this is awesome.... Rumsfeld couldn't come up with a straight quick answer. Some idiot... probably the same one who tried to throw the guy out, HAD TO INTERRUPT AND STOP THE WHOLE THING! And as a quick second thought: since when did people start getting thrown out of places and tazed? It seems like that sort of stuff started happening recently. Since when if someone is not yelling are you thrown out of a place for asking questions? This country is starting to become weird.
At the end of the video the guy says as someone much younger than you and rummy says everybody issss he's a 1000 year old reptilian and thats all the proof i need thanks
I love how when he quoted rumsfeld, rumsfeld flat out denied that he ever said the quote. somebody get him a tivo so we can play it back. that alone constitutes him loosing an argument with a heckler. I seriously can't believe we live in a country where the security guards where attempting to forcefully remove a person for asking a question in a public forum. its called fascism. rumsfeld's bodyguards obviously know all about how to suppress opinion thats not in line with the fascist regime.

November 1983. George Schultz, the Secretary of State, is given intelligence reports showing that Iraqi troops are daily using chemical weapons against the Iranians. [1]
July, 1984. CIA begins giving Iraq intelligence necessary to calibrate its mustard gas attacks on Iranian troops. [19]
even if there were no nuclear warheads in iraq,,im glad they did what they did too make sure a sadistic tyrant like saddam could never get hold of any of these types of weapons,,respect to US and UK forces
If someone honestly believes something that is later proven false, it isnt a lie. His answers were on point.
Despite his mistakes, Donald Rumsfeld is a good American who acted with the country's best interests in mind, and people shouldnt be so eager to demonize him and others who faced difficult decisions in the wake of national tragedy.
but if you say something is true beyond any question being full aware that you dont have al the data and take terrible desitions based on what he though it was true its not only a liar its also an irresponsible man. He said he knew were weapons were and now he said he never knew that he thought he knew, he is a liar,
I'm glad to see that we have become so blind now that we cant even differentiate between lies and honesty, and also need people to explain the difference between the two, such as you did "leyvaordaz". it was a good explanation though, i wish more people realized.
that was to prevent himself from looking worse than he already did dude. if he allowed the goon to throw that guy out (for asking perfectly reasonable questions) it would have just been an absolute given that a) he's a liar who needs goons to silence dissent and b) he's actively helping subvert free speech laws - all that AND the fact that the free speech pertained to matters of the highest importance.
he switched from saying there were WMDs to saying there was a chemical weapons threat to soldiers...what the f***? - thats two entirely different things.
Ugh. Idiots. Stop clapping. When are these weak people going to grow a backbone and stop supporting and cheering for people who don't give a shit about them? Wake up people.
@bweazel These are the future teabaggers who now claim no love him nor his boss Dubya now. Here them tell, they never liked Bush either. This vid kinda proves otherwise. Their behavior is very canny & identifiable no matter what the hell they call themselves in this world, in this era.
It's so comforting to know that there are still true Americans who follow the values of the founding fathers and stand up to people like Bush, Cheney, Roe and this clown.
Now we know, american government do wut they want to do. they can lie, they can kill 100,000 of inocent people, kids, womens, and dont even have to say sorri, and move on with there life haply with there family. Are we "american, iraqi, palestino, are not people with family? fuck the govenment. I m dispointed at my american people. how can u join these basterds in WAR? clearly we know they are killing for money and power, y are we helping them?
i hate when people analyse one part of a massive spectrum in detail and then grill someone on that detail, because they are in charge of the spectrum. im sure if rumsfeld was given a chance to go away an prepare an answer with his dept. it would have seemed a lot clearer. i could grill that ex-CIA analyst in detailabout his breakfast an im sure he wouldnt know the EXACT details, just that he ate it
