I find it funny when people who try and claim objectivity start spouting opinions as if they are authoritative on anything. It is more specious than anything else.
Mormon's believe in Jesus Christ, and that He is their savior.
By every practical definition, they're Christians. The godhead is different, albeit much more logical in every way. Or, did God come down to impregnate himself, so that he could give birth to himself, and then die, to resurrect himself? Not to mention the multiple verses where Christ is talking to his father. The LDS godhead makes significantly more sense.
@Ownfir Christians believe CHRIST is GOD and allways has been ,satan was created angel ,created by CHRIST ,if you move left or right of that position ,your no Christian
thats a conclusion not an argument ,go ahead though ,take your best shot ,i know your religion better than you do ,and I am still a Christian ,watch me furfil my Biblical obligation ,to tear down spiritual strongholds ,and i have become very efficient by the grace of GOD
no bother brother ,may i recomend a good video series here on youtube ,"know your enemy" you do have to watch it from part 2 onwards or it wont make sense ,God go with you on your journey
@humanistheart I've seen your videos and they say all the things mormons are supposed to say to the public. BUT your beliefs are based on secrecy and half truths. I've dug beneath the surface. And what you believe in is a house of cards on a windy day.
@sinnspenn "BUT your beliefs are based on secrecy and half truths."\\Yeah, you obviosuly haven't seen my video's if you think I'm a mormon, or have beliefs of any kind.
Ed is a mormon - and therefore believes that his works can save him... Maybe faith alone can save you right? Faith without work works is dead? I kid I kid! Sincerely your anti Mormon pastor.
so @4:15 you went into debt to propose a hateful "christian" message. was Christ responsible for the crusades because they had crusicks on their shields. People trying to learn about Mormonism should look on the related videos on the right to see this is a group of related hateful videos to promote one opinion of hate towards Mormon. I'm not going to the LDS.org to learn what it's about but I stopped at 4:15 when this ignorant WWF mullet fk will never ever understand.
Both parties are very insensitive. A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still. Too bad that even the presentor does not seem to understand that.
This blonde haired guy is a total piece of shit, no doubt. He's only submitting himself to Jesus so he can go around sinning as much as he wants without fear of punishment.
"And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began." (John 17:5).
Everything was created through Jesus, because Jesus is God, as gospel of John explains in chapter 1:1-3, 14 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being." "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us..."
@chanses2 "Everything was created through Jesus, because Jesus is God, as gospel of John explains in chapter 1:1-3, 14 -"
Funny how only the latest gospel to be written says that. You'd think if that was true that that info would be included in the earlier gospels. This is how legends and myths are created, the stories get bigger and more ridiculous with each telling.
@humanistheart Have you ever encountered codex Sinaiticus, written about 350 A.D.? Goggle it. You can read directly from it on a webpage.
That is one of 5000 copies of the original-language texts. If you let what has been uncovered from very early - all the copies that one can compare - then you would know better and not be as ignorant about it. Just go ahead and learn about it. Don't take my word for it, investigate, or you deprive yourself of the truth.
@chanses2 Nothing you wrote had any relevance to the previous comments. Also, I have a minor on the topic, what do you have? Yet you have the nerve to call me ignorant? Why don't you go get an education, at the very least you might learn the concept of relevance.
@humanistheart What do you mean? Honestly, I don't understand what comment you refer to, because I've been busy elsewhere, so do excuse me, also if I didn't understand you right from the beginning.
@humanistheart Aha! Well... that's for you to find out, There are more than 24,000 partial and complete manuscript copies of the New Testament. These manuscript copies are very ancient and they are available for inspection now. There are also some 86,000 quotations from the early church fathers and several thousand Lectionaries (church-service books containing Scripture quotations used in the early centuries of Christianity).
@humanistheart (1) I don't know where you come from, but you surely are persisten to apply any kind of measure to prove your unhistorically and unBiblically faith. The book of Mormon is invented. There are more than 24,000 partial and complete manuscript copies of the New Testament. These manuscript copies are very ancient, some even date 200 A.D. There never was any kind of mormonism in early Church history. The book of Mormon has huge plagiarisms. - (Continuing to 2)
@humanistheart (2) If the book of Mormon is inspired by God (Joseph receiving one word at the time) then why has it undergone 3,913 changes from 1830, correcting mistakes like misspellings and flawed grammar? This cannot be a book inspired by God. The 24,000 partial and complete manuscript copies of the New Testament show no single thread of RELEVANCE to the book of Mormon, whatsoever. he original-language texts of koine Greek and Hebrew has never had a reason to be changed. (Continuing to 3)
@chanses2 If the bibles were inspired by 'god' why are there so many errors? Jericho didn't fall to the hebrews, it fell hundreds of years before they existed. They were never enslaved in egypt, the cencus of the NT never occurred and so on. So what?
@humanistheart (1) Atheist questions, and yes, everyone is entitled to question the Jews' faith, as the Christians' faith. Well there are many things archaeology have uncovered that prove what is in the gospel is true, take look at what is said on this in this: "Differences Between Mormonism and Biblical Christianity, by Ron Rhodes". I know about this you question, a few things that are strange. In wikipedia we read this, the cencus is recorded by historian Josephus. Continues to 2.
