Lindzen and Svensmark both have reviewed papers showing this CO2 panic is just that. Once they are peer reviewed, you can't call them rejects, the science they put forward on the matter stands. It seems no matter what the evidence, the warmists want a cap and tax regime, it seems one cannot stop a political movement with science.

His modelling is of a gray-body atmosphere (no spectral lines or shapes)

No practical climate study would use any gray-body theory

Kirchhoffs Law is completely mis-stated. KL says that emissivity equals absorptivity. Dr M assumes the emittances and absorbances can be equated (not true as re emitted radiation has a different spectral mix)

Looking at a cloud chamber in High school is a bit more primitive, without controls or measurements, than the experiments at CERN.

Besides, Lindzen did measure the incoming radiance and outgoing radiance.

He plotted outgoing vs. incoming. Guess what? When you fit a least square line on the data points, the line has a positive slope! ( the climate models assume a negative slope) It is impossible to have a runaway greenhouse situation.

Great job Dr Hansen. It's nice to see someone who reminds the public that climate change is primarily a scientific issue. We should be debating what to do about climate change, not whether or not it is happening. Unless you're a climatologist you really don't have the knowledge to make that sort of judgement. It's in our best interests to accept the views of the people who are trained in these areas.

Only a pin-head would dismiss Hansen's presentation as worthless. He represents the scientific consensus...with the exception of his criticism of the IPCC, on its tardiness in including data on ice-melt into its ocean rise scenario. As I understand it, the science for this is very soon to become settled. When is such science adequate for governments to meaningfully act? I hope soon.

Ocean levels are not rising. Global temps have declined since 2005. And yes, Hansen does present a consensus, a political consensus. The antarctic ice sheet is increasing. CO2 has nothing to do with temp increases. There is no AGW. Temps and CO2 have fluctuated to a greater degree in the past. NASA does not support his lies and should fire this piece of shit.

He was never right. His presentation to Congress in 1988 had three options...a low ball temperature and an higher one and an even higher one.

He claimed then that he was being silenced by the Admin. and he still says it 20 years later, even though he had done thousands of on the jobe interviews.
