Truly magnificent. What is so gratifying is that Child got to see this bequest of hers a reality while she was alive.
Another organization (I forget who) received her knife collection. All 500 of them. Think about it: who owns 500 knives?!

you know whats cool is i went to see the movie "Julie & Julia" today and it had this kitchen at the end its a great moive i recommend it.

Thanks for posting this. I had heard about Julia's kitchen at the Smithsonian but have never seen it.

How wonderful. I used to watch her shows too. She was so much fun! And she had a stainless steel oven before it was en vogue.