@chanses2 No archeology is at odds with the bibles. Jericho didn't fall to the hebrews, it fell hundreds of years before they existed. They were never enslaved in egypt, the cencus of the NT never occurred and so on. So what? As for josephus, if you think that's true, by all means provide a source.
@humanistheart (2) If over 25 000 discoveries made prove the Bible true, then some few questions will make one question the Bible, what is the next thing you will cling to in order to feel safe in your book of Mormon? Every word I write your faith taint as false, no matter what truth lies behind my word, no matter what correct source I bring them from. I can bring up Jericho, and so on and on, but because of your "prejudiced set" you will never look into the matter for yourself. Continues to 3.
@humanistheart (3) All you do is taking a rigid stand that won't change no matter what proof there is that will demolish your faith. If you were raised up in it, all the worse. I am not blue-eyed, I questined Christendom from the start, even when believing in Jesus, I wanted to be sure, and there were times when I saw these things you mention, that I had doubts, but soon I found answers, and yes... not all things are yet confirmed, but some have been confirmed lately, continue to 3
@humanistheart (3) I you were to research the evidence that are proving the BIble, and what huge non-evidence there are disproving the book of Mormon, you will find out for yourself, and don't deprive yourself this reasearch if you really want to know the truth. I write this out of concern for you, why else would I do it? I'm not out to argue my own faith, that would be immature. If you want facts, don't remain in that enclosed environment, use your mind, don't be close-minded, Continues to 4
@chanses2 As for mormons, their religion is as false as yours, but at least theirs hasn't led them to commit any mass genocides or infanticides, and regardless of your opinion, by definition they qualify as christians.
@humanistheart Hoptitudle-what? It's the heresy of Roman Catholic and Protestant Church that were connected and corrupted by political power that did these horrors. Jesus said we shall love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Anyone doing killings and horrors are absolutely in the wrong as one can be. The first Christians, before the corruption (and even persecution of those who believed in Christ) of the Roman Church, those who preached the gospel never used violence.
@chanses2 Yes he did say love your enemies, but he treated his badly. Insults, hissy fits, physical violence. Should you do as jesus said or as he did?
Anyway, back to the topic, mormons are christians by definition.
@humanistheart Perhaps you interpret his reaction wrongly, out of the connection - because, if you love your child, you correct it firmly, no fysical violence, but corrections, and if you want to make someone listen to you, and make them hear what you think of them in their ignorace and blown-up haughtyness, greedy mind, don't you tell them with authority and a wake-up-call voice?
If one picks out these corrections Jesus did, and use them, and solely them, to tell how Jesus was, then what?
@chanses2 Physical violence, cursing, rudeness to friends followers and enemies. Its no wonder Christians are such bad people when you follow a bad fictional character.
@humanistheart Your lies don't make you credit, and being offencive in that unimaginably ignorant and narrow-minded way - just for the sake of argument, and having deluded fun - won't make you any funnier or more smart, rather the opposite, so I'll block you just to be on the safe side, since one cannot be safe enough where jammed imagination takes no prisoner among the elit of your kind, and I don't mean to be offencive, I'm just spelling it how it is. Peace out... whatever...
@chanses2 "and I don't mean to be offensive" ROLF Yep, your definitely a christian. Lie, insult, be evil, then say you love people or don't want to offend. LOL
@humanistheart Your interpretation of my words are way off the scale, are you a very sensitive guy- I never wrote that you personally is narrow-minded, just that you are being, and we all can be that once in a while, but if you were hurted by this truth, as with the truth that you are an atheist (jammed imagination), I do understand your disposition a bit, but don't get upset over the nature in mankind, we are all filled with flaws, that's part of being humans, we need just point that out.
@humanistheart Well, sometimes I do make mistakes, this is not my native language. Still, you do seem awfully full of yourself, if you do the eye rolling, as if you aren't ignorant in this case regarding Christendom. How many history books have you read on the subject? This I ask because you make assumptions out of what the politically corrupted, anti-Semitic and evil Roman Catholic did, and we add the Protestant to the equation. Do your homework, do it thoroughly. Peace out.
@humanistheart What? You presume something out of nothing, to me it seems you argue for the sake of argueing, and say you have an education on the topic, man... you really didn't do your homework, perhaps you slept through the lessons, or selected some info but disregarded the rest, since your view doesn't include what other sources have to tell, which many books don't take in, since authors often select and put in their views as well. Do your homework thoroughly!
@humanistheart So, you're really emotional and out to argue for the sake of argueing, aren't you?
Some people haven't seen both sides, and I KNOW why you reason the way you do, because I've been there, too, and that's a normal thing, so don't get upset because of it, just think of it as a part of growing up. Sadly, some people, (I'm not mentioning anyone) stay prejudice and selective of history till they die, like those who don't believe in the Holocaust. Don't you think it's so?
@humanistheart Do you believe the holocaust happened? The evidence is overwhelming, as is the evidence for the Bible (for example) "home (dot) earthlink (dot) net /~ronrhodes / Manuscript (dot) html
@humanistheart That's your view, and you have the right to think so, but, as long as you care not to examin the evidence, which I've told you about in your inbox, you do seem somewhat unreliable, but hey! What do I know? Honesty, reliability and sincerity are thrown out of the window, it seems. Thanks for your "honest" reply.
