I should know about this, because I program games, and I will create a platformer in Flash. It isn't like most amateur Flash platformer in the sense that I created "precise collision". I have the basic worked out, and it is a matter of time once I am able to get my ideas done. I will remind everyone once I got a game finished. You can anticipate it if you like.
I believe I know how the glitch happens. It is all due to the way the collision detection sets up. I suspect the collision is nothing like two "boxes" colliding with each other. I believe the collision box is virtual, meaning it is created by codes, which is also known as a bounding box. If that is true, then the reason being is, somehow, the sides of the bounding box have not detect an area of the enemy that causes collision.
Funny glitch!
