I have some counterpoints that I hope you will consider. What we payed for with 9/11 was the foreign policy that Ron Paul is trying to stop and all the other candidates want to continue. We were attacked because we had bases on Saudi Arabia's sacred homeland and we bombed iraq and afghanistan for weeks killing innocent people. If we had done what Ron Paul is advocating for, 9/11 most likely would not have happened. If we continue with this policy toward Iran, what will happen next?

My only problem with what you're saying about Iran is that you're neglecting to account for what originally got so many middle-easterners so bent out of shape. We've soldiers in their countries for years before 9/11. I can imagine that, if a foreign government occupied your neighborhood, dropped bombs and killed your family and friends you'd harbor some ill intent towards them. Bombing countries doesn't make friends, the best defense is a justified offense.

Ron Paul has said many times that he wants to maintain a strong national defense, but for some reason a lot of Republicans don't hear that. He is against over reaching militarism, but he's not for a weak military. I think perhaps you might be holding a grudge. I have to disagree with you on the military issue though. I think he actually supports a stronger military than we have now because it would not be spread around the entire globe. I have some counterpoints that I hope you will consider. What we payed for with 9/11 was the foreign policy that Ron Paul is trying to stop and all the other candidates want to continue. We were attacked because we had bases on Saudi Arabia's sacred homeland and we bombed iraq and afghanistan for weeks killing innocent people. If we had done what Ron Paul is advocating for, 9/11 most likely would not have happened. If we continue with this policy toward Iran, what will happen next?

My only problem with what you're saying about Iran is that you're neglecting to account for what originally got so many middle-easterners so bent out of shape. We've soldiers in their countries for years before 9/11. I can imagine that, if a foreign government occupied your neighborhood, dropped bombs and killed your family and friends you'd harbor some ill intent towards them. Bombing countries doesn't make friends, the best defense is a justified offense.

He is against over reaching militarism, but he's not for a weak military. I think perhaps you might be holding a grudge. Democracy & trust has to come from people, it can't be forced on people. Now we have made an enemy of the Iraqi people. What shall we do, continually overthrow people's governments, continually kill people in more and more countries to subdue them? I don't see that working, only working against us as it has in the past.

Iran has allowed the UN to inspect and signed 3 non proliferation treaties. There is no evidence that Iran is producing a weapon. Our country is 1.5T in debt just this year. No other candidate is talking about how to reduce that except Ron Paul. Where is our national defense going to be when we're spending $800B a year in interest.

Newly Added limit. $1.2T for a total of $16.5T before end of this year. Projection by 2016 debt $22T with interest of $800B. Time to make some choices and NO other candidate is proposing anything that will protect the value of our retirement savings etc. If being a bad ass and bombing Iran means that much vote Santorum.

It is not necessary for America to perpetually be at war in order to be a super power.
