I totally agree with uuu I'm like a freak when it comes to shots lol! ( btw I'm not the girl in the vid )

  • Kay that girl thats filming I'd like to just kick her bitchy ass

  • The nurse and the jerks behind the camera need an ass kicking

  • give her a break alot of people are afraid of shots. some people are just better at dealing with it than others. although by that age most people do have a coping mechanism. i usually turn away from the doctor grab my phone and blast a really loud rock and roll song into my ears. ignore the shot means your ignoring the pain.

  • I would have fucking roundhouse kicked that immature douche holding the camera. He sounds like he would cry like a bitch if he got a shot. Pissed me off so much.

  • How DARE the nurse tease her and call her a baby? WTF? That's just pathetic, nurses are meant to HELP people, not make them feel like shit.

  • @DistortedCookie So you think being like 18 and deathly afraid of needles is normal?

  • @dontfeedthemilkshake It's called a phobia. Phobias are not meant to be logical. Do you think being like 18 and being deathly afraid of spiders or snakes or heights is any more normal or whatever?

I never said it was normal, I just said that the nurse is not there to make her feel shamed for her phobia, she's there to HELP patients. There are all sorts of phobias out there, many are not logical, but that doesn't mean phobics deserve less respect than any other human being.

  • @DistortedCookie If it was just her friends that were calling her a baby and stuff, I'd just think they were meanish friends and not the most mature people, not necessarily bad people though; but the nurse is a PROFESSIONAL. She has a job, and that doesn't include insulting/teasing emotionally distressed patients.

  • @dontfeedthemilkshake let me answer that question with is question, what is NORMAL? there are several different ways to look at this 1.) she had a bad experience as a child (improper technique, tunnel vision [lead on by stress], perhaps the antagonistic approach by her friend [real mature], 2.)has an over-heightened central nervous system. 3.)perceptual issues[also a result of stress], 4.)etc maybe i am looking at this wrong Constructive Criticism is Welcome Flaming is not

  • When I had to get a blood test, I had to have two doctors and my dad hold me down, with the arm my injection was going in too tied to the table. I was sitting there screaming and crying. If any one out there afraid of needles like me would understand this. My mom said I need to grow up it's not a big deal. But you really cant just forget, it's a phobia!!

  • @MegaPointlessFilms really? i kept telling the doctor to keep away from me with that needle . lol i even tried to bite him once.didnt help that i was alone either. yikes O-O

  • @darkvixenkillu1 yea, it was the only way they could get blood without me hurting someone. O.O I had to get blood drawn for surgery, and i was more afraid of getting the blood drawn and the IV's than the actual surgery!!

  • @MegaPointlessFilms same with me had to have 8 teeth pulled in one day when i was 18. i wasn't worried about the pulling at all because once they stick the iv in your are OUT. lol there was a picture of a hot air ballon infront of me when they stuck me. and maaan it turned into thousands of little balloons hehehe. XD

  • those "friends" are such dicks =_='

  • its gonna be ok jack!

  • HAPPYPLACEHAPPYPLACEHAPPYPLACEHAPPYPLACEHAPPYPLACE! NEEEEEEEEEEEDLE!!!! god i hate needles XD

  • Come on, every one has fears, some are stupider. Like how people dont care if someone is afraid of clowns, but if someone is afraid of needles? how is this wrong?

  • @AtNiite Haha so true! Clowns don't normally touch you or come near you, yet people accept that "phobia" (I know some people exaggerate the fear or call it a phobia when they really only find clowns a little creepy), whereas a trypanophobics fear something that actually hurts (even if only a little) and/or causes feinting in some people, and others insult trypanophobics? At least injection/injury/blood phobias and trypanophobia are evolved responses to risks to one's life...

  • @DistortedCookie By that I mean: when we were still subject to natural selection and proper evolution, injury or something sharp jabbing you meant possible infection and subsequent death. Especially if there was blood (as in blood-phobics). Just like a fear of heights/falling is logical, so is the fear of needles or feinting (as in trypanophobia), because our instincts don't consider the fact that we live in a developed society with proper medical procedures.