Oh that guy Rumsfeld, it's almost embarrassing to watch this guy stumble and dance and try to think and shovel for the answer(or what would have been another lie) to the man's question. Do I feel sorry for him? NOT! Caught redhanded. LOL!
If you've ever talked to foreigners most believe that the U.S. government plays its citizens like the biggest goddam fools in history. Have to agree, really. It's amazing that we've done nothing in the face of they have done.
Rumsfeld's comments about the chemical weapons suits (in the Army, we call them MOPP gear) is just plain stupid. When we go into full scale combat operations, it is standard procedure to be in MOPP Level 1 or 2. BTW, MOPP stands for "Military Oriented Protective Posture." Level 1: Pants and Shirt; Level 2: Add protective shoes; Level 3: Add mask; Level 4: Add protective gloves.
I KNOW! I was SO HOPING this guy was going to call him out on where those weapons came from in the first place!
And they were destroyed in 1991, when the troops were NOT wearing protective gear, yet ordered to blow them up! That's where Gulf War Syndrome came from, but they won't admit it!!!
yeah i love you now, FUCK THEM FUCK THEM FOR KILLING THE PEOPLE AMERICA ON 9/11 AND FUCK THEM FOR SENDING OUR TROOPS TO IRAQ TO KILLED AND TO KILL FOR FUCKING BANKERS MONEY AND FUCKING OIL FUCK THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION!!!
I love how the guy at the end of this video has to stand up and kiss Rumsfelds ass in order to try and overshadow Mcgoverns interrogation. Fuck The Bush Admin. They must pay for 9/11 and Iraq.
Note: Rumsfeld say "I'm not in the Intelligence Business", but notice he never said "I'm not in the *Central Intelligence Agency*". Strang but true people, this is how these people work. The devil is in the details. Also, why would someone need to spend time with the CIA unless they wanted gain enough collective intelligence to manipulate a situation. Unfortunately, they didn't bet on the collective intelligence of the world pwning them.
i'll take that as a yes they lied to america and the world in the name of tyranny, used the terrorist attacks on america as an excuse meanwhile neglecting the real terrorists and then have the nerve to call it "iraqi freedom" (what an evil mind game) actually what you r is sayin is rumsfeld is full of it. joel that sounds familliar, oh yes, it happened once b4 in a place called nazi germany.
americans are not stupid, if u read down u see where we talked about why they clap. they were planted, and u are not the only one aware of this photo.
Yet the man speaking and confronting Rumsfeld could be from Atlanta.
Yet CNN was started in Atlanta.
You're more worried about gays going to the prom, anyway (see video submissions) and you've obviously know nothing about Atlanta. I doubt you know much about anywhere since you still live at home with your parents.
Atlanta has a rich black heritage and, coincidentally, a large proud gay population. A room full of old white dixiecrats doesn't represent this city.
my theory on why they clap is "mob or crowd psychology" an example of bureaucratic virtuosity. they put people in the audience to clap when he has been clearly defeated, more people clap because the 1's next to them clap. people see this on tv & assume he's right (a logical fallacy). people are being programmed like robots. all i have to say is we the people have to wisen up and think for ourselves and not be influence by the nonsense. jozzmer, i'm glad you noticed that. did anyone else?
I love to watch politicians squirm!!!Fair play to Donald Rumsfeld though for letting the gut carry on!! although....Hats off to the gut asking the questions...I wonder if he ever did get a full and concise answer to his questions?
Clever propaganda, like they reanimated Goebels or something.....lucky for us, the States will fall in the coming 2 decades, mark my words. It's gonna be China-time, not that that is any better......
The few residents that did attend were pre screened to make sure they were loyal Bushies. I was outside with the protesters, my wife was inside and gave me play by play information. She said she had never seen any of the audience members before and the meeting had a cult like vibe.
