I was in Elementary school waiting for class to begin and after a few minutes of class, teachers started calling each other and going to each others rooms. One of my teachers broke down before they even turned on the news. Then sometime after, while watching the news, we saw the second tower hit then the first tower fall. I was to young to know what was happening but doesnt mean I have forgotten
I was 11 when it happened. I woke up early in the morning, and didn't find out until the towers collapsed. I saw the fallen towers on TV, and my grandfather told me that a couple buildings fell down. My mom also miscarried her pregnancy at that time. I just sat down and cried before leaving for school.
I've always felt the United States' response to the devastating events of September 11th should have been peaceful and reflective of our humanity. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I created a video and posted in on my channel to honor those who lost their lives that morning and in the wars that followed. Peace is possible, but it has to start somewhere.
I was taking my son to elementary school, wondering if I should leave him there or not. The school is a block away from our Federal Center, so I was greatly concerned! I eventually did and went back home. I sat in front of the TV, crying and stunned, until I picked my son up, 6 hours later.
I was in the process of hooking up a new surround sound system to my television and had it disconnected while I worked. When I finished and turned it on to test the sound, there was the video of the second plane striking the tower. I spent the rest of the day just sitting there stunned.
9/11/2011...My thoughts are for the victims of European terror all over the planet...May one day the North American ecosystems be free from the European scourge that has cause every one of its water systems to be under some form of observation for pollution. May God save us from the terror and the horror that has engulfed the planet since 1492
@VLoLa9119 I saw yesterday that the European settlers in North America try to frame the demon creatures in the World Unfair Trade Centre who exploited poor farmers in Kenya to provide them cheap coffee as innocent victims of terror. And the creatures in the Pentagon who order crackheads to bomb people with Depleted Uranium and Agent Orange on your behave as innocent victims... But the Babies born suffering the most horrific malformities know who the real terrorists are.
Due to wrking rotating shifts, I have struggled to get normal sleep. I was sleeping, & the hse phone rang like 10 times in a row. I thought it was a bill collector wanting a payment. So I rolled over & ignored the phone. Then a few minutes later it was ringing again; & again I didn't get up to answer. Then it started ringing again. Then I knew something was up. I answer & my husband says, "are you watching the tv?" I said, "no, I was sleeping." He says, turn on the tv. There I sat, for hours.
At work. Was watching the first building on fire thinking that the plane was really way off course. Seen the second one hit & I thought I would throw up. We live in Pittsburgh & found out that there was another plane in the air near us. Flight 93. It was horrible to see and remember. My heart goes out to everyone effected by this. What hero's we had that day. I will never forget the way I felt that day. God Bless America!!!!
i was 11 years old together with my sis 19 we were visiting my cousin in nyc because of her wedding on 9/13
she worked on south tower in ther 99floor on this day she wants to show us where she was working
but we slept too long
as the first plane hit the tower we where at the trinity church two streets before the WTCwe stand there shocked and also seen the second plane hit the south tower.have what would been when we where puntual.
my cousin lost her boyfriend who worked on north87
I am from Europe, I was 10 years old .. it was 2:30 p.m in europe when the first plane hit the wtc. I turned the tv on and was shocked by the pictures, my mom came home 5 minutes later and was shocked too. My grandparents were in nyc that day, and my aunt is living in northern california, so my mum called my aunt and she told her, that she had spoken to my grandparents and that they are okay. Nearly everyone knows where he/she have been on september 11th , even in europe.
in 6th grade, teachers didnt say anything about it just got released early and remeber sitting at home with my aunt and cousin watching tv in shock and awe. Joining the Navy next May.
My grandmother was getting a CATscan that morning and they had to give her the medication that makes you go to sleep (because she is claustrophobic), when she woke, the nurse told her everything. Could you imagine going to sleep that morning and waking up to find out the horror of the day and how much the world had changed in an hour?
I remember that day very well, it's actually the only day I remember from my preschool year....school was closed for a week, and I lived in NC!!! I can't believe it has been ten years, it only feels like yesterday...
I was 9 years old. I was an hour late to school because no one else was home and I lived near my school. I remember walking through the field by my school and just noticing how quiet and beautiful the day was. At the time of the first building's collapse, I had a strange pain in my stomach. I almost just laid down in the field and cried from the pain. By the time I got to school, I remember my teacher didn't seem to care that I was an hour late.
@SubmissiveJayden I overheard my teacher talking to another teacher. I heard him ask if he should tell us what was going on. The school decided to keep quiet about it because of our ages. When I got home, My mom and brother were both watching the news. My mom was crying. When I asked what was going on, my brother told me that a plane crashed into the building. At my age, I just assumed that it was an accident. It took a while to realize that it was intentional. I still/ always remember that day!