  • i also have a fear of needles, and really that nurse should of calmed her down and make her feel a bit safe and not just say oh its gonna hurt, and the girl behind the camera, that is just not nice.I remember when i had to take a test and a old hag nurse forced me to watch as she was giving me the shot,it made me feel even worse,so when we had another shot next year i had an even bigger phobia....And to all people who laugh at this, its not funny.Imagine somebody laughting at your phobias.

  • @Scraby999 the nurse was acting like a bitch, no two ways about it. also agree with you on phobias, everyone has at least one. so yeah ill bet you would all just love for someone to laugh at you when your freaking out.so have your pals grab a camera and record you then you can post it on youtube and we can all laugh at you guys too. give the girl a damn break!

  • @Scraby999 i used to have a fear of needles but then i had to get my blood drawn every three months because i got a kidney transplant and its for life,so i got used to it.

  • I understand her completely. I still cry hysterically and someone still has to hold me down to get a shot.

  • Bitches.

  • I laughed my ass off

  • i really hate needles but i mean sometimes bloodtests have to be done so whatever just look away . it only takes like 5 secnds

  • atleast she could not be a heroin addict. actually yes she could, but she would have to do freebase, anyway #whitegirlproblems

  • Omg this girl is so much like me, I had to get that same Menactra shot for meningitis and after the girl finished doing it shes like "was that so bad?" and i said "YES, it was". hahaha, wasn't letting her think that she won :)

  • I have that phobia

  • @BellaLuvsPoodles actually according to psychology, you don't technically have a diagnosable phobia unless you spend most of your time worrying about getting a shot. So, technically, if u only think about it when u have to get a shot, this is still "normal" :)

  • @theaterqueen95 I think about it all the time :I I have nightmares about it. I'm so scared of needles

  • Get a cortisone shot under the knee and then come talk to me...

  • i have trympophobia

  • I used to have a tiny bit fear of needles! Until I got really sick and have to get tons of needles!

  • the girl filimg has a broad voice... makes me think she might be fat as heck or ugly.

  • Wow, the girl filming is such a bitch.

  • Next week I have to get my HPV (cervical cancer) vaccine and I'm so scared :/ does anyone know how to get it? Cause im not actually scared of the needle I'm scared that its really going to hurt :/

  • @FendiGreen It is not that bad, the needle pinches and it burns a bit when they inject the vaccine but it is not bad

  • @FendiGreen i had my first 1 it felt like a scratch when it went in but it just aches afterwards but only 4 a couple of days! x

  • I have had fear of needles for long as I can remember. In my childhood my mother was a hypochondriac and took me to the doctor many times. I must have had numerous injections at that time but I have blocked out all memory of that. In the last 31 years I have only had a blood draw twice. Once at age 14 and at age 19. I do not know how I went through it at that time. Now at age 45 I could not imagine having my blood drawn. I understand this is irrational. I do not know how to overcome this fear.

  • @mef2u2 me too! I stopped the video halfway through. I'm too scared to watch the rest.

  • I have this phobia. My school told me the I was going to get suspended until further notice if I didn't get these two vaccines. I'm so afraid of needles that I was fully prepared to drop out of school.. I'm a straight A student.

  • I would have done a spinning back kick in the taunting girls face.

  • Oh man that is so like me Highschool time so shots all around now that I see wat it looks like and how quick it is I think I can take like the first few shots then I'll probably say " god not another one " like I always do but this time I hope I don't cry and go " wait wait wait hold on " (like I always do) :(

  • I recently got a HPD shot or something, and i started hsaking, but i wanst so scared, but the girl before me was crying, which is why i got so nervous xD

  • The only reason i have a fear of needles is because when I was little i had blood work done and it was too much blood taken and i passed out in the hallway and hit my head on fire extinguisher..... Another reason i passed out that day.... Is becuase i was afriad of getting sick as a child and i thought using the restroom would make me sick (i feel stupid xD) and i would go 7 days without using the restroom which made me not want to eat which made me under weight..... And this problem with needl

  • once i went to the doctors to get a shot and flipped and knocked the doctor out and he accidentally punched me in the face. I hate getting shots now because I feel like the government needs to be more careful.

