hey guys, this is david douglas. i just wanted to let everyone know that we lost a good friend recently. i just got word that garry waugh past away last week. he was a friend and a team mate. if you want to offer condolences send them here.
Nice video. I don't think people realize that DD, Chat, Carmichael, Jimmy Pham, Valera and other guys that aren't on the circuit anymore are who changed NASKA and helped pioneer XMA
Yo, FFmaxx, how is David's acting career going. I trained with him a little back in 98 and I remember him being a cool guy. I hope he's doing well out there. If you know, post it up. Thanks.
You mean he got it from Mike Chat. Alot of fun to watch. I wish people were more creative like him in respect to XMA. If you aren't going to do real MA then at least do it well. Props to David.
Gotta disagree. MUCH respect and props to Mike Chat, but he and David are different animals. David Douglas laid the groundwork for what has become modern forms competition, while Mike Chaturantubut pretty much maxed out more traditional style, combat oriented forms competition, with ultra - clean technique tho. Props to them both.
It's to bad he's not on the scene any more. He was fun to watch and a great martial artist.