My cousin birth day is is on 9/11 he said that he hates how he deals happy that he turns a year older but sad because thousands dieed that day he was not alive at the time but he gets what happens and I was driving to the store with my mom my brother was in school I was only 2 and my town had a naval bad near ther we would look up and see f18s flying over because the niece of gwb went to a private school in the area very scary that's the only day I remember before 4
I was home from school that day sick. I was 15 and my mom called me from work to tell me to turn on the tv. My mamaw came over to be with me and we watched it all together. I was in disbelief, astonished, and terrified all together. Then I understood why they call it terrorism. What an awful thing that happened to our country that day. We will never be the same, and we will never forget.
I was ib the second grade, with my friend whose dad was a firefighter... he's now gone.. she was devastated.... but he feud doing wat he loved saving lives at the cost if his own RIP to one of the few people who give me hope humanity isn't all bad
Im from Kansas. I was 8 when this happend. At that age i had no clue what was going on. I went home to find my mom crying and i asked to change the channel. I thought it was a movie on tv. If i would've understood what was happening, i would have cried with her. Now that im older, and i understand what happend, i feel i have to make up for wanting to change the channel, thats why i joined the Army. My deepest sympathy to those who lost someone special that day. God Bless America
I was in a small Wisconsin town the day this happened. In the fear of that moment in time. I remember a lot of people that day were openly carrying firearms because they feared it was a decoy attack for a invasion. I very much doubted that but was still glad a marlin lever action with me. I felt so angry I just wanted to catch a plane and go over and shoot some middle easterners. Damn glad I didn't, since it was all part of the scheme of the New World Order people anyway.
It is hard to believe that it will now be 10 years this Sept. I had just woke up that morning and went down stairs to have my Dad ask if I had seen the footage. I watched in disbeliefe, horror, and frightened. I then had to explane to my daughter who was 4 best as I could what was going on,she asked "why would anyone do this" I didn' totally know how to answer. I am sad now to know our country lost some innocents that day and our children will not have the same innocents we had.
I remember it like it was yesterday: i remember being picked up from preschool by my dad (i was four at the time) we drove home in silence i didn't even get the teddy grams that i usually got when i was picked up we walked through the front door and my dad put the TV on right to the news and all i saw was a plane crashing into a big building i remember asking my dad what happened and he keeled down and said some very mean people were flying the plane into the building and i stared in horror
Maybe I already responded...I don't think so. I was 41...slept in. Got up and the TV was on...I walked down the stairs to the little landing......and there it was. A jet plowing into a building. I thought it was a movie promo. Then, I realized it wasn't. I dropped to my knees. Honestly, I dropped to my knees. And bawled like a baby.
I was at Logan Airport that day. I put my brother, sister in law, and nephew/god son on flight. I should been on that flight but decided to stay on one more day to see a friend that I serve in vietnam with. Ihad place all the family I had on united flight 175. And will live with that guilt for rest of my life.
@hockeygeorge1 my word...thats awful..even though i was not a direct victim of the attack, i am still called by God to share the pain of my fellow Americans
I was a Junior in High School and I was late to school so I'd first heard about it from my boyfriend who was still laying in bed as I was getting ready. He'd heard it on the radio. He said "A plane crashed into a building, the Twin Towers" and I didn't know what they were so I just thought it was just a plane crash. But when I got to school and saw the news and everyone silent or crying, I realized what had happened and I was terrified, angry, and deeply saddened...
I was in 5th grade at my Western Pennsylvania school. My teacher got a phone call. I can still remember to this day the look of terror on her face. My principle came on the loud speaker a little bit later. He was crying and trying to explain to us what had happened. I think everyone's parents picked their kids up at school that day...
First period of school, Junior ROTC and my science teacher (married to my ROTC instructor) runs in and crys "he's gone! he's gone!" Then later that day when we heard what happened and word spread fast I started to cry, I looked over at a fellow ROTC classmate and he said with a tear falling from his eye "now I know what she meant." Every class for the rest of the day was just students and teachers praying and crying together.
Oh and on more thing no matter how bad this was dont show any fear or weakness because the GD terrorists were trying to break our spirits the best we can do is be strong
I was in preschool crying with my mom who was a teacher and as the song goes...its good to have somebody to love in times like this. then i vowed to serve in the marines and im already in a young ROTC i spent all the time thinking about this
i remember it clearly i was in the fourth grade my class was taking a history lesson when my teacher was called out the room and told us we were going to watch the news. she turned on the tv and the first tower was burning. . . it didnt hit me right away but after a few seconds the whole class was in shock and my best friend was crying becuz his grandfather was on the first plane. we turned it off when he finally collected himself enough to tell us. that was six days before my birthday.
