  • Isn't it weird that I have never heard this song before and I absolutely love it? The only song of theirs I have ever hears was "Roll to me", which I love! I need to go find some of their old cd's now!

  • This band is great! I wish I had discovered them soonger than I did!Something about Scottish bands... I also love Travis! The best way to discover Del Amitri is with Hatful of Rain (a best of anthology).

  • Love this song!!! Thank you so much for the upload...

  • I don't think there's a song of theirs I don't like. Have loved them the first time I heard this song about 17 years ago!

  • Always loved this song; a sad cautionary tale based on my own self-centered and stupid behavior. My college girlfriend was wonderful magic, really. I cheated because I thought it was cool, and because she trusted me and I could easily get away with it. It has been 37 years since that awful final day, and it will be at least another 37 before I forget the hurt, anguish and tears my betrayal caused her. And yes, she probably was the last to know.

  • Yes, same, and now im 39, and still single, and curse the stupidity of the day.

  • stop whining.....get over it you cunt

  • Fuck you ! you come on here to listen to music and the riducule other people ? What the fuck is wrong with you douche ?

  • band is from Scotland?

  • Yes.

  • Sounds like me.....even to the end of the song.. :(

  • I miss these guys...GREAT music !!!! I saw them four times in the Detroit area..best shows I've ever seen.

  • These guys were/are great. They deserved much more recognition in the States than they ever got. For anyone who wants to "discover" them, try the album this came from, "Change Everything". Not a bad song on the whole cd...just a great band.

  • This is very, very, VERY mono!

  • Best of scottish :-) fantastic band. Lyrics perfect.

  • Loved this song soooo much... Still sounds great!! Come back PLEASE!!

  • Del Amitri -- Always The Last To Know: Mono

  • great lyrics!!!!!!!!

  • This song has been going through my head for weeks, so thank you for having this song posted! The title alone seems fitting for so many of Life's little "surprises"...my opinion, anyway.

  • Great band why are there no comments.....I adore them.....

  • Great song, havent heard this in quite a while. Thankyou for sharing.

  • It's a great lyric. I've never forgotten this tune.

  • Great song..i think they were underrated.

  • Way underrated!

  • One of the best Del songs. Great summer song and great pop breakdown at 2:24.

"I heard you never felt so alive."

  • seriously great band

  • lovin the sids

  • Should've been a top ten hit.

  • This didnt make it into the top 10? wow, thats shocking!

  • Yeah, it didnt make it into the U.S. top 10. I like it better than 'Roll To Me', which made into the top 10.

  • great break up song, it brings many memories....

  • Massive memories, nice one.

  • Great Classic! Brings back great memories. Thankyou for posting this clip!

  • look at those hips go, huh?

  • great song.*****

  • Hadn't noticed before, but he does look a little like a clean and sobre Corey Feldman

  • " Scotlands Finest "

  • um..Scotland's Finest would definitely be Stu, Tony, Mark and Bruce, but Del amitri is second!

  • What band do these names go with ? Big Country? Thanks

  • indeed BC best band ever

  • Who? Wet wet wet? Blue Nile?

  • Is it just me, or does Justin Currie remind you of a cross between Corey Feldman, and Jeff Bridges circa: The Fabulous Baker Boys? Anyways, as for Del Amitri, they were a real cool band, and this tune in particular is excellent. I have always dug the line: "If he's cheated on you/Like I've cheated on you-uh-oh/You were the Last to Know/You were the Last to Know"...its great stuff the way he emphasizes his embarrasment, and sympathy.

  • I saw Del Amitri live in Seattle in October 1992 at the Showbox. The Gin Blossoms opened for them. The entire show absolutely rocked!! This song brings me back to those days because two weeks later I was divorcing my wife!! I was "the last to know" that she had cheated on me. Good and bad times. Good and bad memories!! Del Amitri was/is amazing. Where did they go???

  • I reckon he looks like yer on man, wat ye call him, Del Amitri i think it is :P paahaaa

  • Anyone reckon he looks like Jamie Oliver????

  • NOT AT ALL like Jamie Oliver.

  • ehh i guess i can see where you'd think that, but i don't see it too much myself.

  • This group is the best group to never make themselves a household name. All the CDs are very good.

  • underrated.....period.

  • does del amitri mean THE LAST TO KNOW in italian????

  • The name is explained in the Wikipedia article as being meaningless and selected specifically because it is meaningless. They're tired of talking about the name.

  • Got heaps of their stuff on old cassette and vinyl - saw Justin on a Music TV show the other night - looking really good!!!

  • amazing song

  • GREATNESS!!!!!!

  • a classic

  • YES! I've been looking for this video everywhere! One of the best of all time!

  • del amitri rock

  • one of the best of all time
