  • Thanks so much!!!!!!!! I'm so glad that I found this! :)

  • The tutu would come out fluffier if you looped it instead of tying knots how she did..it's easier too.. I prefer to put the tulle on ribbon not elastic

  • girl you need not to put that ribon on that cute tutu

  • Tulle is super cheap. Go to walmart. I got 4 yards of it for 5 bucks. I think for smaller children, get smaller child size heatbands. I luv how easy this is!!

  • my prom dress needs a petticoat but they are all floor length when my dress in knee length...could i use this tutu to fill out the dress? would the material be to heavy and way it down?

  • How much is the tulle??

  • OMG I can't wait intill Spring time because when it's warm out I am going to make some tutus and wear them on warm days in Spring and Summer!!

  • You can't see what you are doing.

  • The end result would have been good to see, was waiting to see it finished. Up close you can't really see it. Either way thanks for the tip, was great... :0)

  • do you have to do more than one layer of tulle??

  • Thank you so much for taking some time to make this video. It's perfect and I'm a big fan of your videos! ;) Will try a nice black and dark purple for my baby's halloween costume!

  • I wish I could see more, the video is close...

  • Hi, I love the idea of using the headbands for the waistband & have made two tutus that way...however, I cannot figure out how to not have the goody headband twist??? I'm doing the slip knot--maybe I'm tying it too tight..I don't know--I take my time & think it's not twisting, then it is really bad. Any thoughts/suggestions? Also, the first one I made fit my toddler as well as myself & now the last one fell right off my toddler--I thought they were a universal size? Please help. Thank you!!

  • @kdmccann2 use a ribbon

  • The headbands are probably waaaay easier to find, rather than the elastic.

  • great ^^

  • great job...adding to my favorites

  • I LOVE this... perfect for me to make & Thanks ALOT!!!

  • does tulle cost a lot??

  • LOOKS REALLY GREAT!

btw can i use another fabrics instead of chiffon

and it is gonna like show my underwear if i walk too fast?

i really like it, ima try it someday!

  • i made 2 tutus already with this idea or elastic!it really works!

  • Using the headbands, will it end up being too big for a 1 year old. I love the idea of using the headband, but I am worried it might be too big for my daughter.

  • Is the tutu supposed to fit young children or like anyone including teens and adults. i want to make one and your way seems easy except how does the small headband fit around a teen or adult?

  • fits toddler, child and adults up to size 8/10.

  • how much tulle will you need for this (about a 10' long tutu)

  • I used about 40 strips of tulle for the white tutu shown. I bought the rolls of tulle from the craft store. That kind was 6" wide x 25 yards. You can make about 2 tutus per roll of tulle.

  • I am deffenitly using this!! :D

  • this is way easier than using it with ribbon or elastic.

  • could you make the tutu fluffier by layering the tull?

  • yes. I made this before and I tried that and it worked. the tutu can be way fluffier that way.

  • @koinu27 I have that question too :/

  • Omgsh. This is the most easiest tutu tutorial I've ever seen. Lols. Thanks a lot! I could easily make this for a birthday present. ;]

  • I think you can make it for a teen right?

    Im gona try making one.

    No wait,

    19.

    :D

  • yep- just make sure you cut the tulle long enough.

  • would this fit on a teenager...or is there a different way that i could make one that would fit one?

  • yep- just cut the tulle long enough

  • @briittneebrown if you need a bigger tutu (waist-wise) take a sturdy elastic (like the ones used for sewing), cut it to your size (i.e. stretch it out so it fits comfortably) and sew the elastic into a loop. Then make your tutu.

  • OMFG

    I WUVES YEW

    LOL

    YOUR THE BEST O_O

Ima make one............when i get money

  • can we use this method for a teenager?

  • OMG Bless you!!! So easy!!

  • Yea I agree this is better than the other ways Ive seen I love the stretchy head band too more than just pulling them through a doubled over loop...You go craft mama now I can make my 3 yr old a tutu

  • this was so much easier than the other ways i seen.. thanx!!!

  • i love this i made a tutu for your wrist i will put up a tutorial for t you might like it. it was based off of your idea! thanks so much for this and i just did the same thing but smaller and for your wrist

  • where do you buy the tulles ? [[ the see through thingies to make the tutu ]]

  • you can buy tulle in rolls at a craft store (usually in the wedding department) or at fabric shops by the yard.

  • What It The see throguth thing Called

  • a tulle

  • Is this meant to fit adults?

I have a ton of these headbands, and it'd be great to use them on myself!

  • it could definitely fit an adult. try the headbands on and see how it fits around your waist. you will need more tulle to fill out the tutu for an adult....go for it!!!

  • Does that mean that I can make an underskirt to make my dress bloom in less than 15 minutes?!

  • sure!!!! what a creative solution :)

  • what kind of top would go nice with a tutu b/c im planning to be a fairy for halloween and i dont want to spend money on costumes..help please:]

  • You can just wear a coordinating color tighter fitting t-shirt and get the fairy wings at the halloween store!

  • heyyy i was going to do that!

  • i hate soots they cost more.

  • that how i do it lol

    way to do

  • how long does the tulle need to be?

  • you need to cut the tulle strils 2x longer than the length you want the skirt to me. You then tie the tulle in 1/2 (in the middle of the strip) along the waistband.

  • is this for children? i am in need of a tutu for MYSELF and i am deffinately NOT a todler. will this head bands fit around adults?

  • Buy elastic instead going to achive the same thing you just have to tie it around once your finished

  • Just get a piece of ribbon. :]

  • i had to fave this & subscribe.

    thanks for the video :]

  • Hi What size children would you say the headbands would range?

    Thank you!

  • the best fit would be for ages 2+. But when you use the headbands, they fit up to adults! I have been known to dress up in matching tutus with with my 3 year old. :)

  • cool :D this seems easy to do ! i will try it .

  • I just made one of these for my daughter tonight for fourth of july and it is absolutly adorable. thanks so much
