@MsDisneyObsessed It's complicated. They might do the silver chair but there are rumours that they (if they make another Narnia movie at all) might do Magician's nephew instead. Personally, I'm rooting for Silver chair next, cuz I want to see who they pick to play Jill and I don't want them to have to re-cast Eustace since Will did such a great job in dawn treader.

@lovetolovefairytales I love Silver chair, but it would be amazing if they did magicians nephew next, you know the beginning of Narnia and stuff :) But yes, Silver Chair should probably be next. They did an awesome job on Voyage Dawn treader so they should do a good job on Silver Chair ( if they make it ).

@MsDisneyObsessed no, they're actually making the magician's nephew first. they wont have to recast Eustace seeing as though in the movies they ignore the actor's age. In the first movie

I liked this preview of the BBC's Silver Chair. Really nice with the narration and scenes, although I wish the video were clearer.

The silver chair is the second best book out of the seven. My most favorite would probablly be the horse and his boy. I expected the last battle to be better, but it's still good!

I loved the Silver Chair of the BBC Version and recently got the DVD of it for Christmas. I love the BBC Classics but also enjoy the Disney films. I hope Silver Chair will be remade again.

I second that. The Disney versions are undoughtably a cinematic masterpiece with great special effects, good casting and a beautiful soundtrack- but the BBC version, whilst perhaps lacking good special effects' very much had a certain charm to them like no other series. The intro was like a dream and the characters amicable. One of my best childhood memories.

Partially, but its also the fact that although she is English, she has a certain exotic look about her. I may be wrong, but C.S. Lewis could have had the Middle East in his mind when he wrote Horse and his Boy- there seem to be some parallels with the description of clothes and so on. I also hope it gets made into a film.

I liked The Silver Chair least way back in 1990 but it has grown on me. Certainly the most mature of the adaptations - so dark! And Richard Henders as Rilian is excellent!

They actually plan on making ALL Narnia books into movies. Already The Silver Chair has appeared on the Internet Movie Database as being released in 2011, but of course that could change.

This series is from 1990 and the girl playing Jill Pole later played a teacher on Waterloo Road so she is 30+ now

Oh, I love The Silver Chair! I think it's my 3rd favorite in the Narnia series. My favorite is The Last Battle, though. And my 2nd fave would have to be The Horse and His Boy. :)
