Stan Lee is a genius, and Spideman is 1 of my favs, but let's face it, the mechanical web-shooter gimmik and the web formula in the orignal concept, hand-made by Peter Parker himself, was kind of lame. I mean, his got the radioactive spider abilities, so what's the point of being a Spider-Man if you cannot spread webs naturally, like a real spider would do? If I had to choose, I'd go for the organic way, which is much cooler and actually makes a lot more sense along with his other abilities.

The organic version is better. It makes Spider-Man more of a superhero (and more sense) when he has the ability to develop web in his body like a spider.

He has the abilty to jump 50 feet and climb walls without any technolgy, so why not shoot real web also?

If entirely mechanical, the web shooters would have to be low tech. Yeah, Peter Parker is a nerd, but he is not Tony Stark. Mechanical web shooters being high tech defeats the purpose of Parker being entirely simple. As mentioned in the video, the web shooters would be plugged into his body.

In James Cameron 's scriptment, they had it where Peter Parker invented the webshooters so that people won't think that the webbing is organic because he thought that it will make him look freaky.