  • LOL out of nowhere she just says "i want burger king"

  • i can handle any shot except the blood test. i hate getting shots on that part of my arm

  • I can't fucking stand needles.

  • Good Lord I can totally identify. *shudder*

This is pretty much my OWN reaction, except with more attempted bargaining with the doctor.

  • she need new friends that aren't mean

  • She seems like more of a drama queen than trypanophobic.

  • I have to get my blood drawn in 2 days and I'm already nervous... When I see needles I panic, I don't know why, but I'm already scared and crying... I wish I wasn't scared. My parents think I'm rediculous, but they don't understand.

  • lolo, lololololol i couldnt help but laugh sorry.

  • Comment removed

  • when i went to get a blood test i was really scared i was maybe 8 so then the nurse came in and dug the needle right into my bone scraping it after she calmed me down and said shed be carful then when it was done i was relived but THEN she said she MISSED (dumb bitch) and had to put it in my other arm! then i started whimpering and she started laughing and saying there were little girls tougher then me i wil NEVER go there again and to this day i still and will always (prob) have Trypanophobia!!

  • Im pretty sure I have this, when I was 5 or 6 it took an intire staff of doctors and nurses to hold me down just to get my blood drawn

  • im pretty good with needles but i got used to them just got back from rabies shot they suck XD

  • wow yall friends creep af !

  • I have Trypanophobia too but it is mild. I would shiver pretty bad and mumble when the doctor talks to me.

  • Woooow....I'm worse then that ....last shot I ran away screaming and they got me andhad to like....lock me to the seat

  • dayum gurllllll, can i getcho numba ;)

  • Wow. Anyone who would seriously act like the people behind the camera did need to be kicked in the face.

  • @dizzysmilex i totally agree with ya man. I gots the heeby jeebies when it comes to needles

  • She should move overseas! get tons of good injections

  • im a needle phob too! i know exactly how she feels!!!!!!!! you get anxiety attacks wen ur near the needles or u know ur getting a shot. it sucks!!!!!!

  • Thats just like me.

  • That sounds like Jennelle from teen mom 2...

  • Comment removed

  • @scotchsappho you're a lesbian bitch.

  • I am 15 and I got Trypanophobia after having an asthma and anxiety attack at the same time. I had to got to the hospital and they injected me/ draw blood approx 30 times. I counted every single time, from then on Trypanophobia is what i gained :/

  • @SweetartHearts you're being a little bitch, get over it.

  • Comment removed

  • @VelvetSynclaire what is your problem? im being a bitch by telling a true story. by having the doctors look at you worry when your heartbeat is raising near 300. having them inject you over and over, not knowing what to do. if you think im being bitch, your the one who thinks it is proper to comment on a post from 2 wks ago. what is your issue? and btw you should not be calling people bitches w/out knowing how old they are. i could report u for cyber bullying. so next time think before you act.

  • @SweetartHearts you could report me? go ahead, the "cyber police" can't do a thing. ha. grow up little girl and learn how to deal with trolls, bitch.

  • @VelvetSynclaire i cant do a thing? are you sure,i cant many things. im just not a rude person. i never said i was a "little girl" i said "you should not be calling people bitches w/out knowing how old they are." i never once said i am little. i understand your trying to get some reputation and finding ways to boost your personality by calling people bitches. but hunny it dont bother me. bitch is a dog. and if im a dog. then bark, bark. you honestly think by calling people bitches will help u?

  • @VelvetSynclaire dude your an asshole!

