  • BoC are truly amazing, i had vaguely heard of them and one day by chance i stumbled on them and i was absolutely mesmerized and now days where i don't listen to them are rare. They are fantastic, each song is an amazing trip. BoC make me so happy and relaxed, they make me feel the wonders of life.

  • Its like seeing the horizon for the first time.

  • I absolutely love BoC and its fans. It's like we belong to this small group of people who are able to experience music to the fullest. This might sound arrogant, but I believe those who can't appreciate BoC lack something in their brains. I actually feel sorry for them.

  • Hearing a 30 second clip of this made me buy Trans Canada Highway

  • if 1:49 and onwards doesn't move you to tears...

  • You kn ow what I like most about listening to Boards of Canada, the fact that I don't have to keep watching that fail, ass Ghost rider sequel with Nicholas Cage. For the love of god. Stop blasting me every video with that godawful crap.

  • I like to poop my pants. I also like this song Alot

  • do drugs and do BOC

  • [than this, of course, and alike]

  • I cannot imagine myself, somewhere in the far future, listening to something else.

  • I just love the positivity on these Boc videos. Usually all the comments are pretty positive, and if you notice there's usually zero to few dislikes on them ;)

  • Timeless... infinitely

  • Found Boards of Canada in 2006 when I was given a mixed CD for Christmas. I instantly fell in love with their music and have been inspired by them artistically/avid listener for 5 years and going...thanks to Adam my co-worker at Tower for giving me that CD!!

  • Fallin in love with a masterpiece, this is BoC for me. Music which let me forget the pain. It's pure enjoyable, lyrics are overrated. I listen to every genre, really. But this project is for me real freedom :-)

  • Left Side Drive = LSD . god i'm high.

  • who cares what your friends listen to man...probably garbage like bitchtits barb, or sluts mcguire

  • feeling irie listening to BoC

  • Amazing track!

  • It's stoney music for sure!

  • brillo!

  • O . O

  • about drugs... Left Side Drive = L.S.D.

  • Do drugs kids! and then when your fucked do BoC just like me

  • Do drugs and BoC kids.

  • I really hope they come back again. We need more awesome music like this.

  • This song will play from the heavens on December 21st, 2012 as a portal opens up and zaps everyone with a heavy dose of psilocybin :)

  • this is the song that plays in my head as soon as i wake up - cloudy, mysterious. the emotions it brings forth are that of "I've been here before... And I'll be here again." the wistful, harmonic melodies presented to us... the scratchy 70's audiotrack... where we are, and where we once were. past, present, and future collide. time stops with BoC.

  • This is fucking amazing

  • Wonderful Music.

  • Favorite song to trip out to 0________0

  • (and pop)

  • Everything you do is a baloon. Certainly drugs is. :) That one will blow up quick

  • very nice track 8-)

  • BOC.....been listening to this schematics of music loops for 13 years.....and i still think they are as fresh .. and cool as last nights Diving Station ...

  • If you are a music lover, you probably felt the same way I did when you stumbled onto boards of canada for the first time. I remember feeling like I discovered something so great that I needed to tell all of my friends about. The only problem, most of them didn't care. Four years later I still listen to this band at least three times a week. This duo stands the test of time and rarely do I ever get bored of BoC.

  • @MrSrc08c yes

  • @MrSrc08c man I know its the same for me I have lived off of bc as sustenance I am not sick of any song it, never ever gets old, it just does something to my brain that I can't explain I am so sad they have not made anything since 06. It's simply just the best music ever made that's all i can say.

  • @MrSrc08c Couldn't have put it better myself man. I've spread the word high and low, as best as I can. But I'm still the only one who truly understands the beauty that is reflected from their music. Songs like this and Kid for Today just never ever get boring for me. I'm glad someone, somewhere, is on the same level with Boc. spect.

  • @MrSrc08c beautiful truthful comment, i feel the same

  • @MrSrc08c I stumbled upon "1969" in a radio, and then investigated their music and was completely gobsmacked. Unfortunately, all but one of my friends truly understood what this kind of music meant. But, somehow it was good, like we achieved some kind of musical bond. Boards of Canada have deeply touched us and guided us towards musical enlightenment.