Those people that are clapping for Rumsfeld are actors. When Bush came to Galveston, Tx he bussed in actors dressed in red. When Bush mentioned Tom Delay (during the scandal), everyone in attendance began to clap and cheer.
zerolizard...wow. is that not just plain ol evil? thats exactly what i was saying about the mob/crowd psychology and bureaucratic virtuosity, but i posted that even before i saw your comment. what i want to know is; what can we the informed ones do about the rest of us, being led blindly like sheep?
and no doubt the crowd was packed with neocon dupes. and people would rather pretend they werent lied to than accept that rummies gang played on the masses fear and bloodlust. im australian but this shit affects us all. we're complicit too. that ex cia guy is a legend. how blatant a plant was the asskisser afterwards ?"your passion for life"
Not much in my opinion. The neo conservatives have this country in the palm of their hand right now. They keep cutting funding for education to keep the masses stupid. They don't want you to get informed and vote.
WHAT?? Christ you are stupid! please tell me you are inbred or something, I would hate to think that there are people like you out driving at night. Where was there humor in that. And where do you think that our '14 intelligence agencies' get there intelligence? Do they just make it up? And you have still yet to put together a coherent argument. Never reproduce.
What? are you serious or just retarded. Do you read the words written hear or close your eyes and pretend to read what you want to here. You have yet to say anything relevant to subject in question. I hope everything bad in the world happens to you and nobody else. Good day to you, sir.
What?... You 'Snoop' are the worst kind of stupid. I just handed you your ass, deep-fried and dipped in chocolate and all that you can do is say that you think I have shit in my head? I am insulted, but only that I wasted my time on responding to an obvious polar-slave like yourself.
Now, in the event that the 'he' was the man in question, you do realize that he recieved millions more bits of information from the British, Iranians, Assyrians, Jordanians, the Mosad, and countless tortured prisoners that there were WMD's in Iraq. And the conclusion you came to about he hoping that the 'Iraq Fiasco' being over quickly is a pure paradox; were it to end quickly, it would not have been a fiasco. And he did not lie, but was given wrong information.
AHHH! Sentence fragment! It hurts my brain! SOOOO STUUPIDD! Who is the 'he' that you are even fucking talking about, the twelve-year-old? whys should he be flipping burgers, thats child labor. And I'm pretty sure the kid mis-led no one, and it is mean of you to call this guy's retarded friend scum. And I'm pretty sure Iraq is a war, but seeing as you can't even form a cohesive thought I dounbt you would know that.
whatever, he got called out, and i'm kind of glad he did. personally, i don't find that bickering about it via youtube is really going to accomplish much. what i would like to hear is the question that began with, "your passion for life, and your positive outlook, and your ability to deal with situations like the one over there are more than impressive..." it reminds me of that suck-up in every class during elementary school.
whatever, he got called out, and i'm kind of glad he did. personally, i don't find that bickering about it via youtube is really going to accomplish much. what i would like to hear is the question that began with, "your passion for life, and your positive outlook, and your ability to deal with situations like the one over there are more than impressive..." it reminds me of that suck-up in every class during elementary school.
everyone knew sadam had them. noone lied cliton didint lie he said the same thing back in the late 90s. he told bush that he had them! so what the fuck you guys want?
Rumsfailed is a total liar! Ray McGovern is no fool and either are the American public, they are figuring out it's all been lies! they can scrub the WH website, but thats it!
The American public are fools. See: Sanjaya Malakar. And nobody lied, except maybe the Assyrians, Saudies, and Jordanians who gave the wrong information to the American Government, but at any rate, they had WMD's at one time, as thousands of of Kurds were killed by them, they showed up on any manner of black markets, and Reagan and Clinton sold them to Saddam
