this was very interesting to watch, didn't make it down there. john said it was a good time recording the special 'nights' for this. Not exactl an amusement park person anymore, but this was quite interesting. Thanks.
This is my favorite ride of all time. My dad absolutely adores this song, and I hoped I could one day bring him back to ride it with me just once, but sadly, it closed before I got the chance. If I ever become rich, or famous, or maybe even both, I am determined that somehow, I will have this ride reopened, so he, as well as the rest of the world, can experience its beauty firsthand. Thank you, SallyCorp. R.I.P. NIWS.
damn i miss this ride it was epic! One of my favourtie rides. Haha i remember the verry first time i went on it with my dad NO ONE told us about the 3D glasses and the 2 people behind us were just all amazed by it while my dad and i are confused and thought the people behind us were high untill later we realised then we got back in line found the glasses and went back on it was epic! I miss this park too thanks for making such an awesome ride! :)
This was my dead uncles Prom Song. I cry every time I hear it. He was engaged to a woman, but one day he had gotten into a terrible auto accident with her. She made it out with a single cut or so. He was extremely less fortunate.
@sadalite Sorry, this ride was at Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach. It was a brand new park that was only open for a year before being sold and renamed "Freestyle Music Park" at which time the ride was replaced. RIP Nights!
was an okay ride. i came all the way from norway to try it (2008), so i guess i got a little dissapointed. i mean, I know they could have made it better than that. and that red light dot was SO annoying, it kinda ruined the whole experience. and now... that monster thing? it's horrible and not because it includes monsters. i'm getting dissapointing goosebumps like only R.L Stine can give you when i think about how bad this ride has become. it's making me believe that 2012 is really gonna happen.
I wish I could have ridden this ride, it looked amazing. it was just like that scene in charlie and the chocolate factory when they're going through the tunnel, but with less nightmares and better music.
ahhhh i loved this ride i still have a pare of the glasses that were on it truly a work of art i am very disappointed that the new owners took it out but hey maybe they will make something just like it or maybe even better
I agree that it is a shame, and it was a great ride, However you Can't blame the new owners. The theme and music was the intellectual property of Hard Rock.
The New owners realized that the park would continue to fail if they paid the outragous price that Hard Rock was going to charge for it. Give them another year or so to build capital to make this ride great again.
I wish I had seen this in person, I did not get to the park in time before it went BK. I would like to see an even better moody blues ride, with its own castle like building, with medley of MB insturmental songs in the loop. Any chance something like that could happen? Actually, I though "House of Four Doors" would have made a better ride but NIWS looks like it was something.
Why did Freestyle kill the magic of this Disney-quality dark ride? It was perfectly fine for the new park, but all they could've done was to change the name.
the owners are idiots and i feel that buying annual passes has wasted my time and money. I told the manager "I bought annual passes for the good park, so wheres it at?". and he had nothing to say
Since I'm not a roller coaster person, this was one of most enjoyable attractions at the "old" Hard Rock Park. FMP is not the same. To take away this ride is madness!
this ride alone should have been enough to keep the hard rock park afloat. epic ride. nothing else can take its place. i treasure both times i was able to ride it!!! RIP... :(
It takes a few cardboard cutouts, To turn a psychedelic adventure, into a regular boring dark ride.

They closed it?

@angeloflifelight Unfortunaltely, they did. The park cost 400 million dollars to build and was only open for one year! ;-(

@SallyCorp 400 million?!!!! DO you know why that closed it? That's a huge chunk o' money down the drain! :P

i think that HRP should be reimagined and rebuilt in Las Vegas, with this ride as one of the headliners!

If they really had to get rid of this ride, why couldn't it be turned into Ghost blasters? What they have now looks like a middle school art project.
I was hoping this would be competition for Disney to bring Journey Into Imagination back but why should they now?
EpicBob 2 years ago
I'd go on this maybe like about 6 times.

It's funny how they say this ride wasn't "family friendly", when they're showing kids in the video!
This had nothing to do about controversy, it's all about selling out and making a buck.
This ride, though gone, will always hold a special place in my heart.
