John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

  • @wallyofjericho there will rise up false prophets , ummm thats why God said no man Knoweth the time or hour , and his comming will be very visable

  • nice beautiful song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • shame we missed the secong comming of jesus. happened in 1844 apparently. shame it passed us by. never mind though..

  • @wallyofjericho What in the world are you talking about?

  • @getzun Daniel 8, "The vision refers to the time of the end". Using the bible's explanation of the vision, as dictated by Gabriel it describes events that have happened, exactly as told in the bible, yet no end.the man who first recognised these events as happening thought it would be the end of the world had a following of millions, some of his closest followers split off to form other religions, Jehova's whitnesses. The described events all took place, word for word in about 1844. yet no end.

  • @wallyofjericho there will rise up false prophets , ummm thats why God said no man Knoweth the time or hour , and his comming will be very visable

  • @wallyofjericho Yeah... shame is they claim it was secret, but Jesus said everyone would see it - it would be like lightening, and you wouldn't miss it!

  • when i listen this song, how love god for us.

  • I love this song! I love when we sing it in church!

  • Praise Jesus He is ALIVE!!

  • brendaphilip: There are a few words in your comments that make sense--- I`ll pray for you "-- all the rest is bs. to bolster your ego.

  • Lizazoon: "to bolster your ego". You're really reaching now. I just want you to know, there's no convincing you just like there's no convincing me. I have been praying for you that God Himself will reveal Himself to you. That's the only way you'll ever believe. Satan has already hardened your heart. Only God can break the chains and turn your stone heart to soft clay. ok, go ahead and make fun of the stuff I wrote this time too. It doesn't bother me because I am in the truth.

  • @lizazoon - So according to you we're supposed to be able to do whatever we want and God's supposed to just come in and fix all of our screw ups? Why? Why does anyone deserve anything better? If the world was perfect, what purpose would there be for a Savior? And who are you to say what God SHOULD do, and if you don't believe in God, try and prove there isn't. I think you just blame God. You expect if he's real; to be your personal genie granting your every wish, but HE's God. Not you thankfully

  • That is the most beautiful song I've ever heard.

  • lizazoon: 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 "God deliberately chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important, so that no one can ever boast in the presence of God."

  • lizazoon: The bible actually talks about people like you! In 1 Corinthians 1:19 "I will destroy human wisdom and discard their most brilliant ideas. So where does this leave scholars, and the worlds brilliant philosophers and debaters? God has made them all look foolish and shown their wisdom to be useless nonsense. Since God saw to it that the world would never find Him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save all who believe."

  • I agree, the foolish say there is no God. How many on You Tube have been told over and over again yet they just laugh and walk away.

When the Christians are taken up to heaven will they still be laughing? Or will they be weeping and crying out..Too Late!!

  • Yeah, I get your sarcasm, but you know good and well that the bible means, "supposed" foolishness that the world, or un-believers think the gospel is. The fact that you're so hostile proves that you're just a miserable person with no meaning to life. It only proves my point. There's no point arguing back and forth. Sadly, one day when you die and stand before Jesus, you'll hear, "depart from me, you cursed, I never knew you." I hope you find Jesus before that day. I'll pray for you

  • lizazoon: Wow. Here's my response to your hostility toward Christians and to YOUR creator. (Whether you believe it or not does not make it any less true.) The age old question that people like you have about "why would a good God cause suffering, etc". What do you think sending His only beloved Son to suffer and die a horrible death for YOU, only for you to scoff and reject Him says about His character. There's so much about God you haven't even tried to learn or seek.

  • In Proverbs it says, "Do not throw your pearls to swine." Just remember that. Don't get in pointless arguments with those whose opinions are not going to change. Present the gospel, and leave God to the rest. Humans can not persuade nor dissuade anything within the heart, only God calls those to him whom he chooses. God bless.

  • Never doubt the king of Heaven, ELOHIM, for he is beyond greatness, he is too perfect.

  • Did god show his love, goodness, compassion for the poor in Haiti ?

  • absolutely. he woke them up to his sin and gave hundreds of believers an opportunity to serve. Hopefully, looking at their destruction will bless us as a reminder of our fragality. and right now, he's drowning you in his unbearably powerful love.

