  • Here's a mystery -- why wasn't this a hit?

  • /watch?v=vilDJuzlKIw long live music.

  • Wow, crazy how underrated Terry is, so glad though to be aware of his stuff tho, really has enhanced my life!

  • What you think is real is nothing but an animated puppet show...Platonic forms in a song? Genius...

  • i love this version, and the remix made by nujabes

  • I wasn't feeling too good tonight and a buddy send me this song. Really helped sooth me.

  • Nujabes brought me here, and man this guy is a great singer, I love this version and I have barely heard it all =3 thank you Nujabes you open my mind to more beautiful music ;w;

  • AMEN BROTHER

  • dont let name and form abuse you!

  • nick ashford a LEGEND rip

  • Nujabes brought me here. I can't believe that I've missed out on Terry Callier for all these 18 years. This man is a genius and I find it sad that modern music is nothing compared to music of back in the days. There is no more modern soul artists like this.

    This song moves my soul.

  • 4znBoiix

Plenty of soul & jazz brilliance still around, same goes for every genre. Just turn off your damn radio & MTV

  • @TheTvrulesthenation It still isn't as widely known as it was back in the days. Yes, it will always exist but you can't deny the fact that radios still play everywhere. Walk around in a mall, you won't be hearing this beautiful stuff, you'll be hearing stupid electronic sounds that grind your ears.

  • Mid 70's Jazzy soul.

    Released on Chess Records.

He co-wrote some things for Jerry Butler.

  • Mid 70's Jazzy soul.

    Released on Chess Records.

  • @TheAudivisioner Sure this wasn't the late 60's or eraly 70's?

  • @MIKECNW

    Abouut 1973-1974 for this one.

  • same here, got curious because I listened to nujabes' version (I prefer it actually, although I love the original too). Same way I discovered Shing02. I really believe Nujabes had that extremely rare genius to understand what moves the souls, so he could find it in music genres as different as shing02 and terry callier, and show it to the masses. Thank you Nujabes.

  • Been looking for this song for YEARS, thanks to Nujabes.

    Amazing song, nonetheless.

  • Terry Callier Chills the mind better than a smoke or a beer

  • Great song, haven't heard it in years. Thank you livisoul for keeping it here. I wonder if you could help me. I've been searching for a song by Grady Tate. I've heard that it is on an album called By Special Request. The song is Follow the Path. Hopefully you or some body who appreciates music from the not too long ago might know of it. Thank You. A Terry Callier fan from the midwest.

  • class

  • whats the album of this song?

  • Love this, still remember dancing with my girlfriend in my living room to this after Argentina knocked out England of the World Cup on penalties - a sad moment! What versions are there? I've got one on a Terry Callier compilation. But I first heard it at the 100 Club about 14 years ago and remember the DJ saying that he was playing a 'version' of it, can't remember his exact words. Had a quick look round You Tube and the ones I found sound the same,

  • @Durriti66 its from turn you to love album

  • wonderful stuff :)) ktf

  • Venez découvrir sur ma chaine " scandale" de Hoppersmc

  • verry nice song, nujabes has used this song used as a sample, Rip.

  • DON TERRY CALLIER, ESTE SEÑOR SI ES UNA AUTENTICA PISTOLOTA, ESTE SEÑOR ES UN HOMBRE DE VERDAD!!

Translation. Mr Terry Callier, this guy is really oustanding, this is a real man!!

  • Que rolon tan impresionante!!!!, esta increible, gracias Nujabes por hacerme llegar aqui!!

What so incredible song!! it´s such an awsome song!!, Nujabes pointed and ui landed here, you must admire Nujabes too

  • Met Terry many years ago in Detroit. We used to play him frequently on WJZZ. He's a great guy and a wonderful performer who never experienced the success he merited. Believe it or not, he used to hang out with David Crosby in the 60's. Writing about Terry in one of his books, Crosby actually said he had no idea whatever happened to him! Of course, David was probably too stoned to remember.

  • thanks to my dolly for turning me on to this its right up there nice nice nice

  • it's KNOW MISS terry

    .

    _

    .O.

  • great! im seeing him at the Pigalle Club on the 28th!cant wait!

  • Cooooooooooooooooooooool as a cucumber in sunglasses

  • hepppaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i love it to drink some beer

  • Me again, how smooooooth is that voice??...... Even when he struggles, as he does on all his tunes :-)

Natural, one-take stuff and not manufactured.

When you've no money and no backer you have to step up and.... DO IT!!

  • There's a mix with Nujabes that sounds real hot.

  • A true classic that will never get old. April is when I would catch TERRY in the Detroit area at OCC. Great that HE chats with his fans after the show. I've only asked for two autographs in my life: one a baseball player as a kid that is long- lost, the other was Terry's that is framed.

  • TUNE!!! I can't even describe how this song makes me feel, it just speaks to my soul and makes me feel like a million dollars!

  • 1972

  • love the nujabes version too

  • this one goes out to rachel west! xxc

  • love this track on the snow patrol late night tales album

  • i like this version, but the nujabes version is really really inspirational and holds a lot of emotion. love it

  • Supergood

he's just a little freer than i heres a mystery

GOD i loev this song thank you whoever uploaded this actually i know who uploaded but thanks AWAOMEW

  • Love it!! Love It!! Takes me way back.

  • This version is sensational, but i think nujabes version was simply amazing. Inspirational.

  • Top Top Tune great post

  • Why the hate for the nujabes version? They're both amazing. Personally, I liked the way his voice matured.

  • An all time classic! Lyrically, vocally - almost perfect!

  • Nice tune but its sounds alittle like the 60s song by Donovan "Where your love like heaven".

  • jamie cullum - im all over it now like? - heard he was one of his influences

  • Thanx 4 postin wot a fantastic song such a lvly voice

  • nujabes' version...so much better...the amazing music he puts to callier's voice just..i cant even describe it...nujabes..he is the most amazing producer

  • I wouldn't call Nujabes' version better. This one is just a classic.

  • Nujabes version is markedly inferior to the original.
