Then comes the blast wave since it travels at the speed of sound which is about 1000 times slower, and that will indeed sweep everything away and blow out much of the fire. Then you'd be gone but there's a chance you'd be on fire first. :)

first, about 4/5ths of these bombs/missles were Atomic. Second, nuclear explosions wouldn't "burn" people. The people would desinigrate so fast that they would not know what hit them.
