You can use a small 5 to 10 hp efficient engine to run a compressor and yet have 500 hp in reserve in the tanks like a battery for on demand.... Because the air motor on uses what it needs, there is no waste. University of Wisconsin or Michigan did this back in the late 80's, early 90's. Awesome concept but too simple and a major game changer for corporations that are built on the current model. I would love to build one....

Here is a stupid question??? The exhaust is air, could they recirculate the exhaust into the air tank? Its pressurized going in, it should hold some pressure coming out(exhaust), put that back in to the tank so its renewed and you dont have to stop and refuel? Just a thought! I am going to do as much research as I can!

Indian Tata Motor has brought the patent from French. So probably you can expect the car in India or in Europe first.

Indian TATA motors has also brought the Jaguar and Rover from British.
