  • Thank you for posting this. When I was a child we used to listen, on a Sunday evening, to the radio with my father. It was the only evening he spent at home with us. I'm afraid we rather dreaded the hour when "from the Palm Court of The Grand Hotel" was on, as we daren't move or speak. It's only in later life that I have appreciated classical music of all sorts. Whenever I hear the name Arthur Kaleleby, it takes me straight back to those far off evenings.

  • @honeybabe68 You're lucky your father led you to classic music because there are many many beautiful selections that are a joy to listen to. Ketelbey is one of many who has composed beautiful music. I ask you to please explore our channels where you'll find all the beautiful classic music in the world.

Thanks for sharing your experience and warm regards from Malta.

  • Absolutely stunning. I love the music and the paintings are wonderful. Norman Rockwell would be proud.

  • @freddodaw Thank you. Nice music deserved nice photos. Regards from Malta.

  • amazing, too much detail for my taste. I prefer a much looser style, like robert hagan. Still very beautiful paintings though.

  • @ArtWithRob Hagan's are good but I also like detailed paintings. Thanks for your comment - replying from another channel of ours

  • ketèlbey was inspired and moved, one silent evening when he was somewhere in GOZO,MALTA and all of a sudden he heard the bells of Ta Pinu church ring.He was so moved that he composed here, where he was stationed as a musician.A tribute to Gozitan bells. The original manuscript of Bells Across the Meadows,as written down by Ketèlbey himself of course,is still kept in the musical archives at the Aurora Opera House Gozo. For more details you can click the website leone.org.mt/pages/teatru.asp

  • I bought a single record 45rpm in 1964 containing 4 master pieces of Ketelbey , one of them was "THE SANCTUARY OF THE HEART". Since I convert it in 1969 into a cassette player, for the continuos use for about 30 years I finish for lose; now I was looking to recover this music but unsucesfull until now, so I thanks you very much for you to post here. all there is wonderfull and the paintings superbe.

  • Magnificent!!! Ketelbey must have been at Peace with himself, his God, and all the world. My mother used to sing "In a Monastery Garden" to us, when we

were growing up in Newfoundland, many years ago. "Bells across the Meadowa" is also one of my favourites. Thanks for posting.