  • @MrSrc08c

There are two types of people in world. Those who love BoC, and those who are deaf.

  • @MrSrc08c right there with you

  • @MrSrc08c I'm totally with you on that one. My stepbrother bought me a "Music has the Right to Children" CD a few years ago and I've been a massive fan ever since!

  • @MrSrc08c I know that feel. Happily there is the internet, where I can find other good luck people that listen to them

  • @MrSrc08c you know that's the exact same way i felt when i took my first bag of psychedelic mushrooms. i felt as if there were a secret inside the drug that no one in the world knew about except for fellow trippers. like something so beautiful and enlightening that the whole world need to know my secret. yet. no one cared. only my fellow trippers...

  • @MrSrc08c eye to eye.

  • hmmm i' never sure of what i say. small mouth noises, linear thoughts... i need to drop-out to this track once more, no more comments, just music:)

  • im hugging my subwoofer

  • drugs doesnt give happiness

    music probably do :)

  • baba-fucking-nanas

  • the music is so soothing(:

  • Master...

  • i love all these comments here..

  • @connorveale Oh shizz, sorry. I forgot they went to sleep already. OK OK, use my "inside" voice...

  • DAMN THIS TRACK IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!! DEFINITELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOARDS TRAX, THOUGH I FEEL LIKE A JERK SAYING "FAVORITE" ABOUT A BOARDS SONG, BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL SO AMAZING IN THEIR OWN WAY, RIGHT??!

  • this song reminds me of the way the future was imagined in the 80s on movies and in real life

  • dont do drugs kids,

    do BoC

  • @AnalogueAbsynth ...yet the title of this song is a clear reference to drugs.

  • @AnalogueAbsynth Or drugs AND BOC :D

  • @mikeisapro my thoughts exactly.

  • @AnalogueAbsynth

BOC IS A FUCKING BAND NOT A DRUG DOES BOC LOOK LIKE A PILL OR A JOINT OR A FUCKING CIGARETTE IT'S NOT A DRUG THEY'RE HUMAN BEINGS STOP DEGRADING JUST BECAUSE YOU LIKE THEIR STUPID FUCKING MUSIC YOU

  • @Onepretentiousdude You need to relax.

  • @canucksfan94

Why dont YOU FUCKING RELAX YOU STUPID FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!

  • @Onepretentiousdude Hahahaha... this is obviously a joke profile. You're funny.

  • @AnalogueAbsynth Why can't we have both?

  • @AnalogueAbsynth Don't let them men in suits tell you that you can't have it all.

  • @AnalogueAbsynth Same thing.

  • ASTONISHING TUNE. One of the greatest songs of all time.

  • BoC are my drug of choice!

  • music "experimental" in progress..masterpiece

  • fuck haarp and its atmospheric raping being

  • @Kevra777 DMT? LSD? Drug references? Or did you make that up?

  • @Kevra777 Is this in reference to HAARP?

  • @Kevra777 I'm pretty sure they wrote this album and Campfire Headphase at dawn. I used to drive to work and listen to this every morning. It was my saving grace.....and amazingly serene.

  • the booards of canada is the same that nova scotia robots?

  • only thing I don't like about boards of canada is sometimes they use a really high frequency/high pitch sound that fucking HURTS the ears, almost like they mixed it too loudly in the track. i've noticed this on a few songs.

  • @russian2canada Most likely is half related to the sound system you were using. Their aim is to destroy the sound and so artifacts that are sometimes ugly rear their head.

  • Epic BoC. A favorite of mine.

  • con esta cancion siempre me tomo una ducha...

  • @uxualter tiene que ser una experiencia realmente increible

  • Damn my left side of brain is driving!

  • by the way listening to solange cover of this was great ... if anyone do not agree thats fine but why bother telling me ;)

  • some bird had the bad nerve to put vocals to this , error maior! if she'd actually LISTENED to it, she'd know her grave mistake (bordering on crime?). perfect doesn't need more!

  • @thorpeparkguru

No, you're not the only one. People who take drugs aren't special, at all.