  • christfollower4x4: I do hope that one day He will wake you up in the same way. What bullshit you are talking.

  • you know what, he has woken me up to his love. and i've absolutely fallen in love with my savior and creator. I'm not going to comment any more on this beautiful movie, but I want you to know that God has an intense love for you, and that I'm not trying to prove you wrong. I'm trying to show a little of that love to you.

  • christfollower4x4: I know what you are talking about, sir. And when you have my age, you probably will have experienced, that what you are going through now is just an illusion.

  • Comment removed

  • @lizazoon I'm not one to get involved in conversations like this, I think they're pointless, but you clearly only want to make people mad and start arguments. You're the one who needs to be awakened. Whenever anything bad like this happens, you blame God. How come you/we never blame humans? We've destroyed the earth, and yet you blame God for something that could have been caused by us and our ravaging the land, searching for oil, etc. But that doesn't work for you cuz it doesn't blame God

  • Comment removed

  • lizazoon-apparently He's not almighty or in control to you. Again, you just want to argue because you're miserable.

  • I lone the picture at 3:13 could someone please send me the link to it?

  • Amen

  • The words to this song are so beautiful. That my name is graven on his hands... I can easily visualize it....My name and others..The great High priest whose name is 'Love' has my name embedded in His hands!!...more than just a tattoo! I am forever indebted to this King who died for me! Thank you my sweet King!

  • "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf , so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" 2.Cor 5:21

  • GREAT SONG. could you please send it to me? I want to make I video like this to post on both of my pages. I've been wanting to make one for a long time but I don't know where to get a Christian song. I would really appreciate it. : ) GOD BLESS!

  • What is that throne made off ??

  • @lizazoon i think the bible actually says pure gold and it has the sea of glass flowing form it, it has 24 thrones surrouding it with 24 elders sitting on them look up Revelation when Heaven is opened to John

  • @zorrette7: Grow up !!! Make a more realistic comment, when you finish college.

  • Go and look up Revelation 4, or read up some Ellen White, you don't have to be a bible scolar to read the Bible. What religion are you?

All i was doing was posting a response, u asked a question and i responded.

  • @lizazoon

Junction 32 of the M621. Definitely that's where it's off.

  • Thank you for posting this song, one of my favorites! Be blesssed!!

  • Few songs can be considered perfect depictions of the relationship we share with our blessed Lord.... Songs like I can only Imagine, Amazing Grace and Before the throne of God Above come to mind. I owe all I am to my savior and stand in awe daily at what He did for me individually. People of the United States wake up and realize we are a blessed nation and light to all of the world. Use your remaining breath to proclaim the mighty word of God. There will come a day when every knee will bow.

  • superb song!

  • just take the glory of The living God everywhere whereever u go ( aka live for him) and we will all be on the right track lol

  • If you are looking for the meaning of life, stop looking at earthly things and lift up your face to Jesus.

  • Its not a religion its a relationship. very good quote.

    very beautiful music.

  • @SavedByGODsGrace777 - like ur name =D

  • I LOVE YOU JESUS

  • This song always brings tear to my eyes. Alleluia.

  • No, there is no sin any greater than another. Christ can and will and does forgive anyone who asks. Below him, all is worthless. There is no sin greater than any other. Sin is sin is sin. Don't rank sins, it makes it harder to love. Besides, God doesn't.

  • @Hydermard

Maybe there is no sin greater than another, but the only sin you are ever truly accountable for is not believing/having faith in Jesus. That is the deciding factor. In terms of accountability, all other sin is irrelevant.

  • I'm sorry, but you're wrong. As a christian, you're accountable for not telling people about Jesus. We're accountable for everything we do. The only difference is we've accepted forgiveness. No sin is irrelevant.

  • @Hydermard, well said. I have been trying to get this thru to people who say, "I will be ok, I haven't murdered anyone". We all sin, even in petty ways. THANK YOU Jesus, because I know that I cannot do this alone.

  • You're not alone, brother, there are believers with the message all around. The problem is when the message gets a little distorted or confused in the minds of our fellows. Stay patient and your brothers and sisters will listen to you. Even if it takes a little while. Search passages on the internet to back yourself up and leave them around. Sounds bitchy, but this is quite important. God bless, brother.

