In Japan, many women's toilets have small electronic devices built into the walls that play white noise (usually flushing sounds) to drown out the sound of someone using the toilet. It would be perfectly normal in Japan to hear noises like this coming from a woman's toilet, but obviously in the west it would draw people's attention because it's unusual.

There's an on/off switch for this. Anyway, though I think it would attract attention (though maybe it's just the sound quality of the camera), it is handy for women who are having their monthly... "bad-days". The sound of wrappers might be embarrassing. But yeah, the sound sounds unnatural and odd.

It'd be better if it played some kind of tune. That's a happy-weird distraction =D

There is a feature on most women's toilets that emits the fake flush sound for "pee shy" folks. Silly, I know. Having that cell phone concerns me more for those times it goes off when I'm NOT in the bathroom.
