Boring ad extremum, as Billy use to be. This is not a solo, it's just a shuffle. No sense of composition. As a drum clinic that can be OK. As a solo > NO WAY.

I'm not a jealous guy. Billy is an excellent drummer but his solos were always weak in the aspect of composition.

Billy Cobham is without a doubt one of the best drummers ever, and ranks among my top five. But I have to disagree with most of the people who have responded to this so far. To me, this just sounds sloppy and doesn't hold a candle to the stuff I heard coming from him back in the 60's, 70's and 80's. I think he has lost his chops somewhat, at least on this performance.

he ambidextrous thats why his drums are set up different...this guy hes like the father of prog drumming on all levels... mars volta are like modern rips offs of some of his bands like maha vishnu orchestra and billy's own albums... hes one of the last classic greats...hes also damn old so to see hes still playing and hasnt given up makes me very happy!