  • @hank1972 i know >.<

  • i have 24,, and this phobia makes me wanna puke and almost faint, in fact i puked once but and it was my father the one who got the shot not me

    i hate this shi*

  • Fuck that. I have trypanophobia. I broke my doctors jaw when I was 13 because he gave me a tetanus shot. This is a real phobia. I'm a 21 year old man, and I freak out like a little girl when it comes to syringes. I fear them more than anything else in this world.

  • I have tryponophobia too, it's horrible. When I went to get the vaccine for the swine flu I was in the backseat of my mum's car just crying and hyperventilating. When they were going to give me the shot all I could do was cry and they had to force me to sit still and pull my shirt sleeve up. This phobia is not something to make fun of.

  • I am the SAME exact way... Except I faint when I see then cleaning my arm + prepping me. I have absolutely NO problem at all with poking MYSELF with a needle, but when it is someone else handling it I freak out :p

  • WOW.

    She needs new friends.

  • pause and press 2

  • "go to a happy place... if you tense up it's gonna hurt" ha

  • Well. At least she wont do Heroine....

  • TB shot I take it? I have trypanophobia and had to have one recently for a new job. I employ the looking away with my eyes closed and trying to clear my mind technique.

  • I sometimes cry bcs i am afriad of shots.....

its not funny at all =\ i sometimes want my mom to stay next to me and im 15 but idc

though, im so terrified of a shot i just wanna run=n and not come back...

  • I have this and Trypophobia, it fucking sucks. Not something to joke about.

  • I have a needle phobia, but its not of having one put into me (i dont like it and i look away and get nervous coz i got deep veins and they have to try several times)....mine is me having to use needles on patients. Im a nurse.....

  • would have rather seen her get her physical

  • OMG!!! I HAVE TRYPANOPHOBIA TOO!!!

  • this bitch needs to shut up... needles suck so shut up bitch.... and kid who said oo that hurt your a ass

  • aw man i'm a lot worse. i got like 4 shots today and i started crying and holding my mom. i totally feel your pain.

  • I have trypanophobia too, I HATE NEEDLES SOMUCH !!!

  • I have the same fear.

  • When I had a blood test I had numbing cream, my dad to hold one arm, a nurse to hold the other arm down while the doctor took blood and I had laughing gas. im covering my arms just thinking about it, its the worst feeling ever. I stayed in hospital 4 extra days once because I couldnt leave untill they got a blood sample. These people are so mean to her

  • I HATE it when people are like oh it doesn't hurt. It's not even the pain that I'm afraid of, it's the needle.

  • wow they are so inconsiderate

  • so thats what i look like when i'm getting an needle..

  • i am scared shitless of needles once a nurse tried to give me a shot and i kicked the wind out of her and ran out of the clinic

  • 2:00

" well. It doesnt hurt that bad"

then why dont you get one..

  • Comment removed

  • @pinky09punk HAHAHA

  • How could they make fun of her like that?! It's a terrible feeling! She was so brave and all they did was mock her! Speaking from experience the mockery just makes you feel more alienated and terrible than you did before.

  • you are braver than me. I had one nurse just to hold me down while the other did the job... still i went crazy

  • The Videographer should be exposed to HER fear and see how brave she is.

  • that doctor and her parents are mean

  • just saying, Menactra KILLS afterwards. i had a hard time lifting my arm up for a few days, and i usually dont have issues with shots, it just HURT really bad.

  • I am way worse about it, I actually ran away crying from the room once. :(

  • @zoeybo Me too I hate it I just wish the fear would go away...and I have to go to get about 6 shots next week and I begged my mom to ask the doctor if they could put me to sleep for it...she said no and I think I might acutally die of fear...

  • @mazecraze96 yeah getting blood drawn doesnt really hurt at all. neither do IVs.. the only injections that hurt are the ones that r in my legs. but even when blood gets drawn.. its kinda like wooaahhh, idk this person and they're comming at me with a needle!! lollz

  • lol! the worst part is the anticipation rather than actually getting it! When they rub your arm with the cottom bud thats the worse. then after its done nice and quick you feel like a complete dick!