"figured out" or guessed, fuck-tard. i mean, you do understand that being wrong and lying are entirely different things. the guy who won the lottery did not "figure out" the numbers, no , he guessed.
Why did ppl clap? God I can't stand America. only thing i can stand is the American people... not their government. As a country ally of theirs this stuff is really depressing because we lose people to a blanket war. Remove this terrible ppl in the government from killing more.
ellwyn u cant say that democrats fought to keep slavery because during the 1800's democrats were like the republicans of now, and reopublicans were the democrats of now, its ciompletely changed
see, the problem with you childlike bush supporters is that whenever somebody criticizes bush you guys automatically attack Hilary Clinton LOL. FUCK DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS.
Korea and Vietnam I know less about. I do know, however, that those two wars were fueled by a non-partisan fear of or stand against communism (depending on how you view it). And although both were started by Democrats, Republicans were not guilt-free either. In essence, ellwyn, to argue that Democrats are more likely to make the war worse just because they're Democrats is another unfounded argument.
WW2? Well, if ever there was a moral war to enter, WW2 is it. And historians give Truman the lion's share of credit for bringing peace, reconstruction, and prosperity back to Europe so quickly with support for the UN and the economic injection that was the Marshall Plan.
Ok, Civil War? Well, the then-Democrats really align more with today's Republicans.
WW1? We barely took part in the war--entering just before it was over. And perhaps if the Democrat President's League of Nations was accepted by the Congress (led by Republican Lodge--another proponent of American imperialist, go-it-alone mentality), then, some historians propose, WW2 may have been avoided.
It's not really "freedom of spreech", as not anyone can ask the president or the VP a question. There is a lot of screening going on, you'll notice large amounts of ass kissing questions.
no freedom of speech? anyone is free to go start their own tv station or radio station or website or newspaper. no one is stopping you. but if its YOUR business, you decide what gets put out. dont say their isnt freedom of speech because a business that wasnt yours did not want your input in their news. its THEIR business, its a free country. they dont have to put your stuff in their tv stations, radio station, newspapers, or websites. ENOUGH SAID
The major fallacy of your argument, Samiswilf, is that tv and radio stations are using public air waves. In other words, darling, that means that WE THE PEOPLE own those air waves and do indeed have a right to demand rigorous news researched and reported with INTEGRITY. Op/Ed is not news. It's op/ed. When you represent only one side of the story, it's op/ed. Not news.
gustijerino fascism is the merging of corporatism with government. We have a light variety of fascism everytime a Bush comes into power YOU fucking moron.
gustijerino we're not anti American we're anti fascist America. The wet dream and vision of The Smirking Chimp and every neocon scumbag brownshirt everywhere. Fuck you guys. We'll never be fascists you asshole.
You idiot, the word fascist has no application in this context. Just the fact that Rumsfeld is there taking ANY questions from an audience on a very delicate subject is proof that there is no fascism here. It is obvious that you have no clue of what the word means. You use it to try to sound smart. It is not working, you are a fucking moron.
the comments by the loser who said Dumsfeld was "impressive" cracked me up. Since when is lying, cheating and inventing bullshit "impressive". What a fucking douche.
As an outsider to this nation, I find it curious that for a country that professes to fight for freedom and free speech et al, that you'd throw out a journalist or inquirer from a press conference when he asks a difficult question. This only happens to Green senators in my country, whether the questions are hard or not, and sometimes they are thrown out as a precautionary measure before questions even begin.
My greatest dream is to see Rumself, Bush, Rice, Cheney, Kristol, Coulter, Hannity, Limbaugh, O'reilly, Murdoch, Ailes, E.D Hill and all the other war profiteers and 911 criminals out there to one day do the perp walk and face justice for their evil.

