I think they'll probably get together in the last season (which is hopefully very far away). I love the show the way it is and I agree with you FermatSim, it would ruin the dynamics!
I've never seen a series where getting two people like that together actually made it better. It just connotes desperation on the series, like having a wedding, baby, or bringing in more new characters. Hollywood refuses to admit it when a story runs out, or when they've wrung it dry. MASH was a sad example of that - it went from a dark comedy and commentary on war to "Summer Camp in Korea".
I still think they should have gotten together... they have this natural chemistry on screen, the writers have written themselves into a corner. MAKE IT HAPPEN TINA FEY!

Yes, they have chemistry, but I don't understand why everybody is so focused to see the leads of a movie or a series ending up together. Relationships between people (no matter what gender) are much more complex and rich, and I love 30 Rock for portraying a *friendship* between two intelligent, attractive, successful people.