I remember it vividly. It scared me. I was in second grade we were talking about world war two. I raised my hand to ask my teacher if there was going to be a world war 3 and if I could fight in it, just as my teacher begaan to answer the teacher next door bared in crying and told my teacher to turn on the t.v now. Everyone was sad. Once the news ended my teacher turned off the t.v and said "Does that answer your question?" I was so confused.
The most telling sign of America's decline is the fact that the organization responsible for 9/11 still exists nearly a decade after the attacks! America has truly lost its way!
I was at my police department in PA in a radio class. It was interupted with a phone call and immediately the TV was turned on....just in time to see the South Tower hit. As a reservist, I left and immediately went to the base in my military uniform. I was there before 11a.m. and didn't leave until after midnight. I felt numb and angry and wanted revenge. I deployed to Kuwait in 2002 and Iraq in 2006. My oldest daughter deployed twice. I still want revenge and I WILL NEVER FORGET 9/11.
Wow.... i remember this i was in 2nd grade and when i found out i didnt know what was going on... it was so emotioal in the office (school hadent started yet) and all i remember was the secretary getting a phone call from one of her freinds ssaying that there was a terriost attack and they flew air planes into the twon towers my 1st thougth was whats going on i dont remember it that well but i do kow every september 11th we talk about it in school and take a moment of silence for all that died.
it was night at that time in my country at the time when i saw the bad news it was the 1st terror attack i saw and i clearly remember i was unable to sleep at that night
I was 4 and i just remember comming into the family room and my family was just sitting there staring and crying. All i knew was that something bad had happened but i didn't understand it. RIP everyone that died that day.
i get goose bumps just watching this and when we watched a vid at school about 9\11 i was crying it's just hard to believe there are ppl out in this world we live in who act like that i love every one who has given there life for us, the ppl who where killed in 9\11, the army
I was 7, my uncle was uncle was there that day! My Big bro went off after that happend and joined the army, he died 2008! Was bombed by a kid.... didnt wanna hear bout it..... so i cried and cried!!! im my moms last boy, but im in ROTC because i wanna join the Air Force......
I wish good luck to my bro's friends that r still over!!!!
@chuchorup1 I thought you weren't allowed to go into the Military if you're the only remaining son? I don't know, I suppose I got that all from "Saving Private Ryan"?
But God Bless you and I am so so so sorry for your Uncle and Brother, may they rest in peace.
when this happened i was 8 years old. my little brother was only a couple weeks old. my mom turned on the news before i went to school and saw what was happening. she stayed home that day and kept us home because she didnt know if it was going to happen all over the US. she cried and held us both close and wouldnt let us go. i didnt really understand but my mom thought this was the last time she would ever be with us again. everytime i think about it i still cry. it was the worst day ever.
i was only 6 when it happened. i know i was young but im still ashamed that i cant remember how felt or what i was doing during such an important time. i ashamed be cause the people that died diserve that tiny kindness and a hellova lot more.
I was 13 years old when i heard what happend. I was sitting in my art class when all the classrooms were instructed to stop doing everything. It was a terrifying day for everyone and many of my teachers, friends, and classmates lost loved ones. Although that was an awful day, nothing is more terrifying to me than when i have to watch the ones i love leave for war and pray that they are safe.
I wish all of our troops good luck and hope for a safe and heartfelt return home.
I was 9 years old, and was in elementary school( 5th grade). All my teachers were crying but i was too young to understand. Im in the Military now and fully understand and am reminded of why i serve in the United States Military today.
I was 4 years old, and at daycare. I didn't quite understand what was going on. But my dad called my mom at work and said," Your not gonna believe this........" It really hit hard. Especially that my uncle was suppposed to meet some buissness men there. The only reason he wasnt was that his alarm clock didn't go off. So I am truly thankful God saved him. One things for sure the terrorists pissed off one hell of a nation. & We will never forget what happend.
I Was Getting Ready For School,, Grade 3 ... We Never Turn The Tv On In The Morning But For Some Strange Reason My Mom Turned It On And We Saw What Was Happening ... Being Born In The US,, It Really Hit The Family Hard ... <3.