@humanistheart Why would anyone believe you? You have no authority in archaeology or history. Your words weigh nothing in the view of all the 25,000 archaeological evidence on the Biblical history, no matter how much you repeat yourself.
In this case, opposing words are like leafs in a hurricane, they easily vanish from the scene.
@humanistheart Various evangelical groups have "re-written" the definition of Christian. In the definition amongst themselves, you MUST accept the TRINITY as the Nature of God. If you accept God the Father and Jesus Christ as two separate beings (literal Father and Son), you are not considered Christian.
(The current concept of the Trinity is the outcome of a vote that happened hundreds of years after Christ in the council of Nicea).
@humanistheart (4) If you state that there are many errors in the Bible, then you actually circle around the 25,000 archaeological discoveries proving it error-free to a high extent, and you also dismiss the 24,000 copies I mentioned before, all of which are divinely harmonious in content, some of them date A.D. 200. Were's the many errors if you take these facts into account? Also, church history has no record of any mommonism. I'm afraid, friend, someone has lied to you. Cont to 5.
@humanistheart (5) This your "so what?" is no longer valid, not in the eyes of archaeology, not in the eyes of the 24,000 copies, it's the other way around, actually, as archaeology disproves the book of Mormon, and the map that Joseph made looks like a land that has never existed, and has never existed. Archaeology and other correct maps brings that flawed map to fairy tale. There's no way you can get out of this your enclosed mindset of delusions, other than: INVESTIGATE. Peace out.
@humanistheart (3) RELEVANCE is the matter at heart, because what can you trust, the solid uncorrupted word of God, or the changed book of Mormons that has had to be corrected 3,913 in spelling and grammar and adding words ever since 1830? If Joseph Smith was revealed the word of God, wouldn't that be perfect as God is perfect, which he shows in the Torah and the 24.000 partial and complete manuscript copies? This kind of RELEVANCE you try to claim is just UNBELIEVABLY RIDICULOUS. I dare you.
See, what you have to realize is that you perspective does exist withing the church. That's not to say its the only perspective.
How do you know who is who? Well the strongest evidence comes from their own perspective. That is by what they notice and how they judge others and what they point out.
@humanistheart if you belive in jesus christ then you belive in the old testemate and the new testamate of the bible and if you belive in those you belive that the bible is the true perfect word of god , and there is no need for the book of mormon, so therefore they are not christian
@TheSoulamore Well the mormon / christian bit implies it's a debate between Christians and Mormons, which would be a false implication as Mormons are christians.
@humanistheart or you can just point to the fact that Mormons believe that "one of the most fallacious doctrines, originated by Satan and propounded by man is that man is saved alone by the grace of god and that belief in Jesus Christ alone is all that is needed for salvation." which is a quote from an LDS prophet and president named Spencer Kimball and also a COMPLETE ANTITHESIS for what DEFINES Christians and separates them from the rest of the world, including but not limited to... mormons.
@humanistheart well apparently your not that bright or not very educated on what your arguing about. arguing that Jesus isn't god but that he was Christ without knowing what Christ means, for instance. and absolutely not true is your statement that some Christians believe the bible wasn't written by Jesus and therefore could be flawed? nope, not really. if the bible had an acceptable margin for error than Jesus' entire story would be in question. not a very christian view.
@jaquematesmusic 1) I in fact have a minor in religious studies, among other sources. It's not near a major, but it's considerably more than the vast majority of americans.
"but that he was Christ without knowing what Christ means" You obviously don't know what christ means or you wouldn't call jesus one. Christ is a translation of what we know as messiah. To be a messiah one must fulfill the messianic prophicies, which jesus did not do.
@jaquematesmusic "and absolutely not true is your statement that some Christians believe the bible wasn't written by Jesus and therefore could be flawed?"
It certianly is true, and you have no bases to say otherwise other than your own pathetic beliefs.
@humanistheart ...no.... Christians by definition are people who believe that Jesus was God on earth .The same God who's self proclamations were that He was the alpha and omega, beginning and the end, there was nothing before Him and there will be nothing after Him, and that there are no other gods, period. It's monotheistic. Mormons on the other hand think that Elohim, A god, had physical sexual intercourse with Mary thru Adam producing Jesus, A god, who's brother is also Satan, yada yada yada
@jaquematesmusic No, Christians by definition believe jesus was the christ. The bit about god varies from denomination to denomination. I have a video on it that explains it, I'd suggest you watch.
@humanistheart OK let me make it a little clearer. CHRISTIANS believe that CHRIST told the TRUTH 100% of the time...... being that he was sinless and all that. CHRIST himself said he was God, so regardless of "denomination", he WAS God, or he was a liar, or he was crazy. There's no middle ground, there's no two ways about it. Don't need the youtube video, I actually took the time to read the book. I'll take Jesus' Word over an internet video all day any day. But that's just me...........
@jaquematesmusic 1) "CHRIST himself said he was God," If by christ you mean jesus, which is itself a lie since he fulfilled no messianic prophecies, you have no bases for that. Some Christians believe their bible is the perfect word of god, others accept it was not written by jesus and is subject to error.