  • In all fairness, I started listening to BoC before I started smoking heavily. It was great then, and it's great now. People who insist on persisting in this sober vs. not-sober business are missing the point (i.e. the music). Shut the fuck up and listen.

  • @Agallochness

    Yeah whatever.

  • @VVillowz Boo hoo some people like drugs, and what's worse, some people like drugs for the new conscious experience. Why get huffy over it? Why even reply at all when it affects no one, least of all you? Shhh and enjoy the music. Sshhhh.

  • @ThatsNotPoetry Well you replies to it.

  • wow,this is f**king fantastic

  • spaced out is all that need to be said

  • @thorpeparkguru Also I hate Phish, just to prove I'm not someone who listens to music because of drugs. :D

  • @thorpeparkguru Sure you're not. I don't agree with the whole "BOC is my drug" thing, but having listened to 95% of BOC while sober I can say that their music is just as moving and effective when not under the influence. The feelings of nostalgia and escape are just as intense. With that said, drug taking brings everything to another level- particularly music like this. I can't explain it to a non drug-user, but when you can put your brain into the perfect state to enjoy music: Boc fucking rocks

  • @sheepeasy which drugs do u think work best with Boc?

  • @thorpeparkguru nop..! I don't see the need for drugs when I have BoC and enjoy it just fine the way it is. :)

  • (L) eft

    (S) ide

    (D) rive

  • it feels like sliding down a slide from heaven to earth

  • BoCs not so bad drunk either...

  • @MrBellsBlues On an "off-topic forum", someone posted "Here's what I call good music" and sent a link to "Music is Math". I listened to it once, didn't really like it. Two weeks later I had the music in my head. I told myself "Damn, I need to listen to this song once more, but to do so I first have to find the post with the link to the tune". Found it. Listened to Music is Math again. Listened to lots of other songs by BoC. Fell in love with BoC. Now enjoying.

  • Ultimate relaxation - driving around at night smoking good danks and listening to BoC. Anyone who doesn't agree with me? Try it some time.

  • I'm an atheist, and the closest thing to a religious experience I had was listening to a Boards of Canada track.

  • @StillAtMyMoms ...WTF

  • @StillAtMyMoms you ment spiritually experience, not religious.. right?

  • @StillAtMyMoms - Oh man same, when I listen to them I'm just immersed in this overwhelming feeling of optimism, bliss and general peace. The only band to ever get such an emotional reaction out of me.

  • I think this song is pretty much what being in an airplane feels like. Somehow is this really "flown".

  • i never take drugs and i love boc ! the music and life itself are enough for me

  • A song that calls on melancholy to me. This track is as the title says, a road song..I could even picture myself high up in the sky, nothing but the view of a low hanging sun, a few clouds and an airplanewing that reflects the sunlight.

  • am i the only one who listens to this sober lol..

  • @Ramazed It's great both ways! Don't have to be either one to enjoy, just LISTEN! As you were, Ramazed :) :)

  • BOC are masters. This is pure ambient electronic bliss. Life is good!

  • the ending to this is ascending to heaven

  • @Sadsic The ending is amazing.

  • just wondering, how did you you all find this band?

  • @MrBellsBlues

well...I found Boards of Canada because I make beats and my friend kept saying they sounded like them...I now know that's not entirely true...I'm not as good...aww...

  • @MrBellsBlues - I was researching weather balloons and was led to the Dayvan Cowboy video clip.

That was about three and a half years ago and BOC have been my absolute fav ever since.

  • @MrBellsBlues for me.. somebody referred to them commenting on a jimi hendrixx video, said they were masters, and i wondered if they were canadian so i checked them out....

  • @MrBellsBlues believe it or not, my first encounter with BoC was with the David Elsewhere clips that went viral years ago. That alone is what shifted my music tastes to IDM and other genres. it was the best thing that ever happened to me.

  • @MrBellsBlues Quite a lame way actually. I was playing Guild Wars - an MMORPG game - and asked for good music to read to. Somebody recommended Boards of Canada and here I am, two years later.

  • This song is like the coldest contrepart of 1969... well the Northest side of BOC.. I lived in the perfect bracket of time and space to understand BOC, as a child of 80's from Canada, this band is my childhood literally.

