@liger281 D, B, E, A times... a lot, then comes along the solo, which is something like: B, A, G#, E, A, G#, F#, E, B, A, G# E, the solo part is followed by: A, D, E, G, after a short break hit the open A, then strum the D a couple of times and then just repeat the riff again, NOTE: This is not exactly how this guy is playing it, but should get you started

its personal preference dont give people a hard time not everyone has been playing for 14 years. its good for starting and if your good with it you can stick with it. Mikey from MCR plays with a pick. Chris squier from yes plays with a pick, flea, justin chancellor from tool. it doesn't mean you suck its personal preference tone and experience. i use both and alternate in my bands song when i want and when i play cover by my self i use what the bassist from the band im covering's technique
