my mom was killed by her husband (not my father) when she tried to get a divorce. I was 5 and I saw it happen. This stuff is very real! Men and Women do not put yourself through this and when you do leave, have someone go with you, even if you think it should be ok. My mom thought it would be ok to go alone. Now I will never see her again.

It's easy to condemn the abused and decide that she must deserve it or be stupid to stay, but abusive men are very charismatic. They can convince you that you are nothing and no one else will want you. Some women seem like they don't want help because they go right back but some women do wake up and smell the coffee. My answer to domestic violence is for women to be more selective upon selective in choosing their significant other. If people used that tool between their two shoulders instead of the one between the thighs, it lessens the chances of being in a predicament of abuse. Otherwise the cycle of abuse will continue to be passed down to future generations. It's kind of obvious nothing real is being done to correct the problem.

The brother probably still needs to continue picking Ebony up and dropping her off to work after the restraining order is enforced because that can really make the predator enraged and sometimes they get crazier after reality sets in that she actually put a restraining order out on him. I am so happy that she is being so strong and is using her head because a lot of women are not as strong as she is because they are scared to be alone and will stay and deal with the abuse. She is a smart girl!