  • i dont think ive ever listened to a bad song from this guys......god!

  • This really does give me the image of being the passanger in a car that's driving around on a highway in the middle of the night, just resting my head on my hand looking out the window... i htink i'm gonna try that sometime.

  • 1:13 a black line speeds by near the top of the screen.

  • You ought to be on pain killers now THATS great while you listen to this tune.

  • They are just masters at what they do... this is a brilliant upload, Thank you.

  • this song reminds me of, when I was about 8 or 9 and running around in my backyard in the summer time, running through the local golf course and woods, and than when it gets dark, it reminds me of when my parents got divorced.

  • 1 dislike must've been an accidental click...right?

  • EARGASMS EARGASMS EARGASMS EARGASMS EARGASMS EARGASMS !

  • no words to explain the amount of chill in this song

  • BoC sounds amazing whether I'm stoned or not, granted, I may listen to it more when I'm stoned. It's just that good!

  • A friend of mine insisted we listen to that the first time we did acid. It was an experience.

  • @Agallochness

sounds like a shitty experience to me.....that song is not nice trippin music and the video ffs, if you want a bad trip then yeah great

  • Shit dude. I'd be happy tripping to black metal, if anyone around me could handle it. Not sure I could deal with watching Happiness In Slavery, though.

  • @Agallochness

UMMM THATS A LIL SICK, BUT I WAS HIGH WHILE LISTENING TO DIR EN GREY....doubt you know who they are , ohh well....

  • @Agallochness I've listened to tech-metal tripping before (Between the Buried and Me, to be exact). I enjoyed it to be honest. For anyone who's never gotten into that style of music I suppose it'd be a pretty disconcerting experience though.

  • @Agallochness Tripping to metal is one of the most intense things ever! A +++ with Nile just becomes mind blowing

  • @Agallochness been there, done that... long live trent

  • @Agallochness

    Trip to 'The Great Misdirect'.

The first time I heard that album I was tripping so I may be a bit partial. But it's fucking amaaazing.

  • @AcidBugler

Pink Floyd Ummagumma, this BOC song although not bad, it is Burger King musicc compared to them. "Careful with that Axe Eaugene" , HIGHly recommended.

  • Makes my mind float

  • fav beautiful boards of canada tune, reminds me of travelling in India

  • ...BoC...can never really put my finger on how to pin these guys down...subtle, haunting, dream-like beat makin...some material is so good to me...seems soaked in memory...meditation...words cant do it...

  • Why is this track really awesome? I think because it is appealing to our subconscious mind. We don't need to listen this actively coz it penetrates into our entire brain naturally through ears and it is comfortable.

  • When I look at pictures from the Hubble, Chandra and Spitzer telescopes while listening to this, I feel like how church is supposed to feel.

  • I need this in my music collection.

  • boards of canada = possible method for mind control

  • these guys are such fucking legends. whoever doesnt like them oughta get their brain checked out

  • @VideoKiwi2008 or maybe you do....just a thought

  • B-b-b-b-BLAZE music

  • Stoned or sober, we all think BoC is a good band. Let's just leave it at that.

  • @Agallochness Can we please just leave it at this?

  • I love this band when i'm NOT high.

  • I love BOC sober, but they are a trip when one expands the mind. But if it isn't your thing, well power to you! Just don't judge those with less borders.

  • The song reminds me of having a carefree vacation day from work.

  • i love boc sooo sci fi so is the music

  • this song is the drug

  • wouldn't go that far.. they have some other brilliant tracks, but this is simply bliss. boc are fucking epic, they were amazing when they emerged in the early 90s.. news is that they are releasing sometime in 2010.

  • their the very best work as a single track

  • for me, this song may be the quintessential representation of "chill"

  • Comment removed

  • this song is something else, it makes me smile alot. :)

  • one time i got sober and listened to this song, it was so religious.....just try listening to it next time ur sober.

  • @ trentbateman

First time I heard this track I was sober. Seemed a good song. Then I heard it after a joint. Amazing song. Then I heard it after a tab of LSD. Most important song of my life.

So I'm going to have to disagree. A thumbs up for you still; different strokes for different folks.
