HA HA!!! Well you get the special prize for finding a mistake!!! I looked at the PDF file and sure nuff - I screwed up and omitted it!!! Not by choice but rather by mistake... HA HA!!! That gives me a great excuse for rebuilding it!!! Bill

Thanks for the question! It is a neat design by the K'nex people! THey have extra tension on the rod connecting the armature. This causes it to get ahead of the motor and appears to jerk! I do love my K'nex and this one is a super model!!! Be Well... Bill

I also made this and isn't their supposed to be a purple pole hanging on the nose.and if so did you take it off. Because it gets in the way?
