It rained about half the time but the sunny days were a joy and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the friendly and cosmopolitan people and the relaxed and happy mood. Good to see Amsterdam bathed in sunlight. Was there on New Year's Eve, 2009. Everything covered in snow, which had its own charm. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting Rembrandt's House, Begijnhof, etc.. The city has such character!  It's so alive and typically Dutch. Good 'capture' her. Well done. Enjoyed it.

wow, awesome video man ! but I just keep can't explain one thing to myself... Why do I love cloudy weather so much ? I mean Amsterdam would look fucking amazing when it's cloudy, especially in spring ! I mean all those bright greens from the trees just pop out much more and colors and everything have so much more contrast and depth... Overall I think a cloudy day brings out a cities beauty :) btw I might be going to Amsterdam this April :) any tips on good stuff to do ?

I agree the quality of this video is very good - but I've yet to see a 1280x720 video with smooth motion. If you look at the motion, it seems to not be fluid; like 30 fps. I can only get it up to 720x480 before the fluid motion dissapears. Does any one else experiance this or is it just me? Very cool video though if you want to know what Amsterdam is like.

Probably 90% or more have such a screen. Nearly all PC's can display at 1024 x 768 pixels. Recent PC's and 16:9 laptops can display 1440 x 900 pixels.

I agree that full HDTV (at 1920 x 1080 pixels)can not be displayed on most screens.

Youtube allows HDTV-ready play back at 1280 x 720 pixels. The trick is to add &fmt=22 to the end of the URL, although I have recently noticed that this does not always work, even though the uploaded file was in a HDTV format.
