Lou Dobbs talks as if he's always supported amnesty, which is not true, because he's been the voice of the opposition to amnesty.

Calling it "a pathway to citizenship" and a "humane immigration policy" is amnesty, no matter how much you sugar coat it.

If Lou Dobbs always supported amnesty under certain conditions, I certainly missed him saying that, as did millions of others.

What would possess Lou Dobbs to turn 180 degrees on this issue is beyond me. Does anyone have any ideas?

Lou Dobbs was equivocating. His "rational, effective, humane" immigration policy apparently DOES include amnesty for illegal aliens. I never heard him endorse amnesty of ANY illegal aliens on his TV show. Now, if he said, they would have to leave our country and get in line to become a citizen, that's different--but he never qualified who or how he wanted to grant legalilzation of illegals. Apparently, the shooting at his house got to him and he's backing off on his previous stance.

The fact is, when anyone enters the US illegally, they are then a criminal in this country. When they steal an American ID, which they have to do to stay, they have then commited a felony.
