Other people think it was was over the top or whatever, but I honestly think y'all took the song and made it your own --- which is what should be done with a covered song. If you sing it the original way, you might as well let the original play.

Both of you are very talented! As for the cover, I think you try and do too much with it. It's one of those songs where the lyrics and simplistic melody carry the song. That being said you are young musicians trying things out and making music so more power to you! Sounded good, but remember you don't have to throw everything into one song, save some of the embellishments for the other songs we hope you put up in the future.
