I really want to get this very soon. i was wondering if it worked on the original ds because ive only seen videos of people using it on the ds lite. cheers

Yes it is a very capable little app. What impressed me is that it not only does all the things I hoped it would (& then some) but it does them so well. And all in such a fluid & intuitive interface. The programmers have done such a good job. It's hard to find fault. It's brilliant.
I thought myself that HLD could be 'hold' but I didn't understand what was being held! What you say makes sense. But we can't check against the manual as it's all in Japanese.

Whichever value (SMT or HLD) you set on the Kaos pad screen also appears on the Kaos pages in the sequencer, where the value cannot be changed. So clearly it's got something to do with the relationship between the Kaos pad & the Kaos X/Y pages of the synth seq pages. Might help if I could figure out what SMT & HLD mean!
Thankyou! Finally a good video that really shows off the capabilities of the DS10. I was excited when they first announced this software but then after the early videos I kind of got the 'take it or leave it' attitude. Now I'm really keen to get it. Looks pretty powerful.
It is quite powerful & I was really surprised by the quality of the sound - I've got it hooked up to my mixer & have it blasting out of my Fostex monitors. Sounds pretty damn good to be honest. Great fun to use as well & clearly the interface has been very well thought out. I'm really impressed with the DS-10.

Yep you can. The drum edit section uses the same synth engine as the other main synthesizer parts. But there is no release time on the Envelope Generator. Don't forget as well that you can of course program drum/percussion sounds using the 2 synthesizers. So in effect you can have a 6 part drum track. That would be great when you have 2 DS's synced up together. Can't wait to try that (got a second copy of DS-10 on the way now ;-)
Making music can be as easy as playing Picross! :)

What happened to DS10 Plus?! It sort of came & went wihout much fanfare. Can't seem to gt it anywhere other than US sellers on fee-bay!!