@jaquematesmusic 2) Either way, the definition of christian is one who believes jesus is the CHRIST, thus christian, not one who believes he was some kind of god. Mormons believe he was the christ thus they're christian by definition.
"I'll take Jesus' Word over an internet video" If you have jesus's word by all means publish it. Although how you got it when 2000 years have gone by and no one ever had it before is quite a mystery. lol
@humanistheart The Jesus you believe in is NOT the same Jesus that I, as a Christian, believes in. So Mormons can use the name Jesus Christ as much as they like in their name but that does not automatically make them Christians. I can put the prefix "Dr." in front of my name as much as I like but that does not make me a doctor. I will say this, using the word "Christ" does make someone a Christian "by definition" as far as NON-CHRISTIANS are concerned. But to actual Christians, it does not.
@renegade1alpha I don't believe in any jesus. There is little evidence to suggest a jesus ever lived, and none to suggest what kind of person he was. What we can say for sure is the biblical jesus did not exist at all.
"but that does not automatically make them Christians"
They believe jesus was the christ, which is the definition of CHRISTian. See my video for an explanation, it would be easier than continually correcting you.
@humanistheart I find it laughable that you argue that fact that someone does NOT exist. I know Santa Claus does not exist but I won't argue it with someone that does. As for them believing in Christ, as I have said they do not believe in the same Christ I believe in. If you know someone with the same name that I do that does not mean we are talking about the same person. They can be two entirely different people. Their version and definition of Christ is different than mine. That is my point.
@humanistheart I will let you have the last word as I would with any child or person who is too stupid or ignorant to understand grasp what I am saying. Besides, because you are not of any faith whatsoever, your argument or definition on Christianity holds no validity and is therefore a moot point. It would be like a doctor arguing medicine with a mechanic. I have more respect for Mormons and what they believe. At least they have some basis to argue from.
@renegade1alpha "your argument or definition on Christianity holds no validity "
It's not my definition of christianity, it's the standard definition used in all religion class'. It's THE definition of Christianity.
"It would be like a doctor arguing medicine with a mechanic"
A false analogy. You assume that if someone is not of faith their opinion, or any facts they have, are not valid, when in reality atheists have far more education than theists on the average.
"Jesus said, "Have you found the beginning, then, that you are looking for the end? You see, the end will be where the beginning is.Congratulations to the one who stands at the beginning: that one will know the end and will not taste death." - Jesus from the Gospel of Thomas
You can believe that Jesus is God, but this verse does not explicitly say it. Personally I think "son of God" had a different meaning in the time of Jesus.
Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.
Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
...thats the dumbest thing i heard "a math teacher should put down the book and teach about sparrows" yeeee...no, a math teacher should teach math, thats their specialty while a biology teacher maybe should teach about sparrows...that was a horrible example but anyway go on.
This wasn't a very skilled or compelling debate. Ed on the phone dug himself into a hole so deep he had no hope. But Mr. "I don't wear costumes" was way too busy explaining the explicit reasons he conscientiously chooses to wear what he wears and does his hair the way he does. I think he looks cool, and I think he bested Ed, but he takes himself way to seriously at least in this clip. But hey, don't we all do this from time to time?
I have a very narrow understanding of the world around me. I'm not allowed to make any decisions without consulting a leader in my church (Bishop, Husband, et al.),I believe that anyone who disagrees with me is against me, and I am convinced the world is flat because I prayed about it. And I'm a Mormon.
This guy screams porno star. Shirt unbuttoned, does this guy think he is Hasslehoff or something? LMMFAO!!! This guy was in a porno called "Polygamy The Orgy" LOL.
i cannot get over the fact that this videoseems like one bad child shouting out the faults of another bad child.. ie one charlatan out shouting another charlatan
@Swizzik Destroyed the argument, how? They were both in the argument so how is the argument destroyed? I guess there argument is void on both sides. I am an atheist and both of them are ignorant and I smart they both dumb. Oops looks like me ignorant cause I do not believe in anything they are both saying. Wow look how this argument just got turned around. Me win, me destroyed both arguments. LULZ
Jeremiah 14.14 Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.
I have studied faith for 10 yrs. Mormonism is the biggest cult ponzy scam to hit the US since Jehovah witness. Either 144,000 angels or the world is going to end in 1914. It's all a scam.
I'm just astonished that it is so clear to Xians that Mormonism is bunk, but they are oblivious to the flaws in their own beliefs! The Bible is an historical fraud. There was no Abraham, Moses and certainly no Adam and Eve. The New Testament is even MORE bull! The story of people coming back to life when Jesus died should be documented by other sources (Matthew 27:51). But even Paul, who went to talk with Peter, didn't write about all the people he met who were dead and came back alive. ???
@TubeNumber1USA "Were you there?" - You obviously don't know how ridiculous that question is. First of all, the person who claims there was an Abraham is the one who has to provide the evidence...and there is none. If you can't grasp that fact, then you are in the class of people who are completely oblivious to reason.
"Prove Homer existed." - Believing in the evidence for Homer doesn't require me to accept any of the lies about salvation if you believe in Jeebus.
