HES IN A BAND CALLED GYPSY ROSE AND HE ALSO JUST RELEASED A CD CALLED "UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE" UNDER THE NAME "rEECE" ITS A SOLO PROJECT , .BUT YOU CAN PUNCH HIS STUFF UP ON HERE! HES ONE OF MY FRIENDS
I was there the night they broke up. It was at the Palamino in N. Hollywood... they were supposed to play that night and something happened to the drummer.. got wasted or something.. so they brought in another drummer and did a few covers. Never heard from them again after that night.
This was back with the bass player & drummer who recorded the CD"On Target".A short time later they were gone[rumors abound that David booted them out because of their "Appearance(looks/image)" and Herricane Alice's rhythm section of Mayo/Ramos stepped in.Their CD came out the same day Nirvana's "Nevermind" did ,thus signaling an end to "Hair/Glam/Strip Metal" as we know it.
dave is the man.. he used to be david lynn back in milwaukee when he and jackie were in a band called "Lillian X". Dave then went to be the singer of Accept. After that he started Bangalore Choir and got Jackie and Ian from herican alice.. Dave is originally from the twin cities area and is probably back there now.. AWESOME SINGER!!!.. and Jackie is one badass drumer, especially for having both is ankles broken early in his carrier.. They're badass to say the least.
SOmebody told me that the singer in this video used to be the singer in Hellion before Ann Boleyn. Anybody know if this is true and does anybody have videos or demos?
Oh man, I think I was doing lights at that show -- I did all their So Cal gigs --Reece sure had the power voice --- boy they were tight as heck! Glad to see the vid is with the original line up with Danny Greenberg (bass) and Derek Thomas (drums) --- if only the album had released two years earlier instead of on the day Nirvana's first came out. The OnTarget album really is a blast, even if the producer radio-friendlied it up a bit much. I sure wish someone would post more live footage..
it's true. I think the title of the album is going to be "Back from the Road to Ruin" There has been a personel change. David Reece and John Kirk are still in the band. They have a new drummer, Dean Clarkson (from Razormaid)the rest of the line-up is still in the air but when its finalized I will let you know.
I thought this was their best song...I saw these guys at the FM Station in the valley around this time...very impressed..still listen to the CD now and then!
hey man, I think this is the way the song was before the producer did a little rearranging...alot of the versions of tunes they had on the demo that got them signed were tougher with more minor chords - Max Norman turned a few into major shords for marketing purposes. I sure wish there were more vid clips of them...

Yeah, this sounds much more heavier and I think this sounds much better than the one on Eat The Heat.