  • James 3:3-12

"3When we put its into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.

  • 6The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. 7All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, 8but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness.

  • 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? 12My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

  • Please man, if you're going to represent the name of Jesus Christ wherever you go, you must tame your tongue! Subject to popular opinion, the word "b__chy" is a curse word, and should not be said by a slave of Christ. Thanks man, take care. :)

  • There is a difference between swearing and cursing. For it to be a curse word, it's motivation must be to offend. I swear, but i do not curse. There is nothing wrong with swearing, and in fact Paul swore fairly often if you translate literally. The meanings of words change, and so it makes no sense to give power to a word. The evil lies in the motivation and the desired effect, not the word itself. Having said that, I realise that some may have been offended and for that I apologise. God bless.

  • That's why the Bible talks about building your brothers, and not taking them down. Being careful about speaking cruelly when it is not good for someone to hear it. Swearing is very useful, and is an important part of our language. I understand your argument, and it is a good one, I just respectfully disagree. Don't worry so much about the words as the meaning behind them. Someone can swear all day and save a man, and another can say the sweetest words and watch them burn their brother.

  • Proverbs says that the slap of a friend is better than honey from an enemy, for the violation is pure and what seems pure is a violation. It's all about motivation, and that verse is as linguistic as it is physical. If it takes swearing to make a point, then I won't hesitate. The point is more important. But as always, Jesus Christ is Lord of my heart, and will remain so, however I express it. God Bless.

  • what a powerful hymn! PRAISE THE LORD OUR GOD! FOREVER!

  • Praise the Lord for people like you (and you brothers and sisters in Christ who comment) to edify people like me. Jesus lives!

  • There isn't any way a universe without a Creator could produce a song so beautiful. Many thanks for sharing.

  • Oh my blessed Saviour Jesus. How can i ever thank you for what you have done for me? My blessed High Priest. i love u from the bottom of my heart. U died for a miserable wretch like me, shed your precious blood to set me free. Jesus i love u. thank you for loving me.

  • I just love it! I'm gonna sing it tomorrow night at church.

  • Sublime and inspired. Like "Be Thou My Vision," written by an Irish composer! It refreshes more deeply than a lot of the gooey "Jesus is my girlfriend" stuff out these days because it is grounded in Scripture. I never get tired of it.

  • Praise the Lord.He is worthy to be praised.

  • Praise the Lord. Great song.

  • thank you for putting this on

  • i luv this song

  • love the picture at 1:01

  • this is just one of the old songs that have a simple, but amazing message. Everytime I hear this song it fills me with love and hope just because of the message Christ is my Savior and my God and He has forgiven me for every stupid thing I have ever done. God Bless :)

  • Absolutely beautiful :)

  • awesome

  • I love this song.

  • God! I Love You!

  • This song gives me chills. The annointing is so strong.

  • I'm getting chills too. Such a beautiful song!

  • U know we can debate day and night about the existence f God etc but it will not changed a unbelievers as long as they close their heart. If their not born again, all this will be foolishness for them. It's not thru knowledge man get to know or believe in God but it's thru Faith only. How can finte being understand the Infinite Being?? Anyway God sheeps shall hear his voice. God bless u all

  • Yes I agree! You could spend your whole life debating about God, but it is not this that makes you believe, and saves you. It is experiences outside of your senses.

Even in the time of the entire existence of mankind you could not fully understand God.

  • I thank God for this wonderful inspirational music. But i must say as i follow the conversation. I wonder why we christian try to convinced unbelievers about the existance of God and Deity of Jesus Christ. Many historians (believers and unbelievers)have stated that Jesus eventually existed.

  • Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations" ,

Mark 16:15 "He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation"

I've just come from a conference where there was a talk on the parable of the ten minas (Luke 19:11-27) I encourage you to read that as well.

Please Don't give up in your evangelism I come from a completely non Christian background and I am now saved because my friend took the time to explain Jesus to me.

  • I don't mean to take away from the beauty of this video or bombard a0eoj with facts and stats and whatever. But there's no facts nessecary for me to tell you that Jesus existed and exists alongside God. If you told me you knew a girl named Angela, I'd believe you. You don't have to describe her or give me proof of her existance for me to believe you. I'm telling you, I know God. I know Jesus. I have encountered him. That proff cannot be denied. No, it's not heracy.