@TubeNumber1USA "The Bible proves itself to be God's written word - by presenting roughly 3,000 prophecies - that have been fulfilled to the letter. " No they aren't! Jesus! There isn't a SINGLE prophecy that has been "fulfilled". There is NO EVIDENCE for any resurrection. NONE. Every mystical claim of the bible is ABSOLUTELY DEVOID of evidence. Give us some, if you have it, but you will be completely silent on evidence that can be tested and that's why you are part of the liars of Xianty.
The argument presented from 2:45 to 3:10 is particularly insightful. Now, just plug in atheist for the criticizer and Christian for the criticizee, and see that the truth is still there.
There are lots of Selfrighteous Mormons in this channel, judging Shawn for admitting his sins, at least he has them big to admit them, and lets the Lord take care of those sins, Hey mormons! keep going to your temple, give your 10% become a high priest! wait? Jesus is the High priest! and do all of those things, maybe you'll be righteous enough to earn KOLOB. lol
The Men in the OT had many wives, but they didn't get them to become gods. The only men who become Gods, even the songs of God, are those who enter into polygamy Journal of Discourses Vol 11 page 269.. And everytime they practice polygamy distraction, and chaos came to their lives. But Joseph thought, Hey? if they did it, why can't I? wroooonnngg!! at least those men in the OT didn't marry to become gods or other mans wives. LOL
First thing that's wrong, is that Ed needed a better way to word his questions. Ed probably shouldn't have called. If someone asks you questions about your religion to fight you, don't even start. If they really want to know then go ahead but be patient don't get angry. Contention will drive the spirit away from any debate. This man had the spirit of contention not wanting to know.
This guy is a freaking idiot!!Try really reading your Bible man,its ALL in there, even mentions the coming forth of the Book of Mormon, what more proof do you need. Then he says this crap of How many wives di Joseph sith have??How many wives did Abraham,Issac and Jacob and many other Biblical Prophets have?Who freaking cares, get over it all ready you bleeming bitter moron,Youll be proved wrong time and time again, its ALL in the Bible even, and then we have the Book of Mormon, get a clue dork!!!
The guy on the other end of this phone is either not LDS or one super ignorant and judgmental person. However the host of this video doesn't have all of his facts straight, or has a distorted view of what the LDS church is all about. I have never once been asked or cared what someones income is, what their job is, where they came from or what they look like. there are at least 5 men in my ward who look like this guy. That has absolutely nothing to do with our church.
Shawn is entertaining for sure. I actually like watching his show. However, his wife is LDS and I heard him say he wanted to see his children go through the temple. He admitted to being addicted to painkillers. The game he's playing is an entertaining choice to make for TV. He has a strong following. But pain meds make you choose things you normally wouldn't choose. I don't expect Shawn to return to the church but it's part of the path he needs to go down and explore the things in his head.
Why don't you use your talents to produce something more uplifting. Trying to tear people down can't be that rewarding. And just to say...I live in norway and attend the church of jesus christ of latter day saint there..we, as in norwegian do not have the "ward" culture that you state all mormons have,..It seems like you just have prejudice against those that are different than you. Just like Norwgians often mock american culture.. same thing. it's not good...
Tithing = Commandment, Its required just like any other commandment this guy is just bashing on the little guy. Too bad he dosnt take into consideration that the way Jesus and John the Baptist dressed were clothing of respect just like a shirt and tie in our times. give me a break
@tjs1031 He was a mormon for 40 years! he found the truth, and he wants other lds to find it as well! He fight for the truth, he contenpts for the faith, he teaches the truth about Jesus of Nazareth! and until now, no lds has proof him wrong! do you want to try it? he dares you and I dare you!
@tjs1031 Please do your research before making judgements against this man. He has already said on another video that he knows he wont be able to bring down the entire Mormon empire.
@tjs1031 Hopefully he can pull people out of all religions who lead people away from true biblical faith whether Mormon , Catholic or JW or Muslim. This is true love to tell people the truth and save their souls. This guy has courage and compassion for the poor lost people in the world
@mollymu1 "Found out this clown screens all his calls and there are tons of people he won't talk to" Really? What's your source for this info? "So much for getting the truth out." Can the same be said of the Mormon church? "All I want is the truth. Just gimme some truth."
Almost everyone that leaves a religion has something negative and most importantly, FALSE, to say about it. You can't really go on anyone's word, especially the guys in the video, how can u take anyone seriously that tried to make an April fools joke about converting back to Mormonism, and an unfunny one at that. So he left the church because of things he didn't like....to me, just by seeing how he is on you-tube and how he acts in regards to other religions shows the kind of person he really is
Are there any things that you used to say were false in the Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ that have sinced been proved true by digs etc. I know of 2 . Let's see how honest you are.
Just listening to that telephone caller give a talk at the pulpit in the LDS Church would be a real laugh, just imagine him talking with his stutter, ''I I I want to T T Tell you that the church is T T T True''
It is not a debate when it is edited snippets of the other person...followed by long periods of commentary. It is irrelevant whether or not one agrees. But, the presentation is grievously deceitful.
I find it funny when people who try and claim objectivity start spouting opinions as if they are authoritative on anything. It is more specious than anything else.

