Gys I'm gonna clear this up now. Dawn of war isn't a Starcraft ripoff. It's the other way around. While dawn of war was made later than Starcraft, the Warhammer universe (what dawn of war takes place in) existed since long before starcraft was made. If don't believe me, go look it up. Besides, both are great games ripoff or not.

Also, while Starcraft was in early development it was actually intended to be a Warhammer 40K licensed game. The developers eventually lost the rights somehow and the game had to be quickly refitted to be its standalone universe.

Yes, W40K came first and SC took some of their ideas, but why fuss over that? If not, then like all Eldar Weaponry, it cut clean through the ceramite armor and did a number on his arm (Since by Warhammer 40,000 Lore, Eldar Weaponry cuts clean through all known Space Marine armours.)

Exaggeration, they have redundant vital organs, fast clogging blood and fast regeneration, so they can still function with wounds that normally would have kill a normal man several time over, but nowhere near the level of 'destroying every last bit'. I remember at least one almost died because an internal wound was unable to clog up, and some died of a single well-placed bolt rounds burst. A hole in the head also works.

@TamanoBaka Yup. I.e, a certain story I read where a Grey Knight was blasted in the chest by a single bolter round. The Daemonic energy residing within the bolter round cult through the armour and pierced him in the abdomen.

Space Marines can take a hell of a pounding, but the truth is they can die from a simple wound to the gut.

-Eldars/Dark Eldars are very effective with hit-run tactic. However they dont fare that well exposed and head to head against Marines, unless the Eldar in question is a named/ace character.

Eldar/Dark Eldar utilizing their stealth and mobility well can even off officer rank Marines with just regular troops in some cases

If they are exposed though... a single battle brother took on several Dark Eldars in 'brothers of the Snake'

i wanted to point out that its PRO marine they have a dreadnaught (cybot in germany) ... i play the table top game and a ranger especially when upgraded isnt as invurnerable to gunfire like terminators by the marines... and an upgraded ranger (in german: weltenwanderer) owns heavy infantry

i know that mobilty is their strength but a phantom lord to compeed the dreadnaught would be fair... eldar > marines thats my intention :D

hmm but i think that the tabletop game shows more characteristics of the races then the video game... i think those balance issues r found in the game as well and many aspects rnt even touched... like camouflage of a ranger but in the tabletop u can see every ability and its reflected on the battlefield quite realistic...

after reading some novels, they seem to agree that Eldars/Dark Eldars can wreck a lot of havoc when they are undetected, and has somewhat an advantage in ship battle while direct combat tend to end with marines on top. All in all, I'll say they are about equal.
