Those first season episodes were so good. I was only three when it first came on originally. These were some sad episodes. Especially where Cissy thought Uncle Bill didn't want her. Another sad one was the one where Aunt Fran wanted Buffy back and they were going to be seperated again. That part where Jody gives her a picture of himself was very sad.
Anissa always looked intelligent and soulful to me. She played her character, (as an orphan) well, perhaps maybe due to her real life sadness from a lack of receiving the love she needed.
Those beautiful kids were really good actors - real tears and all- they dont make them like this anymore- its out on dvdv now - i wanna get them- havent seen this show since it ran in the 60's !
This is one of the BEST tv shows of ALL TIME. As a kid, I watched it faithfully every season, 1966-1971.
The writing and acting were sensitive, caring and intelligent. The show had a sophisticated air to it, the East 63rd Street Manhattan apartment near Central Park, Mr. French the "gentleman's gentleman", Uncle Bill the successful engineer and a very understanding and loving Uncle. And the three kids were adorable and had respect for adults. A great show.
@68lincoln yes man, i am in accordance with you. Very nice show. For new people they must put in tv again this program.I am from Guadalajara. Greeting for every body !