All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being." "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us..."
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 "Everything was created through Jesus, because Jesus is God, as gospel of John explains in chapter 1:1-3, 14 -"
Funny how only the latest gospel to be written says that. You'd think if that was true that that info would be included in the earlier gospels. This is how legends and myths are created, the stories get bigger and more ridiculous with each telling.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart Have you ever encountered codex Sinaiticus, written about 350 A.D.? Goggle it. You can read directly from it on a webpage.
That is one of 5000 copies of the original-language texts. If you let what has been uncovered from very early - all the copies that one can compare - then you would know better and not be as ignorant about it. Just go ahead and learn about it. Don't take my word for it, investigate, or you deprive yourself of the truth.
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 Nothing you wrote had any relevance to the previous comments. Also, I have a minor on the topic, what do you have? Yet you have the nerve to call me ignorant? Why don't you go get an education, at the very least you might learn the concept of relevance.

@chanses2 You said 5000 copies of the original language text. That had nothing to do with anything I'd written to you, nor is it necessarily true.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart Aha! Well... that's for you to find out, There are more than 24,000 partial and complete manuscript copies of the New Testament. These manuscript copies are very ancient and they are available for inspection now. There are also some 86,000 quotations from the early church fathers and several thousand Lectionaries (church-service books containing Scripture quotations used in the early centuries of Christianity).
Want to know more? If not, don't bother.
Peace out
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 Again, RELEVANCE. Look up the word, than apply it.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart (1) I don't know where you come from, but you surely are persisten to apply any kind of measure to prove your unhistorically and unBiblically faith. The book of Mormon is invented. There are more than 24,000 partial and complete manuscript copies of the New Testament. These manuscript copies are very ancient, some even date 200 A.D. There never was any kind of mormonism in early Church history. The book of Mormon has huge plagiarisms. - (Continuing to 2)
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 I have no faith, and it's history that disproves the bibles, among other things.
"There are more than 24,000 partial and complete manuscript copies of the New Testament. "
For the 3rd time, what does that have to do with anything?
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart (2) If the book of Mormon is inspired by God (Joseph receiving one word at the time) then why has it undergone 3,913 changes from 1830, correcting mistakes like misspellings and flawed grammar? This cannot be a book inspired by God. The 24,000 partial and complete manuscript copies of the New Testament show no single thread of RELEVANCE to the book of Mormon, whatsoever. he original-language texts of koine Greek and Hebrew has never had a reason to be changed. (Continuing to 3)
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 If the bibles were inspired by 'god' why are there so many errors? Jericho didn't fall to the hebrews, it fell hundreds of years before they existed. They were never enslaved in egypt, the cencus of the NT never occurred and so on. So what?
humanistheart 2 months ago

