  • Hey coach....just have a question and hoped you could help...well I'm following quiet well the nutrition plan but I'm adding to my workout days whey protein after workouts and casein at night....well should I then on those days cut down on other protein intakes of the plan ( chicken, eggs etc)?

  • @aviman Factor in everything you put in your body, that includes whey protein. The only thing I don't factor in but I always make sure I "earn it" in my workouts is my recovery drink.

  • @Beripped4life coach Leo, i haven't followed the diet in p90x but i have been eating small amounts of the food my mom makes, she cooks really healthy meals like rice,eggs for breakfast, chicken, beans ect., i eat subway once a week and i don't eat fast food at all, i quit drinking soda, do you think p90x will still work for me?

  • @aviman If you are eating right and exercising consistently, you can be flipping rocks in a yard and it will work for you. Be consistent with your food. If you are not counting calories, use common sense in the portion control approach.

  • i just discovered p90x and i think it is worth a try. but i am struggling with the nutritional measurement. what exactly is "a cup"? a cup could be 200ml or 1 l to me (european here). could you help me out? maybe with gramms or ml?

  • @d0p3man1 No problem. I also grew up using the metric system. one cup is 236ml. You can find all sort of conversions at onlineconversion(dot)com

  • iight got a question for ya i am skinny so im not going down in weight but need to bulk up a bit and i was reading in the p90x booklet that with little reps with more weight is for that and more reps adds more endurance i want to be like in the middle around like you so any tips about your protien shakes, suppliments and food and i am 14 so i have the testosterone to bulk up just need some help me and my dad (he is about the opposite of me) are starting this wednesday after my exams thanks

  • @ncbadirtbag2 If you want to gain weight, and by weight I mean lean weight, you need a surplus of calories nut still eat super clean. At age 14, instead of focusing on the maximum weight or the number of lifts, the emphasis should be on executing proper form. At this age you should consult with your dad prior to make an changes in your diet.

  • @Beripped4life Ya we started today actually and i eat the leftover chicken that the rest of the family didnt eat dad is doing p90x too so its hard for me to have a high calories and him have less i had a protien bar today and a few snacks we need to go get some dumb bells tomorrow and a recovery drink and maybe over time it will just add up with higher calories im not planning on stopping at day 90

  • i have a question, i do my p90x workout around 7 to 9 o'clock at night because of my busy schedule, should i have my dinner before or after i do the my workout

  • @davidman311 I would eat before working out which is normally what I do. You don't want to have all those extra calories after your workout since you won't be directly burning them off during the night. After the workout, try a recovery drink/protein shake.

  • Hey man your video is very informative, and accurate. I was wondering was the percent for stage 1 was 50% protein, 30% carbs, 20% fats? now was that every day?

    and also do you have a menu guide as to what you did as far as snacks and such? thanks man any tips would be greatly appreciated.

  • @DELTAFORCE1981 Yes, I followed that diet every day in the fat shredder phase and extended it for most of my transformation since I was getting good results and did not feel the need of the extra carbs for energy.
