things.

  • this game is so great!!

  • hahahahahaha at the end he blows up... lol

  • The best part is when he makes a perfect run but at the finish crashes at the ledge!

  • i like the multiplayer, its fun battling around with other people. Stunts is also good.

  • ahhh ths game good times good times

  • HOLY CRAP, i have this game and have been playing it for so long i can get a better score than that but still man it took me forever, years in fact to even get as good as u are, btw this is the best game ever created

  • Why yes, Yes it is!

  • pretty cool....

  • i have to post a video response showing how i mess up on the same 3 spots 10 times in each run

  • Dude! That huge jump with the lava, How did you do that at a high speed? Every time I do that I hit the wall above the opening. And how do you get inbeteen those narrow walls. I hit those all the time. Help me!

  • oh good gravy!!!!!!

  • good job dude

  • The dreamcast version of this game (better version) is now on the Gamecube!! Its on the compilation MIDWAY ARCADE TREASURES 3. Go buy that shit.

  • You can't customize the color of your of your car! Its still fun though.

  • um N64 is really the only way to go f the gamecube

  • Nice. This game is absolutely amazing. One of the best multiplayer games ever created, I swear... and single player :)

  • Damm...good run dude!!!

  • Wow, I've tried so many times and then he does it in one go -_-

  • Hey I finally did it! It took me almost 3 minutes but thanks to you and the tips that were shown on the video I did it =D

  • how do you get the obstacle course it looks fun

  • If I'm not mistaken, you must earn 1 million cumulative points in stunt mode.

  • Oh my god...this is AMAZING!! I can't even get through this course, let alone pass it in 2:06...

  • wow!

  • that took me at least 50 treis to get to the finish with even 5 seocnds left, one time i ran out of time, and landed inches from the finsih line. i cant belive he didnt make any mistakes, i crash on every thing

  • Pssh, that's nothing! I could beat the whole thing on my first try!

No way, I'm just kidding. I could never do something like that on my first try. That must've took a heck of a lot of practice!

  • you are god.

  • WOOOOAW your paint pawn

  • howd u get obstacle course mode, i dont have that on my n64

  • as I said above, you have to accumulate 1,000,000 points in stunt mode.

  • Nice job, but a couple things: 1st, you could have used one of the side ramps so as not to stop before obstacle #2; inconvenient, yes, but not impossible. 2nd, you can go ahead and use faster equipment. Sure you could go too fast for some of the jumps and stuff, but you're not obligated to always accelerate the whole time. Just adjust speed when required. So 1:47 certainly is possible, but I can't blame you for wanting to see video proof. So go have a look at my obstacle run. (1:43.118)

  • Wow. Nice. That was pretty fast. I am a huge fan of that game myself.

  • the n64 verson sounds way different from the dc i still play this a very fun game=)

  • The sound effects and voice clips are exactly the same as the DC version. The soundtrack? Yes, it's mostly different.

  • I like the N64 version better than the DC version soundtrack on the Obstacle Course... although I haven't heard any of the other tracks from the DC version... I may go buy it. Also kinda weird how its called "Gauntlet" in the DC version

  • Sorry, repiled to the wrong comment when I said "at least the tracks do have names in the DC version". But I also like the N64 version better.

  • Well this soundtrack is in the DC version, too, but it's used only on the 1st Stunt track. Where the N64 version uses this same tune for the obstacle course and for 3 of the 4 stunt tracks, the DC has different tunes for each (by default of course) since it has more soundtracks to go around.

I made mp3s of both versions' entire soundtrack. Send me a message if you'd like the link.

  • But both versions have quite a few exclusive music tracks. The menu music in the N64 version is not in the DC version, for example, and vice versa.

  • BTW, mamahaha, the N64 version plays the "Stunted" music track in just 2 of the Stunt tracks. In Stunt track 3 and 4, the music that plays is "Flier". But you're right about the DC version having a different tune for each.

  • I would actually! That would be awesome

  • alright, ill try to get a video camera from someone and record it. i doubt i can get 1:47 again, but ill try and at least get close.

  • nice, you must be pretty good

  • impressive, but my record is an amazing 0:00 seconds, no lie, drrrrrr dee drrrrr

  • HA HA HA! I actually l-o-l'ed on that one, which was awkward because I am in the middle of class.

  • impressive, but my record is an amazing 1:47, no lie.

  • I don't see how that is possible, I had my car set at what I found to be the max acceleration and top speed to make all the jumps without slowing down. You would have to have a car much faster than my current car, but then you would be going far too fast to make half the jumps! I could see shaving 10 or 15 seconds off of my time, but no more. I would like to see video of this 1:47 you claim to have, or at least a video of beating my time. If you can't provide proof, I say you sir, are a liar