So what? As for josephus, if you think that's true, by all means provide a source.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart (2) If over 25 000 discoveries made prove the Bible true, then some few questions will make one question the Bible, what is the next thing you will cling to in order to feel safe in your book of Mormon? Every word I write your faith taint as false, no matter what truth lies behind my word, no matter what correct source I bring them from. I can bring up Jericho, and so on and on, but because of your "prejudiced set" you will never look into the matter for yourself. Continues to 3.

I am not blue-eyed, I questined Christendom from the start, even when believing in Jesus, I wanted to be sure, and there were times when I saw these things you mention, that I had doubts, but soon I found answers, and yes... not all things are yet confirmed, but some have been confirmed lately, continue to 3
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 You have no proof. My opinion is based on evidence, yours blind faith.

I write this out of concern for you, why else would I do it? I'm not out to argue my own faith, that would be immature. If you want facts, don't remain in that enclosed environment, use your mind, don't be close-minded, Continues to 4
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 As for mormons, their religion is as false as yours, but at least theirs hasn't led them to commit any mass genocides or infanticides, and regardless of your opinion, by definition they qualify as christians.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart Hoptitudle-what? It's the heresy of Roman Catholic and Protestant Church that were connected and corrupted by political power that did these horrors. Jesus said we shall love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Anyone doing killings and horrors are absolutely in the wrong as one can be. The first Christians, before the corruption (and even persecution of those who believed in Christ) of the Roman Church, those who preached the gospel never used violence.
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 Yes he did say love your enemies, but he treated his badly. Insults, hissy fits, physical violence. Should you do as jesus said or as he did?
Anyway, back to the topic, mormons are christians by definition.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart Perhaps you interpret his reaction wrongly, out of the connection - because, if you love your child, you correct it firmly, no fysical violence, but corrections, and if you want to make someone listen to you, and make them hear what you think of them in their ignorace and blown-up haughtyness, greedy mind, don't you tell them with authority and a wake-up-call voice?
If one picks out these corrections Jesus did, and use them, and solely them, to tell how Jesus was, then what?