I was 12 years old. I was sitting in a classroom, when we found out it was a potential threat, they sent all the students home in my district. All my friends were talking about if we were going to die or not. Our teacher was strong religious person. She gathered her students before we left and we all prayed, some of the kids were crying because they were scared. Who wouldn't be? Now America sits back and hides while Muslims build Mosque on Ground-Zero as an insult. This Nation truly has Forgottn
i was rly little but i still remember tht day i was in school and my whole family thought we lost a family member cuz she wouldnt answer her fone it scared us terribly...
I was in my 5th grade class, we where going over math homework; one of the teachers from across the hall came running in with tears streaming down her face... I was terrified and angry and wanted more than anything to hug all the ones that lost someone important to them... I am now apart of the USAF and I refuse to allow this to happen again, I will fight for America and I will stop all terrorist!!! That is my oath and I WILL uphold it.. GOD bless America!!!
@airforce01231991 Your oath to some corporate criminals who run your country! You'd better start thinking, since you people became economic slaves and you only care about consuming in a corporate croft managed by your officials.
The war on terror is here for the elite to ensure they will get more grip and gain more control over their own people. Don't you see that?
Other than that I respect you! It is only time for you to wake up before it is to late.
I was in 5th grade in staten island. I didnt find out what was happening until every kid in my class was pulled out of school. My dad was a police officer and mom a teacher so i couldnt be taken out of school until almost 4pm. I would here rumors from friends who also had parents that were in the FDNY or NYPD like the empire state building blew up orwe were being invaded.
I was living in Las Vegas. I was in bed with our 3 yr old. My husband woke me up to watch the news. I was dumbfounded. I had been through evacuations and IRA bombings in London. But this was a whole new level.
I felt useless. All I could do was watch the news and up date my husband at work with what was happening. I was worried because I knew that day would change the world for ever. Now our son would grow never knowing peace.
My husband and I were on vacation in Europe. We left September 7. We were in Germany having lunch. Another American that was at the table next to ours was on his cell phone and I heard him say "they blew up the White House?" when he got off the phone he told us we needed to find a television, that a plane had hit one of the towers. We found a tv and a young German man translated for us what had happened, then we saw the first tower collapse. It didn't seem real. My daughter was in the military
i was 2 years old takeing a nap and now i'm 11 and i was in socal studes and my teacher wans talking and now i cryed but i keep queit so my mom wouldnt hear but i have 1 thing to say....I HOPE THOSE FRICKIN GUYS GO TO HELL FOR WHAT THAY DONE!!!!! >.< T.T
the day before was my 9th birthday. i got a nintendo 64 and my dad was trying to set it up in the living room when my papaw called and told us to turn on the tv. we watched the 2nd plane fly into the building. :(
I was in the 6th grade in my science class and our teacher had the news on and told us all to be quiet and as i looked up at the tv, that's when i saw the 2nd plane hit the south tower. Not long after that my parents pulled my sister and i out of school because no one knew what was happening. That day the tv was never turned off and at the end of that day there was nothing but silence every where i went.
I just put my 11 month old son down for his morning nap, turned on the tv news and watched the 2nd plane crash into the tower. It took me a few minutes to really get a grip on what had happened. I will never, ever forget that morning.
@ScruffyWillBiteYou You act like that's so wrong. -.- It's not like he could REALLY do anything. He's just one person. And he needs PERMISSION from Congress to do things too, like say, I don't know, declare war on a country where we wiped out a really, REALLY bad man.
I remember exactly where I was when it happened, I was in my Algebra 1 class my freshman year of high school in Emporia, Kansas. We didn't have TVs in our classrooms that we could watch the news on, but they came on over the schools intercom and told us what had happened, giving us updates throughout the day. The classes had always been rather quiet, but that day it was unnaturally so. Whatever talking was done, the attacks were the topic of discussion, with no exceptions except for class.
I was at work in my restaurant in Nashville, Tn. My wife called me and said to go to my office and turn on the TV. I saw the second plane crash into the towers on the screen behind Dan Rather as he reported the news. The rest of the day, TVs were on and blaring the news as a shocked and stunned crowd of guests came and went...dining and watching with very little discussion... The whole day had a very eerie feeling like everyone had just been to a funeral...
I was in the first grade, we had to watch the entire thing
My ninth grade year, I had to write a report on 9/11. I interviewed one lady, Inza, from my church. She was a flight attendant and had been flying from Manhattan to Pennsylvania. She was right near the towards and watched the second plane crash. She was telling me how everyone on the plane saw the other plane and the smoke from the first tower and they all moved to one side of the plane to watch. She quit her job that day.
was 13 years old in middle school and they didnt tell us till the end of the day around 1ish what had happened. they only came over the loud speaker saying that there were to be no tvs truned on
i was only 11 years old and i was in class when my teacher got a phone call..she started to cry turned on the tv and ran out the room...she knew someone in the building...we changed the channel to the news and we all stood there shocked..a different teacher came in and sat with us as we watched....i will never forget this day...BECAUSE of 9/11 my cousin joined the marines..it upset me and in 2006 he was killed... I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS DAY
I was in school in computer class, the teacher came in and turned on the news on the tv we all watched it, right before the second plane flew into the second tower, it was horrible to see. im far out of school now but i still remember and will never forget.