  • The only reason Christians seek to share the Gospel with those who do not know their Father is that He has put a Song in our hearts to do so. We remember what it was like to not know Him and how bad it sucks to not know Him. He is the greatest gift. He is our Prize. What i do not understand is where/what is the drive that atheist/agnostics/ and the like to disprove Christians and Jesus and God's existence? Where does it come from and why? Atleast Christians' outreach have an end purpose.

  • We have more reason than that for sharing the gospel, we have been commanded to , we also do it for the glory of God, and because we have compassion for people, you see, not only is knowing Jesus a great joy, the bible talks of something called hellfire that we all deserve (yes, including me), and Jesus offers a way to avoid that hellfire. I'd have to hate someone to not try and show them the way to escape the fire.

  • The answer to why they try to disprove the Truth is they love darkness. Christians and Christ expose their sin because light will always reveal darkness. They hate righteousness and want to hold to their sin. And it is true, they really do not know what they are missing, nor can they know. The veil of sin and guilt blocks the light. When Jesus plucks one out of the world, then they can know life and freedom.

  • Heres some evidence for you. Look at all the videos on youtube that have anything to do with Christianity. There i am sure you will find Non Christians and Christians debating Jesus's existence. The fact people are debating His existence itself, to me, shows how broken we are. Jesus was sent to fix this and anyone who has a relationship with Him can attest that He has changed their heart or is changing their heart in ways not possible on their own (ie. determination, mind set).

  • a0eoj- I have another question for you. Why not Christianity? If you were to full-heartedly follow Christ in which you currently don't believe? What would you lose? I know that I have a much better destiny in following Christ than wasting my life trying to disprove him.

  • I Thank You Lord, for sending You'r ONLY Son to die for us!! I love you Jesus for SACRAFISING You'r Life so I can live!!! Praise Be To The King of Kings!!!

  • see snopes (youtube is not letting me post the link)

  • Message to video creator:

The cloud image you used at 2:38 actually refers to a vulgar photo that is passed around the internet.

  • sigh...

  • Beautiful video! Praise God, He is the everlasting Saviour of the world. He came unto His own and His own received Him not. What a pity. The bonds of sin so entangle a person that many would rather cling to wickedness than come to the light of Jesus. Truth be told much rejection of Christ is simply rebellion of wanting to do things that people want, instead of obeying the Lord. Disobedience is a "god" for many. How sad. The eternal destination for disobedience IS hell.

  • Praise be to the jewish zombie. Hey let's drink his blood. Yummy

  • To a0eoj: I'm not sure why you would say this except to mock, but I challenge to actually study the evidence regarding Jesus' words, life, death, and even his resurrection. Also, study the bibliographical and historical evidence for the New Testament. I assure you that one cannot take an honest look at the evidence and easily dismiss it. I hope you will pursue the truth, and embrace it when you actually find it.

As to your "drink his blood" note: This is a metaphor. It is not literal.

  • Paintgonzo1 - Of course I was mocking; Christianity is an awful hoax. Who are you trying to fool? There isn't sufficient evidence of a historical Jesus. Contrary to your frivolous assertions, I don't see how anyone can look at the evidence, rather the lack thereof, and still believe the Christian myth.

  • a0eoj--Thanks for your reply. I hope you don't think I'm trying to be a jerk. I simply like discussion. I few questions for clarification: 1) What do you mean by hoax? That is, who is pulling hoax, and when, and why? 2) How sufficient would sufficient evidence have to be, and what part of the historical Jesus lacks this "sufficient" evidence? His life? His words? The resurrection? The New Testament? Surely you can't mean all of these, for then you're in danger of overstating your case.

  • Paintgonzo - A hoax is something intended to deceive, as in a fraud. Christianity is a fraud of the age. It serves to detach people from the natural world. It supports blind submission to authority. It reduces human responsibility to the effect that Yahweh and Jesus control everything. And in turn, awful crimes can be justified in the name of a divine pursuit. Most importantly, it empowers those who know the truth, but use the myths to manipulate and control society.