  • i have a fear of needles can any1 help

i am spazing out just watching my arms hurt even rite now

  • Oops I accidently posted that twice

  • When I got the first needle I was actually aware of when I was five it took three people to hold me down and then a fourth person gave me the shot

  • My mom said when I had my first shot that I was actually aware I was getting I was 5 and it took 3 nurses to hold me down and then a fourth nurse gave me the shot

  • omg, those girls videotaping it are being total bitches... im sorry, but they are...

i feel for the girl in this video cus i have SEVERE trypanophobia and i have surgery tomorrow...

i KNOW needles dont hurt, and giving blood isnt terrrible, but oh my god, stop taunting her. it's a phobia. an irrational fear. meaning the person experiencing the phobia is unable to see the situation rationally. meaning they cannot control what they are afraid of. a PHOBIA is an EXTREME irrational FEAR.

  • @sarahupp how did the surgery go?

  • @MINIMI95020 it went ok. haha thanks. haha. im all better now =]

  • @sarahupp drawing blood doesn't hurt at all, I even have trypanophobia, they just stick a needle in your vein, it hurts for the split second its punctured, now vaccines hurt cause they inject it into the muscle, the muscle has the most nerves

  • This really is a stupid phobia. But that's the thing about phobias, you can know that your fear is stupid, but it still overwhelms you. Two key words about phobias: STUPID and POWERFUL.

And Granny isn't helping. Mocking someone with a phobia is like mocking someone with clinical depression because they won't cheer up.

  • This? Is nothing.. When i see a needle i either throw up, or pass out. This is just crying - poor girl i know. it's sad, and that nurse? Omg, i would totally fire her 'i can't believe how big a baby you are' aint going to help! Neither do 'it's not going too hurt'. I personal don't care if it hurts, or if i'm looking like a baby, its the needle i can't stand, and i CAN see that i am pathetic, so it's not gonna help to say 'your a baby' cause 'we' can see what 'we' are doing.

  • First of all, she's a terrible Nurse. If I was her Employer, she'd be written up and on the receiving end of the reading of a riot act. If she was an Intern, I'd find it very hard to give her a passing grade. She shouldn't be in this line of work. Too bad the young Girl didn't deck her or her Friend the Camera Lady.

  • THATS NAFFIN MY GRANNY HAD TO GET A NEEDLE IN HER EYE !

  • dumb move on the nurses part making her stand for it...she is lucky she didn't pass out and end up with her head split open. Don't worry girl, I understand your pain completely. <3

  • Verry nice nurse. Waiting so long to punch her hand!! I never got any nurses like her.

  • I don't have trypanophobia, but I don't like needles.

I think it's because they usually inject it close to the wrist, and I'm kinda sensitive about the wrist. If they just stuck it in my shoulder or stomach or whatever then I wouldnt care. As much. But I can do it just fine anyway.

  • Mean bitches...

  • Trypanophobia = stupid because i have it and most don't hurt but i still bloody run and run out of breath and sweat.I'v had the most painfull injection 4 times in my big toe because of in growing toe nails which caused this trypanophobia!!!i have to be gassed.

  • im really hating the girls behind the camera.......i have extreme associative trypanophobia and seriouisly its worse than hers, but i still feel awful because i know what she is going through. to the ppl recording- she is not freaking because it hurts, its because of the needle itself. so lay off damnit

  • i hate my life hahahahah

  • Those other girls were dipshits for taunting her like that, If I was the nurse I woulda ushered them out.

That was a good nurse though, actually TRYING to help her calm down and relax and being kind.

  • @blipbo I heartily agree with you, blipbo. The nurse was sensational and the kids recording this desperately need to be educated about trypanophobia.