I'n not disrespecting America or people who lost there lives, but...I don't like the way people say "The wolrd stopped turning" I didn't...Most countrys continued as normal...it was a tragady but...still.
I'm not sure where I was when this did happend. I think I was at school. I found out of this by watching CNN which we did alot back then. This episode of the world history will never be forgotten, nor will the heros. When I found out about this, it was heartbreaking how some people could do this to to innoncent people. I remember ever since that episode, there has been alot of different things I've joined here in Norway. Memory crousing for the heros and the people who died, silent moments etc.
I was sitting in my 2nd grade classroom, my teacher got called down to the office, came back crying, we were young and all she said was that there was a plane crash, we all thought it was a crash at the local airport. Parents came and took most of the kids of my small private school class home. I was confused as to why my friends were being taken out of school when there was only a small plane crash. I got home and saw the footage, i didnt know what it was but i knew it was really bad
I was scared and cried because my parents were crying. I was in 2nd grade but will always remember exactly what happened, it is sad to know that kids even 1 year younger than i am probably dont remember what happened at all.
We need to tell our younger siblings and kids younger than us where we were when the world stopped turning, it is important.
Continued. the other thing that i still remember, and i actually remember the most was the baltimore sun the next day. The headlines and photo just stick with me. i had gone up the twin towers for the first time 17 days before it fell. with much reluctance too, i always went up the empire state whenever we went to NYC which was every year. now i wish i oculd go up WTC one more time.
2nd grade in my school in howard county, between Baltimore and D.C. 40 mins from d.c. 30 from baltimore. my teacher cried and told us. we went home and my dad had tears in his eyes. my sis just stared at the t.v. My mom ended up in canada b/c her flight was grounded in toronto. i saw the second plane hit. we had the next day off b/c we were close to d.c. That day i never felt so much sadness and despair. the image still in my head was this firefighter coming out caring one of his fallen friends.
i was in class in first grade in Northern Texas when the planes hit. My teachers were crying and I didn't understand what was going on until the next year. We had a moment of silence in school the next day about the same time the towers were hit.
Hotel room, Midtown Manhattan, on vacation to visit a good friend from Sep. 9-14, went to lobby and saw people crowded around TV, then went to make sure my friend who lived in the lower east side(i think thats it) then was okay. We watched those towers collapse and it was just raw pain.
I was 12, i lived back in Ecuador then. but even when we are not Americans. everybody in my town went to church to pray for those that were gone and prayed for those that were alive. So God will give them strength to face with courage that horrible tragedy. In that moment i understood that even when The 9/11 will always be remembered by Americans as a nightmare. But it will also be remembered for the Union and compassion that we all felt around the world for the tragedy of innocent people.
my name is norma and i was back in puerto rico on my 8th grade class when they told us about the wtc the first thing that i did was i started to panic for my great uncle on moms side of the familly use to walk and even enter the towers sometimes he would go early i whent to the bathroom of the school and started to vomit at the thought of my great uncle dying or getting hurt but god stopped him by him not feeling like going on that day thanks for choosing this song i love it
I was in my second grade class room and the principal came over the intercom and told the teachers to turn on the tv. i started crying the time the second plane hit the towers.
i was in second grade, minnesota, and thetwo teachers in my room turned the tv on they started crying. we were to young to really understand what had happened and when me and my sister got home my mom told us we were going to see our family in florida. she was shaking really badly and just hugged us for a while. i think seeing the adults like that was the scariest thing for kids at the time.
I was sitting in my 6th grade Language Arts class when someone said "The World Trade Centers were hit today" being so young I thought the World Trade Centers were in China. I was scared when someone say New York and I thought that that was too close. I was in The woodlands, TX at the time and people started saying Houston was next because of the oil and gas stuff there. I will; never forget that day... I will always know where I was.... As most people will
i was 6 or 7 i was sitting on my great grandmothers floor watching tv with her and it went straight to the towers being struck i was to young to really know what was going on but she was crying her eyes out.
Iwas in second grade and getting ready to leave to go to the bus stop when my brother and i saw the news. We didn't really understand what was happening until we ran and got are mom. I remember that day very well, and each year have a moment of silence for the lives lost on that tragic day.