I take no issue with a person appreciating the culture, food, music of the country which they live in.
But love of a country, almost always means that you love whatever your country does is okay... (and besides, Idealism is a bad thing).
Patriotism often results in the subject caring more for the subject's compatriots...
I would challenge the possibility of being patriotic without being a nationalist.

I would not call you a patriot (remember, this is a compliment to you, from my side).

I'm a swede, and I do not put the well-being of swedes before any other group...

Also, for your consideration, I would argue that most people in USA who use the word patriot about themselves, do not share your definition.
If you would say: "USA is committing war-crimes" they'd call that an un-patriotic thing to say.
Therefore, you're mixing yourself with a crowd that simply does not agree with what you're saying, and this makes the word Patriot redundant.

haha i like how you can just say "no i didnt!" and people clap. 2nd graders do the same thing mr rumsfeld.

Ludacris8511 2 years ago
but if you say something is true beyond any question being full aware that you dont have al the data and take terrible desitions based on what he though it was true its not only a liar its also an irresponsible man.

You cannot have evidence for something that is non-existant.
They said that there was evidence that the Iraqi's had WMDs.
If this is true, then, using logic:
This evidence was fabricated by people who were in favour of war.

that was to prevent himself from looking worse than he already did dude. if he allowed the goon to throw that guy out (for asking perfectly reasonable questions) it would have just been an absolute given that a) he's a liar who needs goons to silence dissent and b) he's actively helping subvert free speech laws - all that AND the fact that the free speech pertained to matters of the highest importance.

GTOJudge68 4 years ago 2
I KNOW! I was SO HOPING this guy was going to call him out on where those weapons came from in the first place!
And they were destroyed in 1991, when the troops were NOT wearing protective gear, yet ordered to blow them up! That's where Gulf War Syndrome came from, but they won't admit it!!!

A room full of old white dixiecrats doesn't represent this city.

yeah, why did everyone clap when he said "i did not lie"? and that line about "they liked the style" is just plain arrogant bullshit.
jozzmer 4 years ago
my theory on why they clap is "mob or crowd psychology" an example of bureaucratic virtuosity. they put people in the audience to clap when he has been clearly defeated, more people clap because the 1's next to them clap. people see this on tv & assume he's right (a logical fallacy). people are being programmed like robots. all i have to say is we the people have to wisen up and think for ourselves and not be influence by the nonsense. jozzmer, i'm glad you noticed that. did anyone else?

zerolizard...wow. is that not just plain ol evil? thats exactly what i was saying about the mob/crowd psychology and bureaucratic virtuosity, but i posted that even before i saw your comment. what i want to know is; what can we the informed ones do about the rest of us, being led blindly like sheep?

Now, in the event that the 'he' was the man in question, you do realize that he recieved millions more bits of information from the British, Iranians, Assyrians, Jordanians, the Mosad, and countless tortured prisoners that there were WMD's in Iraq. And the conclusion you came to about he hoping that the 'Iraq Fiasco' being over quickly is a pure paradox; were it to end quickly, it would not have been a fiasco. And he did not lie, but was given wrong information.

TogoGrrl 5 years ago
WW2? Well, if ever there was a moral war to enter, WW2 is it. And historians give Truman the lion's share of credit for bringing peace, reconstruction, and prosperity back to Europe so quickly with support for the UN and the economic injection that was the Marshall Plan.
TogoGrrl 5 years ago
Ok, Civil War? Well, the then-Democrats really align more with today's Republicans.
WW1? We barely took part in the war--entering just before it was over. And perhaps if the Democrat President's League of Nations was accepted by the Congress (led by Republican Lodge--another proponent of American imperialist, go-it-alone mentality), then, some historians propose, WW2 may have been avoided.

no freedom of speech? anyone is free to go start their own tv station or radio station or website or newspaper. no one is stopping you. but if its YOUR business, you decide what gets put out. dont say their isnt freedom of speech because a business that wasnt yours did not want your input in their news. its THEIR business, its a free country. they dont have to put your stuff in their tv stations, radio station, newspapers, or websites. ENOUGH SAID
samiswilf 5 years ago
The major fallacy of your argument, Samiswilf, is that tv and radio stations are using public air waves. In other words, darling, that means that WE THE PEOPLE own those air waves and do indeed have a right to demand rigorous news researched and reported with INTEGRITY. Op/Ed is not news. It's op/ed. This only happens to Green senators in my country, whether the questions are hard or not, and sometimes they are thrown out as a precautionary measure before questions even begin.
