They should have made this in lefty. Us leftys have such a small selection to pick from overall, I would kill to get an acoustic and electric hybrid for the price of one of these! Great songwriting tool too considering how much you can accomplish with just one guitar. Also adds a huge bit of character to your typical acoustic gig.
This guitar is $749, But Ibanez will be discontinuing them at the end of the year. So if you want a deal on one, let me know before then and I can hook you up.
You could use and electric amp with this (like theoretically you can use an electric amp with any acoustic), but in order to get the best sound out of it you should use an acoustic amp or some type of PA.
Does this guitar feel more like an electric guitar (like a Taylor T5 or Ovation VXT) or like an acoustic guitar when you play it ? Cause I don't like it playing with an acoustic guitar, strings are too hard and you can't play stuff like solos with bend... Are the strings electric or acoustic guitar strings ?
It has acoustic strings on it, so it does feel more like an acoustic than an electric in my opinion. Of course, you could always string it with a lighter gauge string. Technically Ibanez classifies it under their electrics.
nvm didnt start vid when asked that xD

can you also put a multi-effect pedal or another effect pedal between the guitar and the amp? or doesn't that work?

@jelle4214 Yes, you can do that.

cool. what's the weight?

@MADEINMAIDEN
Depends on the model (various woods will have different weights), but it basically weighs about the same as a typical semi-hollow electric.

@MountainRockMusic OK, thanx. Will check them out. Just got the Ibanez Newsletter 2day.

Obviously I'm not much of a guitar player, but hopefully you get the idea. Come in and try it for yourself! ~Cal

@MountainRockMusic (I'm TP2P, lost my password, stupid me)
The problem is that I'm used to Electric 8-38 strings, so even light acoustic string would feel to hard to play... Guess I'll take the T5 or VXT
