The vocals were softer, yes, but it's the best cover I've seen of it, and it's beautiful...seriously...really beautiful, the only one I've bothered to watch all the way through simply for the joy of hearing the song.
I don't understand why so many people insist in covering these songs and then singing them like your paul simon or some boyband. I think youre missing the point of what Meloy is trying to achieve. Drop the capo and sing louder. This isn't a lullaby.
@blacklistbarbies True, but Colin has such a unique voice and such a clever meter to his lyrics that it's quite difficult to reproduce, and the point of a cover is that it isn't supposed to be an exact copy of the original. A good cover maintains the general theme of the original song, but the covering artist still makes it their own.
This is a good song, and I'm sorry to say that I don't really think you did the vocals justice. The guitar part was nearly perfect. You remembered all the lyrics, which has me beat, but your voice is a bit weak. If you had a stronger voice, I'd say this is awesome.
if you google the song name with the word tab at the end, you will find every major tab site with the tabs. the only catch is...you have to spell the song title right. sheesh.
