You need Tilt trains for passenger rail service to Pittsburg-Phildelphia-Syracuse-New York City service. They can take those old railroad curves faster than conventional trains. High Speeds at lower costs for track inprovements. I like Scranton alot! But untill you get Amtrak, forget it. NJ Transit? forget it it's a New Jersey corporation, they don't want anything to do with Pennsylvania. That's SEPTA or Amtrak's job! Wake up, Scranton!
Yea, well get Amtrak to Syracuse and New York City. Amtrak routes are running sold out nationwide even in a recessiion it's July 2010 now. I'd like to know how many people call Amtrak for service everyday to Northeast Pennsylvania. Service to Pittsburg or Phildelphia. The air service is in a slow decline, and will be gone to small towns like Scranton.comming increases in oil will kill the air service. You need Tilt trains.