I was in 4th grade when 9/11 happened... I remember seeing all the teachers crying during the attack... I also remeber my math teacher turning on the Television and we all sat on the floor and watched the towers fall... That day has changed the people who were living to see what was going on...
i was in my first grade class taking a test. the told us to stop and we diddnt know why. then our teacher told us that the twin towers were under attack and we all went home. ive never seen more cars and busses at my school or outside my street. we who were kids diddnt understand anything, but when we looked at the news and saw our parents reaction we all knew what was going on.
I was at daycare, and I had walked in and everyone was crying.. We the children didn't know why until they called all of our parents to come get us and that's when I heard about it. I was sad becuz my aunt was in the pentagon and I didn't know if she was okay or not.. We got a call later that night saying she had died. We prayed ALL day and ALL night. I'll never forget that tragic day
I was 4 I was in preschool at my old church. My teachers had heard about it, and for the next week, every day before class, we prayed for all of them. We prayed that God would help them. I was always wondering why everyone was so sad though. Even at four I had different ideals than everyone else my age. While my class was sad.
I was one and all i remember is my family crying and holding everyone tight. I remember seeing it on the news and i had nightmares since then. Still I have nightmares. But what has happened has made everyone stronger it may have hit us hard but look at us now we are more protected to our country and family. And doing this we protect our freedom more.
I was in my fifth grade class, i dont remember much about it besides that, and i didnt understand the magnitude of it all. I watch this and think about that day and it brings a tear to my eye. Its the reason im here in korea right now waiting for my time to deploy and bring justice, Hooah?
I was 7, and had just finished getting ready for school, and my dad called me into the living room with my brother and pointed to the TV and told my brother that when he gets older he's going to tell his kids that "he was 10 years old when the twin towers fell".
i was 9 when i was told, i was in school in florida. now i live in new york. at age 8 i didnt really know what to think. but now that im older i understand completely...
I was at home getting ready for school when my sister came in and told me and my mom to turn on the t.v . ... I had to go to school but i felt like cryin cause i saw somebody jummping off :( ..anyways during that time my mom was pregnat of my lil brother when i got out of school i found out that alot of ppl died that day but i was happy (not cause of that )but because my lil brother was born that day...but all i really have to say is GOD BLESS AMERICA n THE PLL WHO WERE THERE THAT DAY
I was an International Tour Director for five years, had taken year off from the road. Was working from home for the tour company supervising hundreds of tour directors. My mother called me (she always was a pain, calling all time), told me to turn on TV. Husband was on computer, didn't know what I was crying about...he had gotten his Perm. Residency day before, Sept 10th..no idea what THE TOWERS have been attacked meant. Lost five friends on plane hit North Tower. I will never forget. PEACE...
I was with the FDNY, and had just started my shift that day. A few months prior I was assigned to a station on Manhattan upper east side, then transferred to lower Manhattan, guess it was meant to be.
I was in science when my teacer runs in the room screaming that there was an terroist attack! My mom was in the building and she survived it! Me and my dad went and got my mom from the big attack! I cryed about it!
I was in 8th grade, sitting in math class. I was shocked, and definitely didn't realize exactly what had happened until I got home that afternoon. It didn't effect me so much then, and I think it was I was too young to fully comprehend what was happening. In the last 4 years since I've been in college though, I think I've cried and been effected even more.
I was in second grade, in the principles office for throwing an eraser at the back of some girl's head. I saw it on the tv they had on and then the second plane hit. The principle freaked out and sent me back to class with no punishment. At lunch I went home because I lived right across the street from my school. I turned on the tv to find out that it was an attack and not just an accident. The rest of my family got home about four. We stayed inside the rest of the night and prayed.
Yea never ever never forget in fact it's alredy in my history book lol. I no already said this but personally I think that the group that believed their god told them to do must be mental or absalutly insaine. Idiots. Never forget!!!!!
I am not very old but, I was at home with my mother, brother, and sister and my father was at work. He was in NYC at that time about to go in and rescue people risking their lives. I do appreciate everything with September 11, 2001 and trust me there is a lot to know but, this is one thing I will never forget.
I was on my way to school when the first plane hit. My mom called to tell my dad about it. Seventh grade. I remember no one knew it was an attack until the second plane. Then it turned into something else.
Like this to America after all what have we done to those dumb terriosts anyway??? At least sadom who sain Is dead. My english teacher called him sadom who is insane. Now If we could find benloden. Ps have u forgotton by darryl worrly is a good song it's bout 9-11 Also.
i was in second grade i remember the princpal macking an anoncemet and observe a moment of silence and i lost an uncle in the attack he was in the north tower on the floor that the plane hit
i don't remember where i was when this happened........but i m really sad for this........ and really pity all those who planned such a violent, disastrous and shameful act...... such bad minds... isn't it..???
