  • what song is that? its good haha.

  • hmm. I've never seen a bi-plane quite like the one at 0:12, very interesting...

  • Are there any other similar fly-ins anywhere near this area? I live in NW Arkansas and would love to attend one.

  • @ljackso, I don't know of anything that comes close ... maybe others will comment. That said, there used to be a "Gathering of Eagles" in Gardner KS (WWI and vintage) Also any of the local EAA fly-ins are worth a try. -good luck.

  • Thanks I appreciate the information. I am hoping to get to Oshkosh this year. I have never been and I have always dreamed of going since I was a child.

  • @ljackso ....if you all haven't heard....the biplane flyin has been saved....and will be held in Junction City Kansas beginning on June 4....so if you're trully interested just google "bi-plane flyin" and you will find the entire website full of all the info for flying into Junction City and all you need to know about activitys, camping, events schedule etc etc....it should be a great fly-in.....come one come all.....!!!!

  • 2:09 holy carp i took the same picture just like that this year at the flyin!!! it's the same plane and about the same height of the ground!! o.o

  • Yak, Yak, Yak, Yak ... 52. ; )

  • We live 2 miles west of this in the hills and cannot tell you how much fun and educational this event is. We are going to miss it so much after this final year. Even at home we can see them flying formations over head. They say it's because the entusiasts are getting older and the youth do not care. Sad indeed.

  • It's not necessarily that we don't care as much as it is the cost to play the game. These days it's pretty expensive to rent a simple Cessna 152 much less a bi-plane if you can even find one that you can take up solo (good luck).

  • Nicely done. Sadly, June 2009 will be the final biplane expo at Bartlesville. Soon, videos like this may be the only place left to see those graceful machines gathered...

  • PLEASE, say it isn't so .... !!!!

  • @RDWit

  • @RDWit ... thank you, R.

  • I liked the Piper, Waco and Stearman. Nice clip!

  • "wonder woman" is cute

  • Outstanding review of a recent annual Bartlesville OK Biplane Fly-in held in early June every year. There are always excellent examples of these planes and some rides are offered. This is an event worth attending! The video is made from a series of stills - well done, especially the accompanying soundtrack.