  • a0eoj: Thanks for clarifying a little. First, I'm not sure what Christianity you are referring to. It seems you are drawing an overgeneralization which is not true. When you say "Blind submission to autority," to which authroity do you refer? In addtion, what do you mean by "aweful crimes" and "in the name of divine pursuit?" I'm not trying to grasp at straws, but I want to know where you are coming from. Thanks.

  • Paintgonzo1 - Sufficient evidence of a historical Jesus would conclusively prove his existence. Christianity is merely dogma based on the Bible, which doesn't prove anything. As a matter of fact, the Bible is full of absurdities, contradictions, and awful atrocities.

The resurrection? You can't prove Jesus ever lived. It's absurd to think you could prove his supposed resurrection.

His words? A Bible, with Jesus's supposed words highlighted with red ink, doesn't mean Jesus existed.

  • a0eoj: I believe there is sufficient evidence for one to believe that Jesus lived, died, and resurrected (this discussion may take a while). We can discuss each of these in time I suppose. A few remarks though: First, it's not correct to say that Christianity is "mere dogma based on the Bible." While this may be partially correct, Christiainity is also based on history (as is the Bible). In other words, they depend on history of real events. .............

  • a0eoj: When you say "prove Jesus ever lived," do you mean prove beyond a doubt or provide reasonable evidence? The former is a very unreasonable request, for there are few things that we can"prove." The latter is quite appropriate, and it can be demonstrate, using extra-biblical sources that the Jesus in the NT was a historical person. By extra-biblical evidence, I'm referring to Philo, Josephus, Tacitus, and others. Jesus' existence is adequately documented by historians.

  • Paintgonzo1 - Sorry, but I don't have the patience to answer all your trivial questions. I will however refute your assertion that Philo, Josephus, and Tacitus provide credible evidence of a historical Jesus.

You're mistaken about Philo. The Jewish historian Philo, who lived in the first half of the 1st century, fails to mention Jesus, as do other major contemporary writers.

  • a0eoj - First, I apoloize for the Philo reference, I meant Pliny the Younger. I was attempting to recall from memory what I have studied. I do not have my notes with me, so I will look into that later. Regarding Josephus, there are at least two version of Testimonium Flavianum--Greek and Arabic. You are referring to the Greek version, which does have considerable alterations. The Arabic version, however, does not.

  • Paintgonzo1 - The Arabic version was written by Agapius the historian, a 10th-century Arabic Christian and Melkite bishop of Hierapolis Bambyce. Agapius appears to be paraphrasing, for even Josephus' title is an approximation. In addition, Agapius explicitly claims that his work was based on a lost, older Syriac chronicle by Theophilus of Edessa.

Agapius can't possibly provide credible evidence for the historicity of Jesus; it's just hearsay and 1,000 years after the supposed facts.

  • Paintgonzo1 - There are only references to Christians in the letters of Pliny the Younger; they give no specific information about the founder, the elusive Jesus. Besides that, Pliny the Younger was born after the supposed death of Jesus. Again, this is just hearsay. Perhaps you don't understand the problem with hearsay, and why it's not permitted in a court of law. If hearsay was acceptable evidence, I could just take your word for it, and believe in Jesus, just because you say he's real.

  • a0eoj - The Arabic version, while a later copy, more closely resembles what Josephus actually wrote. My point is to show that the Testimonium Flavianum, while suffering from interpolations by later Christians, is largely seen by scholars as Josephus' writing. There are arguments both for and against authenticity, but most scholars agree Josephus wrote something about Jesus. Josephus' later reference to James presuposes this. If you would like some sources on this, I can provide them.

  • a0eoj - You seem to demand that historians live in the same time period as the their subjects. This is unnecessary in the realm of history. As I said before, courts of law and courts of history are very different. Regarding Pliny, he desribes the practices of Christians and how they viewed Jesus. My point here is to show that as early the 2nd century there are numerous references, to Jesus and his followers. I'm merely attempting to show that there is evidence for his existence.

  • Paintgonzo1 - I realize this must be difficult for you to understand, as it's only the "believers" that think these references are credible evidence of a historical Jesus. You haven't provided ANY evidence that Jesus actually lived. These references that you admire simply indicate that Christian believers existed, just as they do today. In addition, these references are merely evidence that ancient Christians worshipped a Christ, and most likely a Christ that only existed in a mystical realm.