R.I.P to all who died.... may god bless their families, friends and their souls.....
I was in my 8th grade class when my teacher got a call from her friend who was near the towers saying 2 planes them. then parents came to pick up kids earlier than normal some of them still had debris from the buildings on them. My mom picked my up we had to take detours roads were blocked off downtown Manhattan was filled with smoke and strangers were hugging and crying together, I will NEVER EVER forget that day
i was on my way to school really late though i was 6 almost 7 i was in second grade i remember police officer say you cant go this way because a plane full of terrorists flew into the world trade center and i heard and i got out of the car and started running toward it and i saw some guy run out with his bleeding and 2 weeks later my parents moved me and my brother to montana
i was 5. i got out of bed and my mom was folding laundrey and i sat down and watched the news with her. there was a bright blue sky i remember and 2 towers and a whitish plane just go through the building. i remember it like it was just yesterday. i just heard this song on the radio and i heard it a ton of times but i JUST noticed it was about 9-11. i know... wow... i JUST noticed.
i was in first grade we sat there and watched it on a tv it was the sadest day of my life and it still is and anyone who serves this country u should b proued of them i know i am god blass teh usa
I was in either 5th or 6th grade..we were in p.e. and at my lil country school i was goin to we had p.e. down the hill from the middle school at the elementary. our p.e. teacher/driver got a call when we got off the bus. we went back to the middle school. And went into my english teachers class n watched the planes crash into the towers on the tv.i was scared..i was shaking.@ that age. I am now a proud member of Army National Guard proud to serve my country damn proud when i put that uniform on
I was in high school and taking a standardized test called ISTEP. I remember one teacher coming in and talking to the one who was proctoring and they both looked terrified. When we got out to go to class the TVs were all on and I saw what was happening. I didn't know it was in America. Eventually everything came to light. There was no learning that day in my school we all just talked and cried and worried.
I was in about 1st or 2nd grade and I had just got to school because i was late and when i went into the office with my mom she saw what was going on and took me right back home. All i remember is that everyone was freeking out about it and i didnt know why.
I was visiting my ex sister in law with my mom and i had just returned from walking to my niece to kindergarten and turned the tv and called to my mother to say the WTC was on fire when the second plane hit
so sad i was only 4 years and my parents started busting out crying i had no clue what they were crying about this year i saw it in school teachers started to fall down in the halls started crying RIP for the loved and the lost
I was in 4th grade. The teacher next door came in and turned the tv on and we saw the tower on fire. Then they turn it off and told us to color for the rest of the day. I really found out when my mom pick me up from school instead of daycare and held on to me for dear life.
i was in the fourth or fifth grade and we was watching the news for an assignment when they showed the towers being hit by the planes...it was sad to watch it unfold.....my grandfather was going through NYC at the time on his way home to Florida and he saw it and called us to tell us....thank god he was on the other side of NYC....it was 12 days before my b-day......RIP everyone who died on that day
I was still asleep. My sister called and told me to turn on the tv. The South Tower had already collapsed by then, and I kept telling her she was making it up. Then they showed it again, and the North Tower fell. I sat down on the floor and cried. I remember thinking "God, all those people".
i was in school when this happened and didn't hear about it til i got home that night i spent the rest of the night watching the attacks on tv over and over
I was 10 years old going on 11 in grade 6. I remember coming in from recess at school and everyone was crowded in the hall. One of my best friends tapped me on the shoulder and said to me the World Trade Center fell. I never believed any thing my classmates told me but when I got home that day, my sister was in tears and my mom was holding her. As soon as I saw the TV and those horrible images, I became outraged. That night we all slept in my parents bed. RIP to the loved and lost.
My dad was on a business trip and I remember hearing from one of my best friends that he lost someone that day. I may be Canadian, but I went to New York that summer and stood in the same plaza and was amazed at the landmark that stood before me. A friend went up the Towers though. She said it was amazing.
i was 3 and i was at home and my dad was watching the news as normal and when he heard it on the news i remember he grabbed me and hugged me really really tight and he yelled for my mom to come into the room and my dad started to cry and so did my mom it was the only time i have seen my dad ever cry i remember crying because everyone else was crying and i cry every time i hear this song or the #'s 9/11 RIP to all the people who died in 9/11 including my best friends dad .................... :(
I was in fifth fourth grade and a announcement came across the intercom for the teachers to turn on the tvs in the classrooms and the whole school saw as the second plane crashed
i was in the 7th grade i heard from a friend of mine i laughed i was thinking he was joking. i prayed hard that whole day my aunt and uncle where flying that day i was hoping they were ok. i will never forget that day never ever. i get cold when ever i c those pics.
