@BecomingPhill I've actually emailed Keita directly and spoken to him about the topic. According to him how work isn't even about the physical appearance of the Ancient Egyptians. If you would like to read some of his email responses I will share them with you.

@eradon23 Keita is a serious scientist. He gives objective statements on issues he feels are conclusive and acknowledges when an issue is not conclusive. There is absolutely nothing Eurocentric about what he is saying. I think supporters of a Black Egypt get frustrated when they listen to Keita because they expect him to be more direct about the racial question. I don't think you understand that Keita is trying to deconstruct racial thinking itself on the subject. Listen to him carefully.

@PharaohMentuhotep I agree in what you are saying about his agenda. However I think he needs to put aside his agenda & present the facts in a straightforward way. He says the phenotype is exactly like that found in Southern Egypt, and Southern Egypt is 100% black. There is nothing wrong with being direct in meaning instead of trying to be cryptic. I think he may do this so as not to give white "scholars" fodder to fire against his scholarship but sometimes you need to put it out there as it is.

For instance he says things like "the phenotype are like those found in Southern Egypt". If you ever have gone to egypt you will know that Southern Egyptians are black. Just look up the made up word "nubian". I say made up because in antiquity during the time of ancient egypt the term nubian did not exist.
