@Robertahausen actually no, it's the makeup. She is wearing theatrical makeup which makes the skin look smooth and even. All the lights are doing is iluminating them. And since the gels that were used in the lanterns were a dark blue with the frontlights using an open white, it creates more shadows.

I've seen alot of good singing videos here on youtube. A while ago I discovered Whitney Houston singing "I will always love you" at an awards show in the 80s or 90s and it was the best vocal performance I've ever heard.

Susan just BLEW that out of the park. By far the best performance I've ever heard. Her voice has gotten better, if that was even possible, with all the singing she's been doing lately. This shows so much emotion. It's aweeesome!

Amazing. Susan has realy improved! And I just love this combo with the London cast - they're absolutely phenomenal live. I just saw Les Mis live for the first time a few days ago in London and I was blown away - the singing, the acting, their ability to convey such a large range of emotions - absolutely incredible.

I don't get it...Her voice isn't that great. She is pitchy and runs out of breath during phrases. The only reason she is famous is because she isn't attractive and surprised everyone. It bothers me for people who study music and are more talented who can't make it, but Susan Boyle can.