GOD BLESS THE USA and the men and women protecting us
i'd be british. im not nationalist, however i dont really love any country. I dont look at people as "americans" or "british". just human beings. I found this song off a southpark episode :P. But listening to this guys voice and watching this video a few times made me sob i have to admit. im 16 now, i would of bein about 8 when this happened, i did not understand why this was on every channel, and didnt take any notice. If i understood like i did now i would of had a more sorrowful attitude x
I was living in roseville Minnesota. I was working at Arby's. I remeber talking to customers about the attacks. Our manager was trying to get us to stay there. But I went home and called my mom and we talked for a while. i told How much I love her. I was very sad that day and also very angry. I thought why and how could soeone be so cruel as to do this to America. I just hope one day they catch him. God Bless NY, The Pentagon and those who gave theier lives on Flight 93. May god Bless you.
i was in third grade, my mom watched it on the news, and rushed to meh school to get meh and my bros, i thought "OMG, i can't believe that just friekin happened." and i dropped to my knees to pray.
I was home with my mom. I was 4. She was talking to her brother and then she started yelling a plane hit them. I didn't know what she meant. We went and sat on her bed and prayed. She called her brother again about 5 minutes before they went down and I remember her yelling and sobbing. Even though I was 4, I will remember that day forever.
I was in second grade. In a small catholic school in Ohio. The teacher got a call on her cell and suddenly switched on the TV in the front of the room. She told us to watch closely and pray. We were forced to watch the tragidy, and I will never forget what I saw on that little screan. My best friend lost an aunt and grandfather to the attack, and I remember the look of pain as she fell to the ground screaming when her mother told her they were gone shortly after. I will never forget that day...
I was on the highway between Waco and Dallas going to visit my sister. A radio announcement interrupted the music station I was listening informing me a commercial airliner had crashed into the North World Trade Center. Minutes later it was reported another airliner had hit the South Tower. Motorists all around me started pulling over, one man dropped to his knee in prayer, I continued on and by the time I got to my sister's house one of the towers had collapsed. Such an emotional day.
As we waited our turn to leave we watched as the Pentagon was hit and the first tower collapsed. As we left I remember how quiet people were and I remember not being sure that we were safe riding the trains home, everyone was afraid. Living near an airport I remember how silent and empty the sky was that night and week. The image of looking up into a silent sky with my neighbor and friends that had gathered at my house so none of us would be alone.
I was running late for work and was on a commuter train into the Chicago loop when a man turned to me and said that a plan had hit the WTC. Believing it to be an accident with a small plane I made my way to my office, by the time I got to the office they had TVs set up and people watched as the 2nd Tower was hit. Then we knew. We looked out at the Sears Tower just across the river and soon it was announced that we were being evacuated floor by floor.
...& they were not! my landlady/neighbor, then our elderly friend dave, then my mom & stepdad in florida. butch had fought in the pacific in WW2, & i could hear his shock & anger over what we saw. then i told mom: that's the pentagon! mom, that's the pentagon they're showing! ...& i heard my beloved stepdad's response to that.
when i hung up the phone, i fell to my knees, tears str
I was in Elementary school waiting for class to begin and after a few minutes of class, teachers started calling each other and going to each others rooms. One of my teachers broke down before they even turned on the news. Then sometime after, while watching the news, we saw the second tower hit then the first tower fall. I was to young to know what was happening but doesnt mean I have forgotten
EmzysCrazyLife 2 months ago

Rgrahamify 4 months ago
I was in the process of hooking up a new surround sound system to my television and had it disconnected while I worked. When I finished and turned it on to test the sound, there was the video of the second plane striking the tower. I spent the rest of the day just sitting there stunned.

9/11/2011...My thoughts are for the victims of European terror all over the planet...May one day the North American ecosystems be free from the European scourge that has cause every one of its water systems to be under some form of observation for pollution. May God save us from the terror and the horror that has engulfed the planet since 1492

'the victims of European terror all over the planet'
what do you mean with that?
VLoLa9119 4 months ago

My grandmother was getting a CATscan that morning and they had to give her the medication that makes you go to sleep (because she is claustrophobic), when she woke, the nurse told her everything. Could you imagine going to sleep that morning and waking up to find out the horror of the day and how much the world had changed in an hour?
TheKirkby12 4 months ago

RIP and God Bless
