The Quran specifically says a Muslim's duty is to convert, subjugate or kill the non-believers by means of holy war if necessary. Please read Sura 9, it is one of the explicit core teachings of the Quran. Hadith and the Sharia add another level of such holy duties to Islam believers that are Muslims.

I used to be a Muslim. I converted out of the deen. As I grew up I always knew there was only one Creator, but as I got older and studied the Koran and hadiths I came to realize there were some glaring errors and mistakes in using them to guide my life.
according to Islam i am allowed to beat my wife.

@lanaaw1 Yeah, no. I read the Quran in Arabic form every day, and I have read on several occasions english translations, if only to see whether or not they have been modified, which they have not, giving no excuse to America's insolence when it comes to Islam.
I have the english translation of the Quran by my side, bought from WHSmiths for a fiver, and there are plenty of sites where you can read the quran in english for free.
I respect all religions, why the fuck can't you do the same?