  • a0eoj - On the contrary, Tacitus specifically references Jesus as the leader of the Christian movement, for which he was executed under Pilate. You claim this is mere hearsay, but the majority of New Testament scholars (both liberal and conservative) would disagree with you. In fact, the majority of historians would disagree with your position that there is no evidence for Jesus' existence--Marcus Borg and John Domonic Crossan to name two non-Christians.

  • Paintgonzo1 - It doesn't seem as though you understand what hearsay is, nor do you seem to understand why the Tacitus reference to Jesus is mere hearsay.

Hearsay is unverifiable information acquired from another and not part of one's direct knowledge.

Since Jesus was supposedly crucified more than 20 years before Tacitus was born, it would've been impossible for Tacitus to have first-hand knowledge of Jesus. Tacitus would have relied on information he received from others - hearsay.

  • A0eoj I completely understand what you define as hearsay, but your definition does not apply to the evidence we have discussed. You personally may define these citations as hearsay, but as I said before, the weight NT and historical scholarship do not. It appears we may agree to disagree. I have appreciated our discussion, you are very knowledgable, and you have challenged me to be a better student of this issue. For that I thank you, and I give you the last word.

  • Hi. Your hearsay argument applies also to most important people in past history. Even to you in a couple of years...

Not that it would help you to discover any "non-hearsay" evidence that Jesus actually existed. You would then just dismiss him as a nice rabbi of the first century who probably died a painful death and that was it. If Christ had revealed himself to you, alive and powerful to save, to heal, to deliver and to change your life you would fall to your knees and cry. I pray he does.

  • Paintgonzo1 - Josephus lived 37-100 CE. How can he possibly provide anything but hearsay? The Antiquities of Josephus contain two references to Jesus. The text comprising the first reference to Jesus, the Testimonium Flavianum, only states that Jesus was the founder of a sect, but this verse has language not typical of Josephus. Grammatical analysis indicates significant differences with the passages that come before and after it. This Jesus reference was likely altered or added by someone else.

  • Paintgonzo1 - The second reference states that in the year 62 CE, the newly appointed high priest "convened the judges of the Sanhedrin and brought them a man called James, the brother of Jesus who was called the Christ."

Anyway, like I've already mentioned, the references supposedly made by Josephus are, at best, just hearsay and wouldn't even be allowed as evidence in a court of law, much less as evidence of a supernatural godman.

  • Paintgonzo1 - Tacitus (circa 117) refers to some people, known as Christians, and the originator of that name, Christus, had been executed when Tiberius was emperor by the order of Pontius Pilate.

It has been pointed out by experts (on both sides) there is no way to tell where Tacitus got the information for this passage, but there are hints in the passage that the information did not come from Roman records.

Anyway, this is also just heasay, and wouldn't be allowed in a court of law.

  • I find it odd that you keep referring to a "court of law." Courts of law and courts of history of very different. Sources which report of people and events within a century of their supposed occurences are very strong evidences of historicity, especially when there are multiples sources attesting to the same person or event. I'm not attempting to prove beyond all doubt that Jesus existed. I'm simply providing basic historical evidence that he did.

  • Paintgonzo1...I do not know you or your heart, but from what I have seen of your writtings you are plowing the feild for the Lord. Keep caring for people and submitting to GOD.

I have found however that evidential argument in of itself is never enough. So like Spurgeon said let the Lion loose and it will defend itself.

    Stay Blessed.

  • osiokonkwo - Thanks for your kind words. Yes, in these discussion, evidential arguments are never enough. The Spirit of God must ultimately change the heart. I appreciate your encouragement.

  • a0eoj - I say this with love. You want the existence of the Christ to be proven to you. That God walked the earth as a carpenter and laid down his life so as to reconcile his children to himself.

Dear one, this is not a cognitive exercise. Because you have obviously dealt with the material and refuse to see (Yet you read of Ceasar and believe). These are spiritual things and as far as you keep fighting the spiritual with your human arguments you will not see it.

I pray God opens ur eyes.