  • whoever's filming this is annoying as hell

  • bloody hell, i have trypanophobia and i'm not that bad, i just faint, i don't like needles but i try not to make a fuss about it, actually, i had a blood test earlier today and i did the same thing....but laughing at trypanophobia isn't a wise idea as your blood pressure drops and it must shock people when the face goes pale

  • lol "I hate my life". ^_^

  • lmao "I HATE MY LIFE!!!"

  • this is me! i swearrr.. last week, i passed out after taking a mandatory tb test.

  • my heart is racing at the thought of this :/

  • I hear Trypanophobia runs in their family... i bet the fat kid behind the camera kicks and screams like a little girl when he has to get a shot LoL. The doctors have to get people to hold him down

  • OMG i feel your pain!

  • I know I suffer the same thing, I have it too!! you are not alone I couldn't watch all of this

  • the nurse is being like to make u less scare.. Some reason ppl are scare are bcoz they fear the capability of the person giving the jab. The nurse talking and acting like that towards the patient makes the patient feel safe and content hopefully the patient is able to get thru is without fear... Is alright to have a little fear of the needle but you need to get over it...

  • @sillypig00419 thats not the way to deal with it. you don't say "I can't believe you're making such a big deal out of this." All that does is make the phobic feel worse.

  • what if u were in her place and the nurse is quiet and she herself is nervous about herself giving the jab to the patient? Doesn it make yourself feel insecure? and even more phobic towards the jab? plus, the nurse juz might be able to distract the patient by laughing together with her.

  • @sillypig00419 nah i would rather have a funny nurse, but if it was a real phobia ( looking back at it, it seemed like she was just nervous, not phobic), then i'd want a mellow nurse. not really serious but not teasing either.

  • ya same thought at the vid too... but overall getting shots are still part of daily health routine that's if ur parents or u yourself feel comfortable taking it. Some ppl don't really like having shots especially with those news on youtube that some shots could actually cause serious side effects..

  • @sillypig00419 yea, i hate how the media makes everyone so phobic about everything..

  • OMG I feel for her!

I have really bad Trypanophobia I couldn't even watch the whole of this I was cying at the thought.

  • that nurse is so nice .. i wish we had nurses like that i have a jab on monday HPV jab:'(

  • @EMILY683 trypanophobia is a fear of injections...and that wasnt funny at all. many people including myself have it and pass out at the thought of a needle

  • Do you have any advice on the fear of needles?

  • LOL!!! 47:00!!

  • i have this too. i belive lol.

  • ohhh I thought it was tyranaphobia, like the fear of t-rex. silly me.

  • I pretended to be brave. Then I got brave. Then I got shots by the dozen for 2 years. Now they are annoying. But I suppose thats a whole different story with Trypanophobia

  • That nurse makes me mad, people laugh because they dont understand trypanophobia. Its not funny, i always puke after i get a shot, its a very real fear, it takes over your life.

  • thas horrible :( i understand. youre alot better than i am. do you have any tips?

  • all u have to do is force yourself to believe it's not really that bad, it sounds crazy but it always worked for me

  • People are so rude they should not be making fun of her because it just makes it worse for someone to get over their fear! I have fainted before because I got 4 shots and it is not fun! it is not like i chose to be afraid of them I just can't help it. It is called a PHOBIA because it is something that needs therapy for!

  • her face is purple. :( poor girl.

  • i have trypanophobia when i was six i had to get six shots a day and an iv in my foot and in my arm i almost broke my nail off scratching the wood off the wall . im serious

  • I have trypanophobia, too. It's not fun. And it's so not cool how they're acting about it. When you have trypanophobia, you can't really help the panic. I had to get six shots all at once one time and the nurse wasn't sure she was going to be able to because I was literally having a panic attack. I was shaking and hyperventilating. Trypanophobia is not fun to live with.

  • omg they are making fun of her and recording the whole thing. that's mean...

  • I am scared of needles too. Do you have any advice
