This is how you Innovate an MMO. wow is a GREAT game and no game(even that sad excuse for an mmo SWTOR) have been able to do what wow has. While it did great story telling warcraft is just a polish mmo experience. With that said GW2 is a great example of Innovation and what can be done when you don't have Money Hungry publishers policing your game. I hope that doesn't happen to GW down the road. Blizzard stoped giving aprox numbers on their subscribers a few years back in time so noone knows how high it is now. I personally do not agree with the presumed 10mil as they had 12mils before the Chinese servers closed which lost them millions subscribers on a single day.

I hope in world vs world pvp and even some PvE content you fight alongside and against armies of uniformed npc troops and officers. Even if you are alongside a hundred other players the feel is not truly epic unless there are armies of troops with you.
Only reason no "wow Killer" has succseded is because thats exactly what they were trying to do/be.. Another WoW but much much better or what ever. This in itself is takeing a whole new view to online gameplay, to mmos. A diffrent approach a diffrent way of making.

Funny how they always say how "dynamic" this boss is, yet he stands in one spot the whole time doing nothing but putting up walls and adds that fall in a few hits after being soloed. Game is centered around dragons? Nothing new. The boss literally does nothing. This is what you get for no subscription fee.

Am I jealous? Of what exactly? The clunky gameplay, dragons that don't do anything except spawn adds, the easy content, the questionable PvP, or the so called "dynamic events," which could easily be defined as killing a random number of monsters to either gain reputation or leveling experience.

@hydrokat143 WoW needed a make over years ago but that didnt stop people from playing the game. as much as I dislike WoW, that game is far from being dead just because the Blizzard name is attached to it.

@hydrokat143 Not really. Guild Wars 2 won't hurt WoW very much. It might take some of the players away for a bit, but then after a month people will start to go back to WoW again.

Funny how they always say how "dynamic" this boss is, yet he stands in one spot the whole time doing nothing but putting up walls and adds that fall in a few hits after being soloed. Game is centered around dragons? Nothing new. The boss literally does nothing. This is what you get for no subscription fee.
Interesting how a bunch of people that don't know more than half their abilities on their bar, yet they somehow defeated one of the big bosses in the game.

@repzaj1234 I realize this is a demostration because I remember being there and smashing a bunch of abilities, of which I had no idea what they did, and defeated the dragon quite easily. Am I jealous? Of what exactly? The clunky gameplay, dragons that don't do anything except spawn adds, the easy content, the questionable PvP, or the so called "dynamic events," which could easily be defined as killing a random number of monsters to either gain reputation or leveling experience.

In addition, you cannot have information on such a big MMO such as GW2 if you only watch a bunch of youtube videos. Aion was big based off of youtube videos and so was RIFT. However, once people began to play it, it flopped. Same is going to happen to GW2.

@elrith1 lol You think I only watch videos? I've read almost all details of Guild Wars 2. A living, unpredictable world. A cause and effect system. ArenaNet is doing everything right and isn't rushing for the early profit. By what I've seen on your channel you're a WoW troll just as expected. Go back to playing WoW and continue wasting your money to pay a ridiculous monthly fee to a game that isn't fking worth it. Blizzard did a good job in promoting Kung Fu Panda on their new expansion btw.

@elrith1 These bosses are open world bosses, they aren't full on raid content. They are also scaled down due to the fact players are new and haven't got experience. They taken abilities out and also the bosses aren't complete. Look things up before trying to bash it!

It's fun, after all the game that have ever attempted to "kill" WoW and take it's "loot", people seem to don't learn and always come up with, "LOL DIS WILL KILL WOWZ COS IT SHINYZ !!" really... wait and see, it looks really good, but so far "dynamic" shit is a failure, slow and boring, but who knows, maybe GW2 knows how to fix it ;) But so far, it's one more attempt till it's released!

I might get this game, It has great boss and mob physics and looks amazing, I wish the player movements were a bit better as far as combat..maybe similar to vindictus but this game is still great, I only wish vin was a free roam and not built around a story like this game here lets u get away from, other wise I'd absolutly love vin x.x

The problem here is you have to have enough people to make this exciting. The first game had the problem of overpopulation in some areas and underpopulation in others. If there isn't enough people it won't be fun :(
