Flair is a double-edged sword: a legendary worker who should rightfully be admired for his career AND the personification of what poor planning, bad money management, selfish behavior, and trying to live in the fast lane long after you couldn't afford it will do to you. Shane is generally a self promoter and often times comes off as a whiner but this might have been his best shoot on Flair ever. It might be age or a general "mellowing" of his personality but this one, of all the promos he's cut on Flair, is the most powerful. Maybe it's because Flair has buried himself so deep on his own but this promo just seemed pretty solid.

I am STILL learning so much about how to book. But the event I was trying to put together was just some conference. At the time Tully was only speaking and not wrestling. I wanted to do a few Christian wrestlers together and Tully sh*t on it pretty much. Its kinda funny to me now.

I was a huge Ric Flair fan myself, and hearing all of the things people say about him and the way he talks about other people really does make me sad and made me stop being a fan of his. Same thing with Hogan.
There are many wrestlers who have stories just like this when it comes to Flair - They can't all be lying or have some sort of grudge agaonst him . . . It ist is no secret about his many failed marraiges and his problems with alcohol. Douglas may dislike Flair - But if he's lying, why hasn't the old hack sued him. And managing a business is pretty honorable work. At least he's working and not still trying to take bumps while stinking up an arena - And burying young talent whenever he can..

Douglas has tried making a career out of talking shit about of Ric Flair. 90% of his ECW promos were about Flair bashing. There is no comparison between the two. Although Shane sometimes comes across as bitter i agree with everything he says in this interview. Flair was the measuring stick but he really has tarnished his legacy. I thought towards the end of his WWE tenure he was becoming embarassing but the send off kind of gave him some closure and i thought it was the perfect end to a great career. Yet through bad choices and a refusal to give it up he's done irreperable damage to his legacy

Shane is generally a self promoter and often times comes off as a whiner but this might have been his best shoot on Flair ever. It might be age or a general "mellowing" of his personality but this one, of all the promos he's cut on Flair, is the most powerful. Maybe it's because Flair has buried himself so deep on his own but this promo just seemed pretty solid.

I am STILL learning so much about how to book. But the event I was trying to put together was just some conference. At the time Tully was only speaking and not wrestling. I wanted to do a few Christian wrestlers together and Tully sh*t on it pretty much. Its kinda funny to me now.

@NaughtybyNaitcha There's a few others that got stories about Flair, like Scott Steiner.... hell Lance Storm even mentioned that he thought Flair tried to purposely not let Steiner rise as a star. Hell, Flair being put over Jay Lethal was another example.
