its not called feeling its called heart and only real guitarists have it the rest are just chumps pretending they can play you cant hear heart can only be felt thats the difference between masters and chumps
@jazbo52 slash plays just like jimmy your dam right influenced for sure even moves his fingers like jimmy slash is no slouch let me tell you one of the best out there
@ledzepguitarcovers yes. of course. my reference was made regarding the Les Paul which jimmy was famous for playing and so is slash-no doubt influenced by the great jimmy page. no way around it.
Plant is the only vocalist I know of who could have possibly kept up with Page's guitar playing. Shame on Plant's critics for not recognizing and respecting this.
4 the record as well, Bonhams' son Jason is an admirable replacement 4 his dad and i think Zep is BACK now...2nd chance again i suppose. Also, John Paul Jones IS the thread that holds the band together musically too...
I agree. Saw Page and JPJ sit in with Foo Fighters. You don't realize what a monster bass player he is - relentless..as much rhythmic force as the drums, if not more. And then he plays a pretty mean organ too. A great musician who doesn't get enough attention.
Michael Lee DID have that similar feeling (if not the solid whack) of Bonham, he was a brilliant drummer...probably born into the wrong generation...would have been more appreciated back in the bad old days of the '70's...
Creme de la Cream - fro..m love..ur................alllll...russia...ve!! LZ FOREVER, long time well find somerthing sssssssssimilar and kindoffffffffffff fr st.petersburg
the solo is so damn amazing! page is the only one who plays with soo much feeling and fast at once. today everybody wants to play fast and even faster than fast but wheres the feeling????and to be honest playing tons of notes in a sec doesnt sound good!
That so called 'terrible drummer' that this guy/girl below me stated was the one and only Michael Lee. He was one of the BEST rock drummers in the business so I really don't know what the f'k your talking about? He has since passed away as well. RIP Michael Lee. You knew how to kick in the skins and made a lot of us really happy at the same time. You gave your heart and soul into every performance as did Bonzo as well.
Thanks for the great video of SIBLY. It hit th spot tonight,
Anybody who thinks that Lee was a "terrrible" drummer is clueless. maybe not as good as Bonham, but who is? Anyhoo, Pagey owns that intro solo. Peace.
If you listen to the way Plant uses his vocals here, you can clearly here a trace of 1980 Robert in his voice. He HAS THE CAPABILITIES still to pull out those vocals. He doesn't though. Why? Only he truly knows that. He knows that if he does people will start to push them in a full blown reunion direction. Just listen to rock and roll or Whole lotta Love from this show.
more than critiziin´ He learnt me how to perceive the music as a whole, not only care about own individual reputation but care mostly about the people and joy around. That´s ALL WHAT THE LIFE IS ABOUT, and I decided to never stop it. Michael Lee is purest being to me, can´t never forget his unforgettable work (hidden and inner) work, which is although far far deeper than any outer material experience
That's actually a really good performance, it's just hard to tell because you can't hear that clearly. One thing I like a lot about this song live is that they change it up and do it differently every time, even on the same tour.
TRUE that ! Whoa. His performance kind of blew me away just now..for a '96 show. He's was right down with it that night. Damn. Pagey is totally wicked too. I don't know why the dewd that posted this says it's not that great ? This was a pretty bad ass rendition! (the drummer dewd really picked it up as the song progressed)
Wow Page and Plant on MTV? I thought they only got on it 2 times once with Unledded and once at Monsters of Rock where they did Wearing and Tearing....nice to see MTV did put these ledgends on one more time. Now they probably couldnt fit em in between all the Ferfie,LiLMama, and all the other not musicians they have on there.
fantastic vocal

Yes, sharrer2, you are correct, but the antidote for such depression is........get the Led out and listen to more Led Zeppelin! LOL works for me :D

This isnt led zeppelin.
Its only 1/2 of led zeppelin.
and this 1/2 is 5 times as good as anything today.
