Where's the PROOF in THAT? Carbon dating? There are scientists who question even the accuracy of THAT. @alphayear I didn't say what created this world that we live on. There's no proof of anything of what created the universe. I do admire your faith in god and it truely amazes me how many people actually been cured with hope but hope can easily be created with anything. Personally, I'm an Atheist. But that doesn't mean that I don't have hope either. I just simply create it myself. Maybe God is real, maybe he's not. No one knows anything yet. We're just a small part of the world.

The God I believe in does NOT want to FORCE us to believe but only to seek Him to see if he's for real. The invitation is out there...for everyone. Get Google Earth/Sky, you can look at the entire sky and see everything several telescopes have seen. Hubble, Spitzer, Galex, Chandra, plus a bunch of other stuff. I used to spend hours and hours at night just exploring it. It's amazing to say the least.

That. Was. Fu*king. AWESOME! The way it just kept zooming in revealing more and more detail as it went gradually showing what initially appeared as a random smudge in the night sky as an amazing nebula full of gigantic stars really emphasizes how small we are in the universe.

The easiest explanation of a light year is the distance light travels in a year (186,000 miles per second times the number of seconds in a year) You can do the math, but it works out to about 6 trillion milles more or less. So if 1 light year is approx 6 trillion milles, imagine the size of the universe! Most people can't wrap their mind around THAT!
