Also, there is a lot of construction currently going on in the community in question, and the population within a short radius numbers well over 100,000 residents. I have heard all kinds of sounds before, but that's what you get living in a city.

In most of these cases within cities most people pawn it off as city noises. I heard these the other morning but probably could have slept through them if I wasn't already awake. Once someone hears the jet sound they go about their business thinking its a jet. Only a few realize that its going for a half hour.
@wthf5 Yeah, I saw that video and the people on it weren't reacting at all. Not one reaction. Not one glance at the sky. This is why these fake sound producers learned not to use video where a lot of people aren't reacting to sounds that AREN'T there. @schlubber215 Not sure you saw the same thing. The announcers at the game were commenting on it and saying it was annoying them. The game was in a dome and the noise was permeating through the doors. There was also several videos on youtube of outdoor footage taken on the same day so it had multiple sources. I was skeptical at first as well until I heard these noises for myself. Hopefully like me, you'll get to hear them soon and have some personal validation.

@alicedespard I live up in Baltimore and have heard this on several occasions. It's not really that loud but it is noticeable. I always hear these sounds of what sounds like air being let out of an extremely large air compressor. Next time I hear it I'll make sure to post a video.
@alicedespard I've heard these sounds throughout the last 4 months or so. Usually when there's a lot moisture in the air the sound is a bit louder. The first time I heard anything of the sort was when I felt a big vibration and what sounded like a subwoofer just letting a 3 second bar of bass. All the other times have been the sound in this video. Oddly enough the sound comes from the South West as you mentioned. There's another video on here from Coney Island NY saying it came from the SW.
My brain I.D. matched all the sounds in the videos to the alien movie skyline. I am sure an almighty horn would sound like something I had never heard of. I just see people talking about the videos not people commenting that they heard to.

Looks like you are close to where I live...near the river.
Several of us in the Cabin John area have heard these sounds too.
Exactly these sounds, at night, sounding somewhat directional from
the SW, but we are not sure. Thought (prayed) it might be Metro tunnel
construction at Tysons Corner, but unable to corroborate that, and heard
the sounds again after midnight...why construction after midnight?