  • osiokonkwo - In case you couldn't tell from my writing, I'm an atheist. Not only do I deny the existence of any god, even your special sky daddy - Yahweh, I seriously doubt the existence of Jesus Christ. Hopefully you'll understand that I don't say this to be hateful, I'm simply refuting unsupported non-sense of religious people. You can pray til the cows come home, but a little evidence would be preferred. Thanks

  • I could tell from your writing that you would identify yourself as atheist. I would say u suppress the knowledge of God.

1 Cor 1: 22-25 - Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.

  • a0eoj - U spend so much time trying to disprove the King, u are not the first. U say u want evidence. You have it. You probably know the material more than some professing believers. The problem is that you continue trying to interpret it based on ur finite self and your desires and plans.

At the appointed time, he will take ur breath away and an accounting of all ur knowlegde will be demanded. What did you do with it? Stop looking for a formless, mindless deity, thats y u cnt find him.

  • osiokonkwo - I ask for evidence, and you just give me more rhetoric. In light of religious peoples' tendency to believe things without evidence, it's not surprising that you'd believe stories of a virgin birth and resurrection. As far as I'm concerned, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

If you're so persuaded by fanciful rhetoric, then why not believe the Quran or the Bhagavad Gita?

  • a0eoj - you call it rheotoric, I live and breathe this everyday. Unfortunately because of the cultural Christianity in the US, you must anticipate that I am some unread person. When I became a christian, I investigated everything and not just christianity but all major religions.

Quran - the same reason I would not go to France to learn about George Washington, I will not go to Mecca to learn of Moses.

Bhagavad Gita - is pluralistic and dies the death of 1000 qaulifications.

    CHRIST IS.

  • You're asking for evidence, signs and wonders, and miracles. But listen to what Jesus is recorded to say "And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead." 'He who has ears, let him hear...." The best mind blowing evidence you'll ever get is when and if, you allow Him to speak to your heart., so, go ahead and ask Him....the one you don't believe in...just in case you're wrong..ask Him... to show Himself to you.

  • I love this song. Sometimes it makes me cry.

  • If you but humble yourselves repent and seek the Lord Jesus Christ with your whole heart and ask Jesus Christ to be saved. To be washed clean of all your sins and a new heart established. All who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. It is a proof, a fact, that Jesus Christ is real for all who have heard the knock and opened the door. I will tell you, I have all of the proof I need, a relationship with my God. It is more certain that any scientific theory. I felt Him, I feel Him.

  • Christianity is the only belief that there is no other way but through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which you must be save (Jesus Christ). All other religions seek to make you better by having you make yourself better. Only Christianity (Jesus Christ) offers us what we can't do ourselves. I died on that cross with Christ and now I live through Him. There are many sins I could not overcome, but He overcame those sins for me. Call on the name of the Lord and thou shall be SAVED.

  • in the book of acts the man who educated paul says "if this is god, then it will disapear and be gone, but if this is god then it will endure, and i dont want to be the one waging opn war on god" and obviously its endured for over 2000 years, so what conclusion would we draw from this? ill let you do the math, its not too hard.

  • Funny, you talk about not wasting my life when I know I am doing the opposite... I wish I could speak in person to you people, you know what I mean, right?

  • so u dun deny Jesus was alive. if u do some research, u'll find that it's also a fact that his body disappeared from the tomb. it's amazing cuz:

    1. the stone was too heavy for a (normal) man to remove himself.

    2. the roman soldiers would've been killed if they allowed Jesus to escape, so over their dead bodies would they have prevented his escape.

    3. grave robbers won't be bothered to roll the stone back.

i dunno about u, but disappearing from a heavily guarded tomb sure doesn't seem normal.

  • also, Christianity is no different from other religions (IF u deny Christ & his resurrection). so ur "assault" should be on all religions. that being said, many people turn to religion cuz they find the things in the world don't make sense, & they realise & acknowledge that there is a greater order other than themselves. right or wrong, the proof is in the pudding. often many reject religion cuz they want to be god & not submit to a greater authority, God (whichever religion it may be).

  • blufenix makes a good point, im a christian and i like to think i have an educated faith rather than because i want thier to be a god. If jesus was a madman-hes done preety good to have millions of people follow him. if he wasnt god he was arguably one of the greatest men ever to of lived-and not one person has ever found his body and where he died...somthing there doesnt add up to me?
