@pluggedin2u Thanks I have been practicing this one lately trying to smooth it out a little bit more and some days it feels right and others as you said is no simple feat..cheers!
I have enjoyed your videos very much. I have always wanted to play the guitar, but I am afraid that at my age (50) it is too late. Might I ask how long you have been playing? In addition, would you recommend that one begin playing on an acoustic or electric, use a pick versus fingerpick, or does it all just depend upon the type of music enjoyed? Thanks.
@yieldhog It is never too late..i have been playing sporadically since i was 15 and i too am 50 now..By all means if you dig electric guitar get one but i do think both would help when learning..The more you practice the faster you will improve that much is for certain..thanks for dropping by and enjoying the vids..all the best..Steve
@yieldhog. I feel absolute bliss and freedom when I play my guitar. I never took lessons, but learned over the years. It has nothing to do with age, and everything to do with what makes you happy and at peace. The freedom my guitar has given me, on days after an argument, a beach vacation, a promotion at work, getting FIRED from work, finding a girl, LOSING a girl, and most of all LONLINESS. Pick that fucking guitar up. You don't need to know how to play, you just need to know you can.
truly ethereal. Funny...it may not sound exactly like de Grassi's; yet I find nothing missing, in terms of what it inspires. Captures the same magic, as Alex did for me in my college years listening to Windham Hill artists friday afternoons in the computer lab typing through the late evening
...it is almost impossible to sound exactly like degrassi...for you to say you find nothing missing, in terms of what it inspires is a real compliment..
One of my all-time favorite songs for the guitar. Slow Circle is a definite Desert Island Disc. You played it beautifully. Simple and elegant. Thank you!
Thanks Carlos :) I have to agree with you about that desert island disc. All of Alex's albums are incredible but his first two are on my desert island list. I can almost play all the songs on his first two discs. I will never play them as well as he does but its more for enjoyment, 100% emulation is not possible. Thanks again for your kind comment.
It is a pleasure listening to your interpretation of Degrassi's "Causeway" No simple feat my man, excellent performance.
