  • At last Mike, you've seen the beast !! Superb capture at a great location, and I'm delighted your first experience was a good one ...Bob

  • @robmasterman Thanks - You'll like this next bit Bob. Just got back from Oxford where I had been to see a gig - The Wedding Present - you may have heard of them. Drove to Heyford Station to catch the train into Oxford to avoid driving in Christmas traffic. Parked at Heyford, got out of the car, turned to admire Heyford station - 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe bolted through the Station heading north with the Moor Street Express!. I had no idea! Two firsts in one day!! LOL! - Mike

  • @NN2Blue What a fantastic day Mike....one is green with envy....going down the Gwili again this morning so will catch up later in the day...Bob

  • Hi Mike, I saw at Wembley Yard arriving from Slither Green at 05h45, then at Euston arriving at 07h10 then taking water before departing at 08h06 with 13 on UNASSISTED up Camden Bank, then overtook her at Northchurch Tunnels, hopefully see her later back at MKC.

  • @englischlokfuehrer Thanks. I noticed your MK video was up - I'll watch it shortly. - Mike

  • @NN2Blue The London vid is now available.

  • Excellent shot, I filmed at Easenhall

  • @sirhcsteam Thanks. Mike

  • Cracking clip Mike, well captured.

  • @acw71000 Thank you Sir! Mike

  • Nice shot! :) Is this the locomotive that was featured in the Top Gear series, the one they said took about 18 years to build?

  • @dheerajrao .......and a German built boiler. Yes, the very same! Thanks. Mike

  • @stephengthompson Thanks Steve - foreground is a bit cluttered, and lighting is difficult but the weather was quite pleasant. Being five to six miles out of Northampton it doesn't get quite so crowded. It's not particularly good for Southbound shots. Mike

  • I filmed this at Milton Keynes. Nice steady shot.

  • @52foxbat Thanks! Handy Metal Gate Post! LOL! - Mike

  • Very nice steam engine. This is the new built one, right?

  • @megatwingo Yes - it's only a couple of years old ! Thanks Ingo - Mike
