I HAVE A QUESTION????, ive heard that the best paso finos are from Colombia,, and then after colombians are the puerto ricans, and that the peruvians are not that elegant,, is this true? ive only seen colombian paso finos, so i woulnt be able to tell the difference,,

Colombian or Puerto Rican... There are good and not so good in both breeds. Colombian Pasos tend to be bigger & beefier physically and solid in color. Puerto Rican Pasos tend to be smaller and more color variations with white blaze on head and white legs, although they also do come in solid colors. Both can gait very fast and both have tons of "Brio". Both are very good breeds of Paso Finos.

the true paso fino is a combination of puerto rican pure fino mares with colombian stallions. the colombian are faster thant the puerto ricans but there gait is more trochado and the puerto rican are true paso finos . the peruvian is a hole different gait that evolved from different acestors.

yes i do believe its true i ride paso fino and then i rode a peruvian paso....i like paso finos better. peruvian stick out their legs in this wierd way. idk i think that paso finos are better

That gait is natural for Paso Finos. It's only been more collected for the show ring... no different than how you would collect a horse for dressage.

It comes naturally to the horse, so yes, I would consider it pretty.

they are bred to take short quick steps, then further trained and conditioned for quicker shorter steps without losing the proper gait. That horse is fabulous!!!

it isnt awful.... its a natural gait for a Paso Fino but just refined