@humanistheart What? Do your homework thoroughly!
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 Again, I'm the one with the education, you're the one without one. You have nothing of substance, only your sarcasm.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart So, you're really emotional and out to argue for the sake of argueing, aren't you?
Some people haven't seen both sides, and I KNOW why you reason the way you do, because I've been there, too, and that's a normal thing, so don't get upset because of it, just think of it as a part of growing up. Sadly, some people, (I'm not mentioning anyone) stay prejudice and selective of history till they die, like those who don't believe in the Holocaust. Don't you think it's so?
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 Those that believed in 'the' holocaust (there's been more than one) were christians.
You continue to use long winded posts rather than provide support for your assertions. You've been doing it so long who knows what point you even had?

chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 No, there is zero evidence for the bibles, and 'the bible' does not exist.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart That's your view, and you have the right to think so, but, as long as you care not to examin the evidence, which I've told you about in your inbox, you do seem somewhat unreliable, but hey! Peace
chanses2 2 months ago
@chanses2 There is no evidence supporting the bibles.

@TheSoulamore Well the mormon / christian bit implies it's a debate between Christians and Mormons, which would be a false implication as Mormons are christians.
humanistheart 3 months ago
@humanistheart or you can just point to the fact that Mormons believe that "one of the most fallacious doctrines, originated by Satan and propounded by man is that man is saved alone by the grace of god and that belief in Jesus Christ alone is all that is needed for salvation." which is a quote from an LDS prophet and president named Spencer Kimball and also a COMPLETE ANTITHESIS for what DEFINES Christians and separates them from the rest of the world, including but not limited to... mormons.
jaquematesmusic 3 months ago
@humanistheart well apparently your not that bright or not very educated on what your arguing about. arguing that Jesus isn't god but that he was Christ without knowing what Christ means, for instance. and absolutely not true is your statement that some Christians believe the bible wasn't written by Jesus and therefore could be flawed? nope, not really. if the bible had an acceptable margin for error than Jesus' entire story would be in question. not a very christian view.
jaquematesmusic 2 months ago
@jaquematesmusic 1) I in fact have a minor in religious studies, among other sources. It's not near a major, but it's considerably more than the vast majority of americans.
"but that he was Christ without knowing what Christ means" You obviously don't know what christ means or you wouldn't call jesus one. Christ is a translation of what we know as messiah. To be a messiah one must fulfill the messianic prophicies, which jesus did not do.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@jaquematesmusic "and absolutely not true is your statement that some Christians believe the bible wasn't written by Jesus and therefore could be flawed?"
It certianly is true, and you have no bases to say otherwise other than your own pathetic beliefs.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart ...no.... Christians by definition are people who believe that Jesus was God on earth .The same God who's self proclamations were that He was the alpha and omega, beginning and the end, there was nothing before Him and there will be nothing after Him, and that there are no other gods, period. It's monotheistic. Mormons on the other hand think that Elohim, A god, had physical sexual intercourse with Mary thru Adam producing Jesus, A god, who's brother is also Satan, yada yada yada
jaquematesmusic 3 months ago
@jaquematesmusic No, Christians by definition believe jesus was the christ. The bit about god varies from denomination to denomination. I have a video on it that explains it, I'd suggest you watch.
humanistheart 3 months ago
@humanistheart OK let me make it a little clearer. CHRISTIANS believe that CHRIST told the TRUTH 100% of the time...... being that he was sinless and all that. CHRIST himself said he was God, so regardless of "denomination", he WAS God, or he was a liar, or he was crazy. There's no middle ground, there's no two ways about it. Don't need the youtube video, I actually took the time to read the book. I'll take Jesus' Word over an internet video all day any day. But that's just me...........
jaquematesmusic 3 months ago
@jaquematesmusic 1) "CHRIST himself said he was God," If by christ you mean jesus, which is itself a lie since he fulfilled no messianic prophecies, you have no bases for that. Some Christians believe their bible is the perfect word of god, others accept it was not written by jesus and is subject to error.
humanistheart 3 months ago
@jaquematesmusic 2) Either way, the definition of christian is one who believes jesus is the CHRIST, thus christian, not one who believes he was some kind of god. Mormons believe he was the christ thus they're christian by definition.
"I'll take Jesus' Word over an internet video" If you have jesus's word by all means publish it. Although how you got it when 2000 years have gone by and no one ever had it before is quite a mystery. lol
humanistheart 3 months ago
@humanistheart The Jesus you believe in is NOT the same Jesus that I, as a Christian, believes in. So Mormons can use the name Jesus Christ as much as they like in their name but that does not automatically make them Christians. I can put the prefix "Dr." in front of my name as much as I like but that does not make me a doctor. I will say this, using the word "Christ" does make someone a Christian "by definition" as far as NON-CHRISTIANS are concerned. But to actual Christians, it does not.
renegade1alpha 3 months ago
@renegade1alpha I don't believe in any jesus. There is little evidence to suggest a jesus ever lived, and none to suggest what kind of person he was. What we can say for sure is the biblical jesus did not exist at all.
"but that does not automatically make them Christians"
They believe jesus was the christ, which is the definition of CHRISTian. See my video for an explanation, it would be easier than continually correcting you.
humanistheart 2 months ago
@humanistheart I find it laughable that you argue that fact that someone does NOT exist. I know Santa Claus does not exist but I won't argue it with someone that does. As for them believing in Christ, as I have said they do not believe in the same Christ I believe in. If you know someone with the same name that I do that does not mean we are talking about the same person. They can be two entirely different people. Their version and definition of Christ is different than mine. That is my point.
renegade1alpha 2 months ago
@humanistheart I will let you have the last word as I would with any child or person who is too stupid or ignorant to understand grasp what I am saying. Besides, because you are not of any faith whatsoever, your argument or definition on Christianity holds no validity and is therefore a moot point. It would be like a doctor arguing medicine with a mechanic. I have more respect for Mormons and what they believe. At least they have some basis to argue from.
Go ahead, the floor is yours.
renegade1alpha 2 months ago
@renegade1alpha "your argument or definition on Christianity holds no validity "
It's not my definition of christianity, it's the standard definition used in all religion class'. It's THE definition of Christianity.
"It would be like a doctor arguing medicine with a mechanic"
A false analogy. You assume that if someone is not of faith their opinion, or any facts they have, are not valid, when in reality atheists have far more education than theists on the average.

I'm not sure that "alpha and omega" means God.

Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.

I have studied faith for 10 yrs. Mormonism is the biggest cult ponzy scam to hit the US since Jehovah witness. Either 144,000 angels or the world is going to end in 1914. It's all a scam.

Gotta love making money selling faith in fiction, huh? GOD...DOG...? Dogs are real...

Very unprofessional. Makes me dislike Mormonism more than I do now.
AllyMind5Star 3 months ago

"Prove Homer existed." - Believing in the evidence for Homer doesn't require me to accept any of the lies about salvation if you believe in Jeebus.
jlorz 3 months ago
@TubeNumber1USA "The Bible proves itself to be God's written word - by presenting roughly 3,000 prophecies - that have been fulfilled to the letter. " No they aren't! Jesus! There isn't a SINGLE prophecy that has been "fulfilled". There is NO EVIDENCE for any resurrection. NONE. Every mystical claim of the bible is ABSOLUTELY DEVOID of evidence. Give us some, if you have it, but you will be completely silent on evidence that can be tested and that's why you are part of the liars of Xianty.

Uuuuhhhh. Dude. All of these questions are asked in any church? Oh, and fuck you. God doesn't exist.

Just as the Witnesses. They are very faithful and true.

TheJpgr1958 4 months ago
So his religion is a fairy tale, and your religion is not a fairy tale.
My best guess? It's both as true as santa claus.
Watchernator 4 months ago
Almost everyone that leaves a religion has something negative and most importantly, FALSE, to say about it. You can't really go on anyone's word, especially the guys in the video, how can u take anyone seriously that tried to make an April fools joke about converting back to Mormonism, and an unfunny one at that. So he left the church because of things he didn't like....to me, just by seeing how he is on you-tube and how he acts in regards to other religions shows the kind of person he really is

Debate. where?
kiwiguy77 5 months ago
It is not a debate when it is edited snippets of the other person...followed by long periods of commentary. It is irrelevant whether or not one agrees. But, the presentation is grievously deceitful.
